You drove around the church's parking lot to find a space in the middle of the afternoon. One empty space was in the far back corner of the lot, turning off the engine, you sat there in silence. You checked your make up and reapplied it since you were slightly sweaty nervously. Taking in a deep breath, you pick up your small purse and got out, maneuvering your way throughout the cars to the steps of the church.
Taking in the surroundings, it was beautiful. You frowned at its beauty and forced yourself to look away. Walking around the halls and observing the stunning details of the painted pictures on the wall. The clanking of the high heels echoed throughout, you walked to the garden and there he stood.
"Hey, you." Catching his attention from your soft voice, Jorel turned around with a start and relaxed when it was you. You casually strolled closer to him to start a decent conversation with him. His black and white suit made him more handsome, his black hair was styled neatly with delicate hands that brought out his gauges.
"Hey, (y/n)." He greeted you, but it wasn't the same from before. "I kinda started to think you weren't gonna come." He said smiling, God, his perfect smile has always melted your heart.
"Yeah, I kinda didn't want to, but I just wanted to.. you know." You trailed off, Jorel nodded and stared at the flowers. You were losing your confidence that you can have closure on this whole thing. Silence fell upon you two, you stood there with your head down and spoke.
"I.. I'm sorry that things didn't work between us, and.. maybe it's my fault that we broke up." You started. Jorel looked at you confused, then later realized what you meant. "Even though our relationship was short-lived, it was the best two years of my life, and this is very difficult for me to let, things I cherish the most, go." You stared at the vibrant green grass as you started to choke up, tears were on the very edge of coming down. "I hope you and Vanessa have a wonderful life together.."
"(Y/n), don't blame yourself for all that happened, I'll admit that I didn't do my part in our relationship. I shouldn't have done those awful things to you behind your back, and I'm sorry for that. Don't worry, I'll take half of the blame, and thank you." Your heart tore in two, your tears were finally set free from being imprisoned by your closed eyelids. "Hey, come on now," nudging your arm. "Don't cry." You wiped your cheek with the back of your hand, taking in a deep breath to slow down the tears.
"Thank you Jorel, umm, I think I should be going now, I hope you'll be happy. Congratulations on your.. marriage." You said looking at him with a sad smile and walked away, halfway in the garden, Jorel hugged you from behind and whispered,
"I just wanted to say that in the worst times you stuck by me and thank you. I appreciate the memories you gave of our time together and I won't forget about my first love. I won't forget you. Thank you for giving me something to cherish forever in my heart." You held his arm as you cried, you desperately needed him back but it was too late.

When Jorel had to do some things, you took the opportunity to do something else. You roamed around the church's halls, the same echoing sounds from shoes were still there. Finally, you reached where you needed to be, you stopped in front of a door and knock. It took a while for someone to open it, which was one of Vanessa's bridesmaids who did.
"May I speak to Vanessa for a little bit?" You politely asked, the lady was unsure, but Vanessa heard you. Vanessa let you in and from there, she looked beautiful in her wedding dress.
"(Y/n), what do you need?" She asked you to while she fixed her half black and half white hair.
"You can drop the innocent act, face it, we both don't like each other, but I just wanted to tell you that, I'm happy for you and Jorel on your marriage and hope you two will live a wonderful life together." You fought back with all your might to not shed tears. The last time you met Vanessa was when you two tried to fight each other.
"Oh," Vanessa surprised at what you just said. "Thank you (y/n). That's very thoughtful of you." She smiled at how mature you are now. You nodded and turned away to exit the church, then you wanted to get something off your chest.
"Oh, um, I planned to have someone kidnap you and leave in Bangkok. I didn't have enough money to pay the plane tickets or the person, so, sorry." You said. Vanessa was taken back by the plan you had but didn't do it. You opened the door enough for you to walk out, you said to her, "Jorel likes it when you play with his hair and make homemade cat treats." Sniffing softly and walking out, Vanessa was a little surprised, but overall she smiled.
