emma
"shaaaawwnnn." i whine, tossing and turning around the couch. "stop cleaning and go make me breakfast."
he turns around and sticks his tongue out at me, i stick it right back. ah yes, we have quite a good brother-sister relationship. "make your own, or just buy some. the café is right around the corner." he suggests, wiping the dinner table vigorously.
i let out a loud groan. i can't go to the store, literally all i'm wearing is a long white sweatshirt with fuzzy socks. and i'm not thinking of changing anytime soon "i can't go dressed like this shawn." he ignores my comment and keeps cleaning.
the only reason he's like this is because his stupid friends are coming today. they're staying for a couple of weeks, and shawn wants to make sure everything is perfect for their arrival. "the boys will be here any minute, why don't you go change?"
i let out a laugh, he thinks i'm gonna change clothes just for his friends? ha, no. "i'm going to the café." i say, then grab my phone and walk out of the house. i don't care if i'm dressed like this, i'm hungry.
i buy myself a chocolate muffin, my favorite, then leave the café. it only takes like two minutes to walk back home, so i arrive there in no time. "aight shawn, i bought myself some breakfast." i say, taking a bite of my muffin. "and before you ask, no i'm not shari-"
i stop mid-sentence once i see a group of boys sitting on the couch. "emma! you got here just in time, these are my friends." shawn introduces, a big grin on his face.
i wipe off some of the chocolate on my lips, then send them a goofy smile. "nice to meet you all." i tell them, a mouth full of muffin. the boys all smile and wave back.
shawn and the rest of the boys stand up and walk towards me. each one of them took their turn to introduce themselves. there aren't a whole lot of them, so i memorized them all. there's nash, cameron, and matthew.
as i'm about to make my way upstairs, i see another boy walking towards me. i turn around to face him, and my eyes enlarge a bit. "hi, i'm hayes." the boy says, sending me a cute smile. he sticks his hands into his pocket, while looking at me in the eyes.
"nice to meet you, i'm emma." i reply, flashing him the best grin i can. he's pretty good looking, with blue eyes, flowing brown hair, and is taller than be by a good amount of inches. i'm like an elf compared to him.
"it's great to finally meet you, shawn's told me a lot about you. you're prettier than i imagined." he says, causing my cheeks to heat up. i look up to see hayes blushing as well, what could be more adorable than that?
hayes
"nice to meet you all." shawn's sister says, the cutest smile playing on her lips. shawn has talked a lot about her, but i never pictured her like this. she's absolutely stunning, her eyes are worth melting for, and her smile is the cutest thing ever.
all the boys go up to her and introduce themselves, but i'm too shy to talk to her. after a few minutes of her talking to the boys, she starts heading up the stairs. i quickly try to catch up to her, i need to talk to her before she leaves.
"hi, i'm hayes." i say as i nervously stick my hands inside my pockets. a sort of habit that i do quite frequently. i look directly at her chocolate brown eyes, and wander how the heck a girl like that is related to shawn.
"nice to meet you, i'm emma." she answers. emma, i like that name. i think it fits her perfectly.
"it's great to finally meet you, shawn's told me a lot about you. you're prettier than i imagined." i admit, immediately regretting what i said. i think i came off a bit too strong.
i look over at emma to see her blushing, which is adorable by the way. i look down at her, and realize how short she really is. but that's a huge turn on for me, which makes her even better.
"well, i'm gonna go now. i have some netflix and chilling that needs to be done." she says, a small giggle following after that. i chuckle at her use of words, even tho i am a bit upset i won't be able to talk to her more.
"i'll see you later hayes, hopefully we get a chance to hang out." she says, then walks away. hopefully? forget that, i'm going to make sure we do.
