Elena POV

After my meeting with Damon, I head to see Jason. I wonder what we'll do tonight.
The day I met Jason replays in my mind.

As I head down the streets of Paris, I run into someone. Dropping all of my important documents. I'm here on a very important business trip. The fashion designs in my hands, will decide if I'm good enough to be one of the top designers.
"I'm so sorry miss. Let me help you."
"No it was my fault. I should've been looking ahead of me."
We both bend down to pick up my things. Then I look up.
Before me is a very handsome man.
"My name's Jason. What's yours?"
"I'm Elena."
"It's very nice to make your acquaintance, Elena. Could I get you a coffee?"
"Why not?"
We both smile at eachother and we go order coffee.
After the day we spent together, I forgot all about Damon.

I smile at how well I remember our first memory together. As I head up the elevator, to the penthouse.
I sigh.
Jason is all I could ever wish for. I'm so happy to have him in my life.
"Jason I'm home!"
"Hello darling! Come eat!"
He made me pasta. As we eat, we talk to each other about our day. I tell him about my meeting with Damon. I told him everything about Damon, including everything about his mother.
"How did it go?"
"It was very annoying. I told him, If he wanted answers to go talk to his mom."
"Do you think he'll talk to her?"
"I hope so. I've wanted him to know the truth for so long."
"Elena, I love you so much."
"I love you to."
We grab each others hands from across the table. I look down at my gorgeous engangmeant ring. We've been planning for months.
"Jason, I want our wedding to be this fall. Not next fall. I don't want to wait."
"Really?"
"Yes. Is that ok?"
"That's wonderful!"
He stands up and gives me a long kiss.

Damon POV

I sit in the restaurant, waiting patiently for my mother to arrive. Luckily she was In London, so the plane ride wasn't to long. When I look up, I see her walking up to my booth.
"Hello, son! How are you?"
"Hello, mom. I'm fine."
We both sit and order are meal. It's been over two months since I've seen her. Once our meal arrives we begin to eat and I decide pop the big question.
"What did you do to Elena, that made her leave me?"
Her eyes widen in fright.
"Why?"
"I've seen her. She works at a place I believe is called Vogue. She is the main fashion designer there. She runs the whole place. Why did she leave me?"
I say that in a bratty kind of way.
"It's been over five years, why can't you just let it go?"
"I want to know the truth. So that I can move on."
"I paid her money and told her she couldn't see you again!"
I feel a hole inside of my body. After all these years, I know now. When Elena told me to talk to my mother, I had hoped she was lying.
"Why would you do that to the woman I love?"
"She wasn't good enough for you. You needed someone that would make it an advantageous marriage."
"Go. I don't want to see you."
"Goodbye, Damon."
After she leaves, I sit being motionless. I have wanted to make Elena suffer for years and now all I feel is unhappy.
I'm sorry Elena.
