A/N: You wanted it! You asked for it! So here it is! Also, just a note, I should tell you that this fanfic is in a modernish time setting, but still has a more medieval time setting also. Kinda combined if you know what I'm saying... Um... If not... Then just go with it... XD

Pickle's POV:
My life used to be so wonderful, living a royal life and all, but ever since my father was killed, it hasn't been the same... "Pickle!" a feminine voice shouted. "Yes, Mother?" I asked. "Have you sent OJ out to go fi-" she started to say when I interrupted her, "For the last time, yes, I have." "Pickle Pilla! You really oughta have a better attitude! And give more respect... You are going to become the king soon!" my mother informed me for the millionth time today. "I know Mother... I know... Once I turn 17, I'll officially become King of Pilla..." I responded, sighing. "You do realize what this means, don't you?" she then asked. I looked at her, then said, "Yes, you've told me so many times. I'll have a bunch of responsi-" I started to say when she then interrupted me. "No no, not that. Something else dear," she said. I gave her a look of confusion. "Every King needs a Queen..." she then said. My eyes widened. "Mother... Doesn't this seem... Soon...?" I asked in response. "Pickle, your father married me when he was 20. You don't have t-" she started to explain when I interrupted her once more. "Don't mention my father in front of me..." I said, slightly angered. "I'm sorry dear, but what I'm saying is you have to find a fiancée before you become King. You don't necessarily have get married until age 21. But that's the oldest age. Still, you need a fiancé by the time you turn 17... The day you turn 17 is the last day you have to find her (A/N: Okay, this sounds so much like "Aladdin" right now, but I promise you it's not gonna be the same kind of story. XD)... If you don't pick by the end of that day, then I'm just going to have to pick someone for you..." she explained to me. "Mother! You can't just pick a fiancé for me!" I objected. "Son, that's just the way it works..." she said in response. I sighed again. My birthday is in two weeks. This was gonna be a long two weeks...

Taco's POV:
After I heard the fanfare of trumpets, I got so confused. I put down the lemon, then looked outside my window. There was a man with orange hair standing in the center of town. With him was a carriage being pulled by four white horses. Once the fanfare of trumpets was finished, he cleared his throat, the began to speak loudly, "HEAR YE! HEAR YE! The Prince himself has proclaimed that he is in need of more servants, and more maids! If you wish to sign up, come out here and sign your name here, and you shall be interviewed!" "Pickle's in need of servants and maids...?" I asked myself. I then gasped. "This is my chance to see him again!" I exclaimed out loud to no one. I looked at myself in mirror. I look way too much like my childhood self... I thought. I grabbed a pair of scissors and carefully cut my hair a bit, giving myself side bangs, covering my left eye. I then removed the green and red headband from my hair. I then placed my hair in a side braid over my right shoulder. No one will recognize me... I thought, satisfied. I looked out the window, making sure the man was still there, and he was. I was about to step outside the door, when I stopped. I turned around and looked at the painting. I couldn't just leave it... But... I could be with the real Pickle... I sighed, then stepping outside. The man was just about to leave! "WAIT!" I exclaimed in an accent. Might as well change my voice while I'm at it... The man stopped and turned around, seeing me running towards him. Once I reached him, he said, "Maids are never late... May have to keep that in mind when we interview you..." he said. I looked at him, annoyed. I don't like this person much... I thought to myself. "Your name?" the man then asked. "T-" I was about to tell him my name, but I couldn't let him know who I was! Then Pickle would find out who I was and I wouldn't become a maid! "Tora..." I then said. It was the first name I thought of. "Alright then. Haven't heard that name before..." he said. "So? Got an issue with it?!" I asked, annoyed once again. "Okay, okay! Geez, no need to get all feisty!" he exclaimed. I then got in the carriage with the other people who were going to be interviewed. We were all then brought to the castle, everyone being silent. Once we got there, we all got out and were ordered to form a line. We all got in a line, me being the fourth last in line out of 16 people. I sighed quietly, nervous about not knowing what to expect.

Pickle's POV:
"Your Majesty, the people are waiting outside," OJ came and told me. "OJ, I've told you so many times, you don't have to call me that," I said. We were friends. "I know... But... It just feels weird to not call you that..." he said sheepishly. I smiled, then said, "We should be interviewing the people now, right?" OJ nodded, then left to go bring in the first person. I wonder how long this is going to take...

Taco's POV (A/N: This fanfic is definitely going to be more of Taco's POV than Pickle's POV, but don't worry. Pickle will have longer POVs! XD):
I stood in line, waiting for it to be my turn. I would occasionally hear super loud yelling, and then people running off, some of them crying. I stared at them, worried. What if I became one of those people...? "Tora? You're next," the man from earlier came out and said. I slowly stepped into the kingdom, wondering what would happen next. I stepped in, and memories came to me. I hadn't been in the castle for years... Well... That would make sense... I followed the man into a room. Then... I saw him... Pickle... He seems different... His hair was still curly, but his Afro was a bit bigger... And poofier... More muscular, more serious... And... And quite attractive... Just like I've heard the girls in Letta say... "Ahem..." I then heard a voice say. "Wh-wha...?" I asked, focusing again. "I asked if you were ready for your interview..." Pickle said. His voice was deeper than the last time I heard it. Well, duh... Puberty and all... "Y-yes!" I answered. "Your Majesty..." I then quickly added. "Your name... Tora, is it?" he asked. I nodded. "You remind me of someone, Tora... But I can't quite figure out who..." Pickle said. "Oh, heh, really? Your Majesty?" I asked nervously. Oh no... Is he going to know who I really am?! I thought worriedly. "So, why do you think I should let you become a maid of mine?" he then asked. Phew... "Well, I... Your Majesty, I highly respect you, and I think you are a great person. Working for you would be an honor, and plus... I have no one in my life... My parents are gone... And it's been really hard for me... B-but we shouldn't base my interview off of my personal life! N-no, I really want to work for you, and I want to help... It's what my parents would've wanted..." I explained. "And I want to be with you..." I quietly added to myself. "What was that last part?" the other man, whose name I still don't know, asked. "Oh, nothing..." I replied. "You should tell us what you said," the man said more firmly. "OJ! I think that's enough..." Pickle said, looking at the man. "Yes, your Majesty... Sorry..." OJ answered. Pickle then looked at me. "You seem like you could use the job, and you sound like you could do it well. Tora, welcome to the castle," he said, slightly smiling. "R-really? Thank you!" I exclaimed. "Allow me to take you to your room..." OJ then said, standing up. Pickle then quietly whispered something to OJ, but I couldn't hear what he said. I then stood up, quickly curtseying to Pickle, then following OJ. Before I left the room, I turned my head to look at Pickle once more. He glanced up at me, then glancing back down to his desk. As OJ and I walked to my new room, OJ said to me, "Listen, Tora? I'm sorry about trying to force what you said earlier out of you... I'm guessing it wasn't very important, but I'm just going to apologize now so it doesn't bother me later..." "Oh...? Alright then... It's fine..." I responded. We stopped at one room, after what felt like forever, then OJ opened the door. "This is where you will be staying. Make yourself at home. A carriage will take you to your old home so you can bring your personal belongings here," OJ told me. "Thank you..." I replied. "Alright, I'll come up here and kno-" he then started to say when a voice bellowed, "OJ!" "Coming sire!" OJ responded. "I'll be right back..." he then said, walking away. I walked around my room, amazed. This room was almost bigger than my house! Did all the maids and servants have rooms this size?! I looked at the bed that was in the wall. I walked over to it and laid down on it. Ah... So comfy... It was wonderful! I could get used to this... I placed my hands in my pockets, then remembering my headband was in there. I looked at a nearby dresser. I stood up and walked over to it. I then placed the headband in one of the drawers of the dresser, underneath the maid outfits. "Tora?" a voice asked. I jumped, startled, and slammed the drawer shut. I quickly turn around and saw OJ. "O-OJ!" I exclaimed. "You scared me." "Sorry... But I just came to inform you that a carriage is ready to take you to your old home... You can pack up your things and bring them here," he told me. I nodded, then saying, "Okay, thanks." "Would you like me to show you where the carriage is?" he asked. "No thanks... I know where it is..." I replied. It may have been years since I've been here, but I know this castle inside out. OJ looked at me suspiciously. "Tora, how do you know where it is...?" he asked. "Oh! I... Um..." Crap... I forgot I was Tora, the girl who's never been in here before... "Uh, I read a book about the castle! I memorized it, know my way around inside out!" I lied. "Alright then... Fair enough..." he said, then walked off. I walked by myself to the carriage, then got in. The carriage took me to my house, then I went in while the carriage waited. I walked inside my house, looking at the very few items I would have to bring with me. I grabbed the mirror off my wall, then set it on the ground. I grabbed my few other things, including my only "fancy" outfit, then set them all by the door. I then looked at the painting. I was not leaving this behind. Never. But I couldn't let anyone see it... I grabbed a sheet that I had, then covered the painting. Not only would this hide it, but it would protect it as well. I smiled in satisfaction. I then grabbed the basket of lemons in my kitchen. I like lemons! I'm not leaving perfectly good lemons behind! I then saw the one I had set down earlier. Yeah, that one can stay... I then grabbed the note from my parents. Yep, I still have it. The note and the headband were the two things I had left from my parents... I placed the note in my pocket, then some men came and loaded the other items onto the carriage. "Not as much as I expected..." one of the men said. I walked back onto the carriage, then we headed back to the castle.
