I stayed in Liam's room for the whole day. We talked. But most of the time I sat in his arms while he held me tightly. As if I would disappear if he let go.
He told me about himself.
"My dads in the army. I don't get to see him often. He's human and taught me lots of fighting techniques. It was kind of handy because I used human tactics on wolves. And they didn't expect it or know how to defend it. I don't see my dad much any more. He's always off travelling the globe to do army stuff. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss him. He was my everything. He came to my sports games every weekend.
Now my mum. Well, she's hard. I loved my dad maybe a smidgen more. Maybe because I treasured the time we spent together. I could hang out with my mum anytime. I wasn't a mamas boy. My mum read me story's each night. My favourite was Peter Pan. She would complain about reading it all the time! Her smile would light up anyone's day. She worked hard and always kept her promises. She died a couple of years ago. So about you", he says staring at the floor.
"I'm sorry".
"Don't be. It's fine I'm over it now", he sighed.
"But still".
"Your parents"?
"I never spent time with my parents. Well maybe I did but I don't remember. I ran away when I was six. My parents abused me. I think. It was around 12 years ago so I barely remember their faces. I wouldn't recognise them if I tripped over them. My brother got sent to an orphanage after that. I can't help feeling it's my fault. He's dead now. It's all a blur. After that, I found my FAKE mate. He rejected me after I lied about being a wolf. Then I ran. I've been rouge ever since. Well until now", I say.
He laughs.
"What"?
"I'm pretty sure most people already know of your past".
I smile and chuckle along with him.
"True"!
Liam went and got some lunch, while I got my laptop.
He came back with tons of food.
Consisting of sandwiches, fruits, chips and some lemonade.
I took a sandwich and bit into it.
"This is good"!
It was.
I'm not completely sure what was in it but it was delicious. I logged onto my computer and checked my emails.
"You tried to stop me from going to the river didn't you"?
"Yeah. You gave me a heart attack"!
"Sorry! I can be kind of stubborn can't I"?
"Oh yes! But that's why I love you".
"You love me"?
"Of course I do".
"Well. In that case. I love you too".
"Good", he smirked.
"Cause I wasn't going to take no for an answer.
"Oh is that right"?
"You got it love".
I laughed.
"Come on. We have to get out and do something".
"Why's that"?
"I can't do nothing all day"!
He pinned me on the bed.
I smiled up at him.
"And why not"?
"I. Don't. Know", I breathed.
He kissed me deeply pushing me into the bed. We lay side by side and eventually I fell asleep.
