Chapter 32

Bellas p.o.v.
"I suppose I should start from the beginning-" Nyx began.
"You can't be my mother! My mother died in a car crash nearly 9 years ago!" I screamed. This is so wrong! "My mother was Anna Beauchamp!"
"Listen. There is a lot you have left to learn." Nyx stated calmly. She waved her right arm over one of the white walls and moving images appeard..but it didn't look like a video, more like a memory.
"Nearly 21 years ago I was blessed with a child...a gift from The Greats." Nyx began. I lightly set myself down on the pure white puffy type thing behind me and watched Nyx's memories play out infront of me on the huge white wall.
"I loved her like nothing else. She was my everything. But problems soon arose. My child was different...special. The Greats didn't give me a child from the kindness of their hearts...no. My child was created to defeat a certain evil...to finish a never ending war..." She trailed off.
"So am I this child you keep refering to?" I ask.
"Yes. You are my one and only daughter, whom I love whole heartedly"
"But..what about Anna Beauchamp?" Then it dawned on me "Jayden..."
"Ah yes..this is going to be hard for you...and diffucult to understand." She began again, taking a seat on the sofa behind her to match the puffy that I'm sitting on "You were born with DNA from both mine and my sisters creations" Nyx stated "you were born with both Lycan and Vanpire DNA. This is why you're the only living Hybrid...well other than your protector of course"
"Who's your sister?" I asked curious as to where my family tree continues.
"Someone I had hoped you would never had to meet, but unfortunatly, it is inevitable" she paused as though mentally preparing herself for the words she is about to speak "My sister is Alectorona, Goddess of the Sun. My sister is the creator of the Vampiric race. She created these creatures in retaliation to me creating the Lycans. She envied the power I held. Every move she made was to be better than me...to overthrow my power. I'm the oldest you see, because of this I hold more power. Once my sister realised I had my own creations, she had to have her own. But she didn't just stop there. No. She couldn't just leave it at that. She couldn't just allow both of our creations live peacfully together!" She stopped, giving herself a chance to breathe and calm down. During her break I was able to put two and two together.
"Vampires and werewolves are natural enemies because of her, because of Alectrona. The reason she created them was to defeat the werewolves wasn't it?" I asked beginning to pace.
"Yes." Nyx sighed "This war has been going on for thousands of years, and the Greats have finally decided to put an end to it...unfortunately you are the one they've chosen. I wouldn't let you do it alone..never. I begged the Greats to grant you a protector...You do at least have Matt."
"What is this impending evil I'm supposed to defeat?"
"All in due time, first you need to get a hold of your powers" Nyx answered in a very riddle-y way.
"What bloody powers?"
"You didn't think I'd allow you to fight this war with a sword did you?" She laughed
"Well I'm already an impossible Hybrid." I stated
"To win this war you will need a lot more than that dear. Over time markings will begin to appear over your body...Matts too, they will each represent an different power. You and Matt will be gifted with the same powers. In your Pack there will be at least one member who will be able to help with each." Nyx told me, very serious again.
"So can anyone have these powers?" I ask.
"No..there is only a handful of people with them, the Greats have to test the powers on others before they allow you to have them, to make sure they do not cause you harm by overwhelming to your body" She explained.
"Hold on." I stated "How exactly do you know I'm your child? How come I don't have any memories of you? How can you prove to me that you are my mother?" I asked
"That's easy, come here." I walked towards the sofa Nyx is sat on, as she stood up with an indescribable amount of grace. "This may hurt a little" she warned before pressing the tips of three of her fingers -ring, middle & index - to the centre of my forehead, I stared into her eyes waiting for something to happen. Her eyes began to glow a golden colour as an excrutiating pain spread across my forehead, pulsing from the middle out, it felt like a hot iron was being pressed to my forehead. The pain soon morphed to a dull ache until it completely disapeared when Nyx removed her fingers from my forehead.
"You carry the mark of a Goddess, that there is proof I am telling the truth. Now your mark is visible, Matt's protector mark should be too. From this moment onwards your powers should begin to surface, a different mark will be presented on your body for each, Matt too" she explained.
"Will it hurt like that every time?"
"Each mark will feel different, sometimes they will burn, other times they may itch, the most just goes on - like the flame on the back of your hand, representing you can influence fire - like you did when you were with Evan"
"Ok, so now I know about all the powers and marks and stuff...explain to me about Jayden and mum-Anna Beauchamp" I asked falling back onto the puffy, already knowing this conversation is going to be a shock to the system.
"When you were just turning 2 you began to show signs of Vampirism. You where born a Lycan you see, as the Lycanthrope are my creations and you're my daughter. A Vampire / Werewolf Hybrid had never been seen before, it's almost impossible considering the two species are natural enemies. So I went to the Greats. It's then they told me your Destiny, how you were born for a reason, I demanded you have a protector and something to help you, hence the powers. From that day forward I did everything I could to prevent you from following the path the Greats had given you. I sent you down to Earth to live with Anna, she was one of the Primary Protectors of the Lycan race. She was part of the high council, one of my closest friends actually. I trusted her to protect you, and to keep you away from the Supernatural world, she fought against her own Pack to keep you sheilded." Nyx paused allowing me chance to let it sink in.
"She didn't die in a car crash did she?" I whisperd
"No" Nyx told me sitting opposite me on the sofa "she died fighting Jordan Thorn - Kyron's father, whom later died due to the injuries Anna left him. Susanne Thorn died 4 months later due to a broken heart, and the overwhelming lonliness she felt because of her Mates death"
"But why were they fighting? What could have possibly caused them to turn against each other like that?"
"When you were younger, Susanne used to take Kyron and Leana to see you when she would visit Anna, it was obvious you and Kyron were mates, even at such a young age, you just didn't know it yet. Because of this Susanne and Jordan thought it best for you to live in the pack house with them and learn about werewolves and the history of the Supernaturals. But Anna disagreed, knowing what I had asked her to do. By doing so she had challenged her Alpha - she may have been on the High Council, but she still lived by Pack rules - this is what caused the fight. " Nyx explained
"So I'm the reason she died" I stated
"No child. I'm the reason she died, if I hadn't have given her the impossible task I did, she would still be alive today"
"What about Jayden? He's not biologically my twin is he?" I asked as sadness hit me like a tidal wave...my whole life is a lie! The one constant in my life of change...isn't who I thought he was, although it's the same for him I suppose.
"You and Jayden had a bond like no other, the bond you two share is far greater than a twin bond, even a mate bond. You and Jayden are spirtually connected. You two may not be connected through blood, but you're connected in every other way you can think of. You are eachothers strength whilst being each others weakness. You may not know it, but you share emotions. You two are almost the same person. Your bond goes so deep, that if one of you were to die, so would the other."
A smile crawled on to my face as a tear slipped down my cheek. It upset me, discovering that Jayden and I aren't twins, however being spiritually connected is so much better. 'We are one'.
"We share emotions? Like Matt and I?" It was the only thing that was confusing me.
"No. You and Matt can sense each others emotions, you can be happy and feel that Matt is sad but that doesn't mean you are sad. With you and Jayden, if one is you is sad, so is the other, if one is frustrated so is the other. There is no way of knowing if it is your own emotions you are feeling or Jaydens. For example whilst you were in a coma, you felt frustrated because you could hear everyone one around you, but you couldn't quite reach them, Jayden felt frustrated because he could hear your heart beat, see you breathe but he couldn't have a conversation with you, he could see you lying there, but he couldn't get to you. No matter what the reasons you made for yourselves, you both were feeling the same emotions."
"That's not creepy..." I muttered sarcastically.
"It shows how deep your bond truly flows"
"I just have one last question" I stated
"Ask away...I have nothing to hide" Nyx...my mother I guess, reassured
"If you wanted so desperately for the Supernatural world to be hidden from me, why didn't you prevent me from becoming a Hunter?"
"Well, my way of thinking was; by becoming a Hunter you will be taught how to protect yourself from the Supernatural, whilst also learning to despise them, meaning you would never want to find a mate, or become Supernatural. You see when I sent you down to Earth I casted a spell over you to push the Hybrid in you as far back as possible causing it to become doormant. The less you willed yourself to become Supernatural the longer my spell would have lasted. However the mate bond caused my spell to deteriorate. My time with you is up my child, it is time for your to go back to the Earth relm. Remember! You are stronger than you think you are! Always believe in yourself! Goodbye Isabella!"
"Goodbye" I whispered as everything began to spin again.
