Bom pressed the number 4 as she stepped into the elevator of her apartment. She looked down at the white envelope she was clutching.
'To Park Bom' it read. In place of the sender's name, the words 'Jeonseung High School' were printed.
She looked at the name and sighed. That was the school she had attended Eight years ago. It has been eight years since she saw all her friends. After graduation they all had went their own separate ways and eventually lost all contact.
The elevator stopped at her floor and soon she was in her cozy three room apartment.She was living comfortably with enough money and with good people around her. She lived alone and she was fine with that.
Her life after graduating from high school wasn't all that exciting.
After graduation, she majored in design and was now working for a fashion firm. She moved out as soon as she was in her Junior year in University.
She was receiving a good salary and there was nothing to complain about. Other than an occasional visit to her parent's house she had a very quiet and simple life and she was more than okay with it. She didn't really think much about her school friends or the events that happened in High School.
But now, she couldn't help but get curious about the lives of her old friends.
"What is Dara doing?" she asked herself as she washed her face "What are Chaerin, Minzy, Seungri, Daesung, Jiyong, Seunghyun.... Doing?" She tried to remember the names of her other classmates but she just couldn't remember.
After she washed herself and changed into comfortable clothes, she tore open the envelope.
She read the following lines aloud.
Dear Park Bom,
This letter is to invite you to the reunion of batch of 2005.
The Reunion will be held at Jeonseung High, on 18th January from 8:00 AM.
We hope you shall be able to attend.

That was it. Just a simple you are invited to attend the reunion. It took some time for the word 'Reunion' to register in her mind. So there was a reunion. After nearly a decade, she will get to see her classmates.
"January 18" she whispered to herself "That is about 2 months away"
She laid down on her bed and sighed. She looked around her room. It was a very cozy room. A queen sized bed with with a spring mattress with Baby Pink covers and a Baby Pink comforter to match. Her room was painted a light lavender. There was a small bedside table and a pretty night lamp beside her bed. There was a medium sized closet with a mirror and a laundry basket outside the bathroom door.
She slowly closed her eyes and remembered a night like this in a room like this Eleven years before.
* It was the night before her first day in her new high school. She was to be a freshman in Jeonseung High School, which was supposedly a prestigious high school.
It was 11:00 in the night and Bom couldn't sleep. She twisted and turned in her bed but there was this feeling in the pit of her stomach which didn't let her sleep. She was really nervous about her firs day of school.
Her family had just moved to Seoul from Daegu and she was enrolled in Jeonseung High.
She decided that she couldn't sleep anymore and threw on a loose hoodie and skinny jeans and headed outside her house. She knew it was dangerous but she went anyway. She creeped very quietly and was soon out of her house.
She simply kept walking down the lane until she came across a house from which came a lot of noises.
"YOU DONT CARE ABOUT ME! ALL YOU WANT IS MONEY! HOW MANY MEN ARE YOU GOING TO TRY AND DATE HUH? DO YOU HAVE ANY PRIDE AT ALL?" Bom heard a voice.
This was followed by a smack which Bom assumed as a slap. Suddenly, the door opened and a slender girl with chocolate brown wavy hair till her waist was pushed to the ground.
"Come back when you know how to behave" A cold voice which belonged to a woman of around 45 spoke. Bom assumed her to be the girl's mother.
"I might as well find another place to live" said the girl and came out of her compound when the woman slammed the door.
Hiding in the shadows, Bom watched the girl's face in the light from the street lamps. She had a beautiful face and across her cheeks was a hand mark like she had been slapped. Bom noticed that she was limping.
Suddenly, the girl fell down and cursed, clutching her knee. Bom rushed towards her to help. The girl seemed taken aback by Bom's sudden appearance but smiled at her warmly.
"You're okay?" asked Bom
"Yeah, I'm alright" said the girl, heaving herself from the ground by taking Bom's outstretched hand.
"Um... If you don't mind, can I say something?" asked Bom, timidly. The girl nodded.
"My house has another small quarters behind it which is not used by anyone right now. It's dangerous for you to stay outside now. You can stay there for the night and I'll get you a couple of blankets to keep yourself warm" said Bom.
The girl just blankly looked at her.
"I didn't mean to eavesdrop. I just happened to hear and just wanted to be of help" said Bom.
"I don't want to trouble you" said the girl.
"No it's alright. I want to help" smiled Bom "I'm Park Bom by the way" she said.
The girl smiled widely "I'm Sandara Park. You can call me Dara" *
And that's where the most exciting part of her life began.
