"Luke," I whisper, poking his cheek.

He opens up one eye and looks down at me, a small smile on his face.

We both woke up a couple hours ago, but neither of us really wanted to get up, so we've been just laying here.

He hums in response, pulling me in closer so my face is pushed against his bare chest.

"Can you make coffee?"

He laughs lightly, making his chest vibrate.

"Yeah," he says, rubbing my arm and pressing a kiss to my forehead before getting up.

He grabs his glasses from the night stand, not bothering to put on a shirt, and he has some plaid pajama pants hanging from his hips.

Puberty hit Luke hard. Sure, he was hot in senior year. But now, holy shit.

His hair is grown a bit, and he doesn't bother gelling it anymore, letting it just hang on his forehead. And he thinks he keeps losing his razors, but I'm secretly hiding them. I fucking love his stubble. Not to mention his confidence level. As he grew up, he became more comfortable with himself.

His lip ring doesn't stop getting attractive, either.

He walks out the room, leaving me alone in bed.

I stare up at the ceiling, a small smile on my face. After Michael and I broke up, I was really upset. But when Luke came home to visit for his moms birthday and came to visit me, I became happier. He just put a smile on my face and I don't know why I didn't see it before.

He is smart, and incredibly beautiful. He's the sweetest guy you could ever meet.

He stays here nearly every night now. He says because Cat isn't here yet he doesn't want me to feel alone. And since he is living with his parents still because he's leaving for Yale again, he doesn't care about not being home.

Once Cat comes he won't be here as much, but not because she doesn't know about us yet.

I really want to tell Cat. She's my best friend, and Luke and I have been dating for two months now.

I just don't know how she'd react to it. I really really hope she doesn't get upset with me, that is the literal last thing we need.

I plan on telling her when she's settled in here.

I sigh, getting up out of bed and running a hand through my now short and unruly hair. I walk into the bathroom and brush my teeth, before putting my wet tooth brush next to Luke's.

I grab my phone and rub my eyes as I walk down the stairs of the loft and into the kitchen where Luke is pouring coffee into two mugs.

I smile and thank him when he hands me mine, before taking a sip of the hot liquid.

"Thank you," I hum, way too content, I love how Luke makes coffee, "I don't know what I'm going to do without you making me coffee every morning."

"Cat literally works in a coffee shop, I'm sure she'll make you a good cup," he laughs as he drinks his own.

"She hates coffee, which is ironic, but I hope she does," I sigh, "I can't make coffee, it always turns out bad."

"I don't get how," he says, leaning against the counter, crossing one of his arms over his bare chest and leaning his other arm on it as he brings the mug to his lips, "It's not rocket science."

I pout, before turning on my heel and going to walk away.

I hear his mug hit the counter and his arm wrap around my waist, pulling me into his chest.

"Oi!" I laugh as he lifts me up, and puts me on the counter.

He smiles cheekily at me, before leaning in and connecting our lips.

He smiles into the kiss, which I secretly freaking love. He does it a lot, and it makes my heart flip.

"Oh," I say, before pulling away and pecking his lips again, "I forgot to ask."

"What?" He says in between kisses.

"There's a wedding tonight," I say, actually pulling away now and running my hands through his hair, "It's a friend of moms daughter, and I was invited and had a plus one. But I forgot about it. Do you want to go?"

He laughs lightly, mostly because I forget about everything and nods, "Yeah, I'll go. What time is at?"

"The wedding starts at 3." I smile innocently.

"Grace," he groans, "It's one now."

"I forgot!" I laugh.

He shakes his head, letting out an amused smile.

"I have to go home and get ready then," he sighs, kissing my lips once again, "You're lucky I have a suit there."

"You're the best," I grin, and he laughs as he walking up stairs. I watch him as he walks into my room and smile to myself, taking a sip off my coffee.

*

When there's a knock at my door I smile to myself as I straighten out my blue lace that is covering my body.

I look at myself in the mirror one last time, admiring the blue lace that is covering my arms and chest and the dress itself.

I walk downstairs, trying not to fall over my black heels, and open the door to find an extremely attractive Luke.

His hair is neatly tousled on his forehead, and a black suit with a blue tie that matches my dress on his tall, broad body.

"Wow," Luke says, not hiding his wandering eyes, "You look beautiful Grace."

"Thanks," I blush, before looking down at my hands. I reach behind the door and grab my bag, before ushering him out the door, "Come on, we got to get to my parents place."

He nods, smiling down at me and gripping onto my hand.

We walk down the hall of the building and to the elevator and taking that down to the lobby of my building.

The ride to my parents house is mainly quiet, just a bit of side chatter.

I smile over to Luke, and he looks back at me with a questionable look, "What?"

"Thanks for doing this, Luke," I say, "I'm sorry I forgot to tell you about it."

"Grace, it's fine," he laughs lightly, taking my hand and rubbing his thumb over it, "I don't mind."

We pull up to the house and walk inside, "Mom, dad?!"

I hear the paddling of my mother's footsteps before she emerges into the room with a nice pink dress on.

"Oh, how lovely," she grips her hands together, "Luke, you look very handsome."

"Thank you," he smiles brightly while I shake my head.

"Thanks mom, you look nice too," I joke and she laughs lightly, coming over and pulling me into her side.

"You look very pretty too Grace," she says, rubbing my arm, "But just, look at how nice he looks."

"Mom!" I say as Luke laughs loudly, his hand covering his stomach.

She shakes her head and laughs at herself, before my dad walks in and asks if we're ready.

We all nod, Luke and I following behind them in Lukes car so that if we want to leave early, we can.

The drive to the church is short, and Luke and I walk in hand in hand, making our way to a random pew with my parents on the other side of me.

My parents start talking to my moms friends that are sat behind us, and Luke puts his arm around me, causing me to lean into him and smile peacefully.

Soon, the ceremony starts and we all stand up as the brides maids walk down in baby blue dresses, all smiling widely.

The bride, who I have honestly only met a few times, walks down the isle and looks so breathtakingly beautiful.

Her white dress follows her as she walks, and her blonde hair falls down her back. She grins as she stares at the person she's going to spend the rest of her life with.

The ceremony continues, Luke's hand never really leaving me. If it was on my waist, shoulder, or holding my own hand, it was always there.

Once the ceremony was done we all went outside and watched the bride take some pictures and conversed with a few of my moms friends before we were all ushered to the dinning hall where the reception would be held.

The drive there was mainly silent, Luke called the bride hot and I agreed.

When we get to the hall, we go and find the little card that says what our table number is.

Grace Macs & plus one

I let out a snort, "Come on, plus one, let's go sit down."

He rolls his eyes and pulls me into his side again, pressing his lips to the top of my head.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?"

I feel Luke tense up immediately at the familiar voice. My heart drops and I feel my face pale.

Luke drops his arm from me as we both turn around slowly, seeing a very mature, and quite thin, Ronnie standing before us with a prominent smirk on her face.

"Ronnie!" I somewhat fake enthusiasm, "What are you doing here?"

"Lexi is an old friend of mine," she says referring to the bride, before going right back to what was originally asked, "So what's going on here?"

I look up to Luke, who looks like he has seen a ghost. I don't blame him, Ronnie is giving off this vibe that I'm not too sure about. I feel like I'm talking to the Ronnie I met that night in jail who was completely bitchy, and I'm not sure I like it.

"Oh, uh-" I clear my throat, "Luke and I we uh- you know, he's my plus one."

I mentally face palm myself, but this situation is so freaking awkward. Especially since Luke was basically in love with her senior year. Maybe that's why he's so quiet, she does look really good....

"So I'm guessing you two are a thing?" She says, crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow at us, her smirk still there.

"Yeah," Luke clears his throat, finally saying something, "We're a thing. As thingy as a thing can be. You know, a thing."

Oh god.

"And what about Michael?" She says, and I almost want to punch her in the face. Obviously, if I am with Luke, Michael and I would have broken up. Why is she trying to make this so uncomfortable?

"We broke up months back," I nod, wanting nothing than to just walk away from this.

"Oh well, I'll let you two get back to doing whatever you do," she laughs at herself, "Have fun."

With that, she walks away and Luke lets out a deep breath, "That was so weird."

I turn to him, hitting his arm before whispering harshly, "'As thingy as a thing can be', really?!"

"Hey, you were no better!" He protests in a harsh whisper, "Plus one, my ass!"

"Okay," I let out a small laugh, "Obviously we aren't very good a social confrontation, but that was just-oh my god."

I put my head in my hands on how uncomfortable and embarrassed I feel. Sure, I would of loved to come out to my friends on how Luke and I are a couple. But we were both totally blind sided by that, and Ronnie didn't even seem like the Ronnie we knew.

She seemed cold and rude, and I know that's not how she is.

That was the first time I've seen her since she moved to LA  a little over a year ago, and I was hoping that when I saw her again it wouldn't be like that, it would be filled with hugs and reminiscing of old memories.

"It's alright," Luke says, pulling me into a hug, "We're just two very awkward people. Hopefully that will be the last of the social encounters we have tonight."

I laugh lightly, looking over Lukes shoulder to see Ronnie staring at us with a neutral facial expression.

I close my eyes, hugging onto him tighter, "I really freaking hope so."
