Jake's P.O.V
I waited outside impatiently next to my dad who looked much calmer and relaxed then I did. We were waiting for this other pack to arrive who are apparently in the same position as us. I didn't really care who they were or why they were here, I only cared about how they could help me find Autumn.
"Jake," My father spoke to me just as three cars came into view at the end of the road. "Please, be on your best behaviour. I know your in a rough situation but these people have been through this for two years now, don't go ruining our chances of finding them." He warned and I rolled my eyes.
He stepped down the steps and I followed behind him with Connor and Ellis behind me. I've given them a hard time these past few days, Ellis the most. Even her friends had the decency to feel bad. Four people got out of the first car, two got out of the second and three got out of the third.
"Richard, it's nice too meet you in person." A guy around my dads age said holding his out.
"Likewise." My dad shook his hand. "Clive, this is my son who I mentioned over the phone, Jake."
"I'm sorry to here about your mate." He said shaking my hand. I gave him a nod and kept my mouth shut otherwise I'd end up ruining our chances. "This is my wife and son, we've been searching for our daughter for the past two years."
"Lets hope, together, we can find them." My dad said and then gestured to go inside. "Shall we?"
"Of course." Everyone started making their way up as my dad lead them into the meeting room.
It was fair to say, they didn't have any useful information what so ever. We had more then they did. I stomped out of the room and into my dads office across the hall.
We were getting no where and it was frustrating. I couldn't feel her, sense her, nothing. The phone rang and normally, I wouldn't answer my dads calls but given that it could be to do with my mate then I didn't hesitate.
"Hello?"
"Ah, Jake yes?"
"Who is this?"
"Greg, you came and visited my pack today? Well, I have news. We have three wolfs that crossed into our land about an hour after you left. Two females and a male, I will warn you, they are not in their best condition but alive nonetheless." He said.
"Do you know their names?" I asked hopefully.
"No, one of the females has been badly wounded and is currently being treated while the other two are being checked out by the doctor. I believe they are linked to your situation."
"I'll be there soon." I hung up.
"We need to contact more-"
"I have new information." I said interrupting the conversation still going on in the meeting room. "Greg has found three wolfs and he believes that they could be the ones we are looking, he thinks it could be Autumn, or even Lucy. Two females and one male, they're in bad condition but he's expecting us."
"Connor, get everyone ready. We'll be taking two cars of our own plus Clive's."
Autumn's P.O.V
"One, Two," I took in a deep breath as Ivan countered out loud. "Three!" I kicked both of my feet outwards towards the doors causing a loud bang. Now if that didn't get there attention, I don't know what would. I kicked again and again only making a huge dent until finally, the hinges came loose and the door fell off, now hanging by one hinge.
"What the hell is going on?!" We heard Dean yell from the front of the van.
"Quickly, come on!" Ivan said pushing me out of the van first. I landed on my wrist awkwardly as I rolled on my side. I saw Lucy next and then Ivan, Lucy yelled out in pain when she twisted over on her ankle.
I ran to her at the same time as Ivan, we both took one of her arms and helped her up as we ran to the woods.
"You ok?" I asked her and she nodded through tears and gritted teeth.
"Lets just get out of here." She said trying to run on what is most likely a broken leg.
We heard the van squealing to a stop before Dean started barking out orders.
"We need to hurry." Ivan said glancing behind us.
"We're not going to make it much farther." Lucy said. "We're going to have to stop and try to fight them off." She was right, still having wolfs bane and sliver in our system we were slow but now having Lucy with a broken leg slowed us down even more.
"Autumn and I will fight. You won't be much help." Ivan said sitting her down by a tree. What I didn't tell him was I wouldn't be much help either. He pulled a hand size gun from his pocket and handed it to her. "Shoot them, it won't kill them, should only knock them out. Autumn, do you have the knife?" I nodded, my hand going to the waist band of my jeans where the handling was against my waist. "Good." Thank god those losers left the weapons in the back with us.
We heard the snapping of branches and footsteps approaching us. I swallowed nervously as Ivan stood and faced forward as well. A second later, the two humans who had moved us this morning stepped through the trees.
They glared at us and ran towards us. One went for Ivan while the other one went for me. He lunged with his arms wide open to grab me, I yelled in panic and dodged him out of sheer fear. He turned back and grabbed me by my hair.
I should have taken karate or something.
"You little bitch." He snarled in my ear and yanking on my hair. I grabbed the knife from my jeans and stabbed. I must have hit him cause he let go of my hair and growled in pain. I heard a shot and looked over to Lucy who had missed the guy Ivan was fighting. "Just a scratch."
I turned back to my guy and saw the cut I'd made along his side, nothing serious but enough to draw a fair bit of blood. Another shot made me jump and I, stupidly, looked over to where Ivan's guy was now on the floor.
My moment of distraction was all it took, the guy grabbed me by my shirt and threw me against a tree. I heard the harsh crack of my head hitting the tree causing me to go dizzy.
"You lose." I heard him whisper as he held my hands above my head before a sharp, hot pain went through my stomach.
"Not today she doesn't." I barely heard Ivan say before another shot rang out before his cry of pain. His hold of me was released and my hands fell to my stomach where I felt something against my skin, I looked down at my hands and saw them covered in blood before noticing the knife. I pulled it out, yelling in pain and threw it away.
"Autumn!" Lucy crawled out to me as I slid down the tree. "Oh god." She cried pulling off her jumper and pressing it where my wound was.
"It was sliver." I said, my voice sounding weak.
"You're going to be ok." She said.
"We need to keep going." Ivan said picking me up bridal style. "Lucy are you ok to walk?" He asked.
"I'm fine, don't worry about me."
"Dean?" I asked in a whisper.
"Must have fled." I nodded before everything else became a blur.
Jake's P.O.V
"Where are they?" I asked Greg and he turned and waved for us to follow him.
"We've spoken to the guy. He told us he was kidnapped about a year and a half ago. He's from a pack not too far from here either. We've contacted them as well, they arrived moments before you." He told us as he led us into hospital room were other people were waiting. "If you could wait here until the doctor is through with them." He nodded and left.
I looked around the room to find four other people, a middle aged man and woman, a younger woman crying in the corner being comforted by another middle aged man.
"Did you lose someone too?" The crying red headed woman, who looked no older than 20, asked.
"My mate." I answered back sitting opposite her.
"Mine too." She whispered and smiled. "I haven't seen him in a year and eight months." She cried again.
"I'm sorry." I said too her and she looked up and smiled.
"How long have you missed yours?"
"Only two weeks, I couldn't imagine going a year though." I swallowed. God I hope Autumn is here.
"I'm glad you didn't have too."
"Megan." Greg called her forwards. "He wants to see you."
Autumn's P.O.V
I woke up to the sound of papers being turned. I moved my head and felt a slight pain in the back of my head.
"You ought to be careful of that." I heard a deep voice. I look up and saw an guy with greying black hair standing over me with a clipboard. "You had a pretty nasty bang there."
"Feels like it." I muttered and tried to sit up but yet again was force to stay where I was from a shooting pain only through my stomach this time.
"Ah yes. We've had to give you a few stitches due to you not being able to fully heal yet. The good news is though is that the wolfs bane is nearly gone from your system. In about an hour your wolf should be able to take over the healing progress. You managed to pull the knife out before the sliver could do too much damage but it will cause scarring."
"What about Lucy and Ivan?" I asked.
"They are fine. Fully Healthy. We were able to flush the poison out of their system quicker since they weren't the ones losing a lot of blood. Their wolf's have healed the most of them." He smiled and I nodded.
"Can I see them?" I asked and he nodded.
"Of course." He chuckled and drew back the curtain.
"Morning!" Lucy chirped sitting on the bed opposite me. "Actually it's like 3 o'clock now." She grinned, pushing herself off the bed and walking over to stand next to me. "We made it Autumn!"
"I know." I grinned. "How's your leg?"
"Fantastic. I haven't felt this good in years!" She said excited. "I can't wait to see my parents and brother."
"I know how you feel." Ivan said joining her at my side. "How are you?"
"Annoyed that I can't move for about another hour. You?" He chuckled.
"Great." He smiled but then got serious. "Dean got away, there's no saying he won't come back." He said in a lower tone.
"What are we going to do then?" I asked.
"I think we should stick together. No splitting up, it'll only make it easier for him to re-catch us and it won't be as pleasant this time." Lucy and I nodded. "I heard the Alpha has called some people from our packs to let them know we're safe."
"Really?" Lucy asked excited again.
"Yeah, they'll want us to go back home but we can't. We can't risk it. I'm thinking we stay with Autumn." He said looking at me.
"Why me?"
"Your mate is part of the most well trained pack out here. We stand a better chance there, plus, your mate isn't about to let you go. I have a mate and after this, I'm never leaving her side."
"Yeah that's true." Lucy agreed.
"But first, we need to get you showered." Ivan told me and I gave him a flat look. After he mentioned it though, I did notice that I was covered in dirt and filth still where as Ivan and Lucy looked fresh and clean, Lucy's hair was shining bright blonde now and Ivan just seemed less grumpy.
"Ugh, I do." I moaned and they laughed.
Half an hour later and the pain wasn't as bad, meaning, I could go and shower. It felt like heaven, I must have spent longer then I needed to in there. After putting on fresh clothes and towel drying my hair, I felt clean and fresh. There was a nasty scar on my stomach but hey, it could have been much worse.
"You smell better." Ivan commented when I re-joined them.
"Haha." I said sarcastically.
"Where's Lucy?" I asked and he pointed to closed curtains just as she answered.
"Here!"
"Doctor's doing one final test on us." I nodded.
The test took no longer then ten minutes and once we were done, the Alpha of the pack we stumbled upon joined us.
"I'm glad to see you all up and healthy." He smiled.
"Thanks, thank you for all you've done for us." Lucy answered smiling.
"Of course." he shook his head. "There are visitor's for you."
"Megan?" Ivan asked standing up from where he sat. Greg smiled and just left. "Dude's weird." He mumbled just as girl no taller then me with short red hair came barrelling through the door and into Ivan.
Lucy and I moved back and sat on the bed opposite to give them some privacy.
Not long after his parents came through, followed by Lucy's parents.
"Mum!" She shouted meeting her half way across the room. The reunions were emotional and I suddenly felt jealous and lonely. I wish I had my parents here.
"Autumn." I looked up at my name and saw Alpha Richard stood there smiling. I was disappointed when I didn't see Jake. I walked over to him and he led me out the room. "I'm glad to see you're doing well." He said, patting me on the shoulder and left me in a different room.
"Mmm, thanks." I called after him. I turned around to take in the new room which was a bit brighter then the other room and saw Jake stood at the other end. I rolled in my lips to stop me from grinning like a silly school girl.
"Autumn, I'm sorry, I didn't-" He started but I ignored whatever he was saying and just threw my arms around his neck and kissed him like my life depended on it.
