"It's not what it looks like.." Matty said desperately, getting up.
Charlie backed out of the room, a bit confused but mostly shocked.
"Charlie, wait," Matty said, walking forward to grab onto Charlie whilst Funny just looked on, not knowing what to do or say.
"Don't you fucking come near me, asshole," he warned, making sure no contact was made between them. Matty looked hurt, deciding to just stay back.
"I swear to god, what you saw was nothing," Matty defended, still trying to lie. He didn't want Charlie of all people to know that he and Funny were kissing. No way. Charlie was cool and tolerant of stuff like that, but he knew his best friend wouldn't want anyone else in the band dating. And shit... Matty didn't even know if Funny really liked him or not. The only time they ever kissed was when he was high. Which is mostly always. This is so messed up.
"Yeah, sure," Charlie mocked, slowly calming down, "you just 'kiss' your friends, do ya? And you, fuck face, what you gonna say for yourself?" Charlie asked, glancing over to look at Funny.
Funny shrugged, looking at Matty before answering, "We were just hanging out, man. Want some weed?" he asked, holding the bag up.
"You really think I want some weed right now?! Fuck you two. I'm just gonna pretend I never saw this. It didn't happen," Charlie stated, re-adjusting his cap and turning around and walking out, slamming the door behind him. He'd only made it to the stairs when he was suddenly stopped, Matty appearing in front of him, holding his arms out beside him. "Get out of my way or I'll push you down the stairs."
"You wouldn't do that," Matty said, sure of his words. Charlie loved him. No way.
"Wanna bet?" Charlie threatened, trying to push his friend to the side but it just wasn't happening. "Please, Matty. I said I wasn't going to say anything."
Matty sighed, feeling defeated all of a sudden. He knew if Charlie ever found out he'd react bad, but not this bad. "Can we talk somewhere? Hear me out, man. I'll tell you the truth, I swear."
Charlie thought about it for a moment before shrugging, "Sure. Let's go to the bathroom and lock it."
Matty raised his eyebrows at that. "Bathroom?"
Charlie caught on, knowing what Matty was insinuating, "You wish!" He laughed, dragging Matty into the bathroom which was surprisingly not occupied. He shut the door behind them and saw Matty get down on his knees, making a pass for Charlie's trousers, then suddenly burst out laughing at the expression on Charlie's face.
"I was just messing. I know you love Johnny," Matty said in between laughs, getting up and patting his friends shoulder. "So, about me and funny. One night, we were out. You and the other guys were staying at the tour bus. And we just, you know.. kissed."
Charlie raised his eyebrows. Nah. There had to be more to the story then that! "That's it?"
"Not exactly. We kissed in a nightclub when we were both drunk. But then we did it again the night after. And again..,"
"Yeah, I get you," Charlie cut in, before coming to a sudden realization. "So that's why you two aren't around a lot with us."
"Yeah.. um, we don't really like each-other or anything."
"You don't?"
"Okay. Well I kinda like him, but Funny isn't really interested much," Matty said a bit sadly.
"If he's been kissing you dude, he likes you. I wouldn't put my mouth on another man if I didn't like him, you get what I mean?"
Matty nodded, feeling a bit more hopeful. Charlie always had been able to be the only person to make him feel better. "Yeah, yeah. Thanks."
"No worries. I won't tell the others, and I won't speak of it again. I promise," he smiled.
"Thanks. Um," Matty bought a hand up to the back of his neck awkwardly before asking, "You've never liked me before, have you?"
Charlie was surprised by the question, trying to hold in a laugh, "Liked you? You fucking kidding! I hate you!"
"Be serious."
Charlie sighed. If he wanted the truth, he'd get it. "Honestly? I've always thought you were a good looking guy, but nah. I've always loved Johnny," he admitted, thinking of the bastard who was still downstairs having a good time. "Why?"
Matty shook his head quickly, "Doesn't matter."
"Sure it does. Come on," Charlie urged, wanting to know more.
"I just.." the door knocked, and both men looked towards it. It was some girl's voice asking to use it.
"It was nice talking to you, Matty," Charlie said, suddenly forgetting what his friend was going to say. He opened the door and pushed past some bitch, not even saying hi or anything. He turned back to look at Matty before giving him a salute and heading downstairs.
Okay, so far the party had been crazy. He didn't know what to think. When he walked in that room, he nearly died. He couldn't believe it. Matty and Funny. No way. That's what he thought. But now, it wouldn't be so bad if anything ever happened between them. He didn't want Matty to get hurt though. Funny was his friend, but Matty was his best friend and if anyone ever intentionally hurt him he would be pissed. It's not exactly like Funny was the most loyal person in the world. Matty deserved someone nice. He let those thoughts go though as he spotted Johnny and tried to put on a smile as he walked over to him.

As soon as Charlie left, Matty had felt a pang of sadness. He got chucked out of his own fucking bathroom because some girl needed to re freshen her makeup or something. Well, whatever. He stood for a moment, thinking about Charlie. What he was going to say to him.
But Funny..
He decided to go back inside the bedroom, his eyes going straight to Funny who was laying down on the bed, his eyes staring up at the ceiling. "I'm sorry," he said dully.
"What do you mean?" Matty asked, not understanding. His back his the door as he leaned against it.
"I'm sorry I can't be what you want me to be."
"What? I don't want you to be anything, Dylan."
Dylan. He'd never called Funny Dylan in a long time. Shit's weird right now.
"I can never be him, dude. I'm not even fucking gay," Funny said, suddenly sitting up and staring straight at Matty who looked like he wanted to die right now.
"So you was just messing with me?" Matty suddenly got angry. How could he do this to him? Use him like he was nothing? How?
"I wasn't messing with you. I like kissing you, but nothing can ever come of this," Funny admitted, stuffing his bag full of weed in his hoody pocket, for use later on. Not seemingly caring at all.
"Why would you do this to me?" Matty asked, walking forward.
"Do what?"
"WHY?" Matty grabbed onto Funny, pulling him up off the bed and just holding him there. Funny didn't even try to get away, just stared straight at him. Emotionless.
"Answer me, bastard."
It was then Funny pushed Matty off him, "I'm sorry, okay! I'm so sorry. I just needed someone. You know how lonely I've been this past couple months? Even with the guys everyday I still feel like shit. You were just, you were there."
Matty listened carefully, letting the words process. His anger had suddenly gone away. He understood now. He'd felt the same. "Oh."
"Yeah.. look, I like you and stuff, but it seems like your feelings are getting in the way. So it's best if we stopped this now."
Matty nodded, agreeing because he didn't know fucking why. He actually felt something for Funny, but he didn't know what. Well, I guess he'll never know. "Me too."
Funny went in for a hug, his arms wrapping around Matty, holding him close to his body. "Love you, man."
Matty felt like the pain he felt would never go away.

"Wanna get out of here?" Charlie asked as soon as he approached Johnny.
"I mean sure, if you want to?" Johnny said, a huge smile on his face.
Charlie nodded, never being so certain of something, "Yeah, I do. Just wanna get into bed with you."
Johnny raised his eyebrows, now grinning, "Good idea! Hey, let me say goodbye to the guys."
Shit. No. He can't. "Nah, let's just go." Charlie said, his hand going to Johnny's arm, sliding it down extra slow.
"It's probably best if I do.." Johnny said, a bit sceptical now, glancing at Charlie's hand, trying to push away what he was feeling right now. Charlie was such a tease.
"Fuck me, I mean, fuck," Charlie said, knowing exactly what he was doing and saying. "Fuck, I meant."
"Huh?"
Charlie rolled his eyes, "You're such an idiot. Give me a ride?"
"A ride?"
"A piggy back ride outta here, asshole!" Charlie said, laughing to himself about what he was doing. Word play. He loved it. Plus it got Johnny to forget about saying bye to Funny and Matty.
"Go for it," Johnny said as Charlie wrapped his legs around Johnny's waist, his arms going around his neck. "I thought you said piggy back ride? Your dick is next to mine, dude."
"Exactly, come on. Let's go. I cant wait."
Johnny laughed, kissing Charlie on the lips, who surprisingly kissed back and didn't even look around afterwards to see if anyone else saw. Wow. Charlie really was progressing in the relationship. He hoped it would continue.
Johnny carried Charlie out, excitement between them both. Matty and Funny were just a memory now.
