Chang Chang was here? That could only mean one thing. The end was near. I had to prepare myself.
FLASHBACK:
"Liam, please don't do this to me. You can't leave me! I'll die without you!. Please Liam! Please!"
"I'm sorry, Ching Ching. I have no choice. I need to follow my heart." Liam replied coldly.
"But you said that I was your everything! You even wrote me a poem. I still have it."
Hearing my pathetic attempt to make him stay, Liam's eyes softened slightly.
"I'm sorry. I really am. Here, take this paper. Open it only after I leave. I'll love you forever Ching Ching. Goodbye, my sweet."
I reluctantly took the paper he was holding out to me and watched him leave, feeling my heart breaking into a million pieces.
After nearly an hour of weeping, I read the note he had given me.
* I fell( (I fell)
So fast (so fast)
Can't hold myself,
Back.
High heels (high heels)
Red dress (red dress)
All by yourself,
Gotta catch my breath .
Walk in the room,
All I can see is you.
You're staring me down,
I know you feel it too.
I love you Ching Ching. This is my final goodbye. * I started weeping afresh after reading the heart-rending poem. I picked up a razor and was about to slit my wrists when I heard a knock on the door. I opened the door, hoping against hope that Liam had changed his mind but instead I saw Chang Chang. "Chang Chang? Is it really you?" I asked, shocked to see him standing in front of me. "Yes Ching Ching. It is. I have come to warn you. The end is near. You must build a safehouse for yourself. I cannot stay, but I must tell you this. The next time you hear my name, you must go to your safehouse and stay there. That's all I can say. Goodbye Ching Ching." Saying that, Chang Chang disappeared before I could ask him any questions. I stood there, bewildered. Chang Chang was my brother from another mother back in Korea, but we actually shared the same mother.
So, in other, words, he was my brother. I trusted him completely and knew that I would have to build a safehouse. All my questions would be answered later. I was sure of it.
End Of Flashback
I rapidly exited the room and drove my Ferrari to my safehouse. None of my underlings were worthy of being saved. Neither was Ed.
It was just me.
I was the only one worthy of surviving what I thought to be the apocalypse.
Little did I know how wrong I was.
