"Hey there sexy lady."

"Shit, bro! Kahit na maliit, pwedeng-pwede na!"

"Nakakagigil! Mmm!"

At nang may biglang nagsexy whistle at nagtawanan sila, I just ignored them. I mean, nasa club ako, so encountering guys like that is something I shouldn't be surprise about.

"Oh? What made you come here?" Then he made a sign to the bartender. "A glass of water with lemon please."

"Sir?"

I sighed as I know that he glared at him. "Just give me the fvcking water."

"You didn't need to do that, Spade," sabi ko na lang habang pinapanuod ang pagkataranta ng kawawang bartender.

Spade hissed. "He shouldn't have made that stupid expression."

"Well, what can you expect? We're in a club, and people always order alcoholic drinks and not just water with lemon," pagkasabi ko nun ay nilapag na ng bartender yung baso sa harapan ko. "Thank you," I told him.

"Try and talk to her and I will fvcking smash your skull."

Siniko ko agad siya. "Ano ba? Kumalma ka nga diyan! Tinatakot mo masyado eh."

Ayan, tumakbo tuloy si kuya na namumutla. Hayss...

"Beanie Girl, as long as you're with me, no one is allowed to talk to you."

He only answered me with a meaningful smirk.

I rolled my eyes. "Anyway, kamusta ang Academy?"

"Fine. Same old, same old."

Napatango ako. "What about—"

"Just tell me what I need to do, Beanie Girl." He's impatient as ever. "No stalling, just get to the point so I can start with it."

I bit my lower lip with his seriousness before I sighed again.

"Have..." simula ko. "Have you ever heard of the name 'Travis'?" Liningon ko siya as I noticed that he went still. "Spade?"

His jaw tightens. "Why?"

So he heard about them.

"I need to know everything you can get about Sylvester Theo Travis."

His face darkens. "And what more?"

I bit my lip again. This is not right, but I need to... I have to.

"And... anything about Mackenzie Ayala."

Spade drank his drink and hit it on the bar table with a loud thud in just a split second.

"Fvck it," he muttered to himself before ending the space between us and giving me a hug. "Consider it done, Beanie Girl," he muttered as he kissed my forehead. "And drink your fvcking water that has a fvcking lemon."

And with that, he stormed out of the bar — giving those guys who made nasty comments about me a straight punch in the gut.

Wow ah, I feel the love."

Bakit? Well, nangyari si love life eh.

"Thank you."

She nods. "And you already told me what happened, kung ano ang pinagusapan niyo nun. Nasagot ba ang mga tanong mo?"

"Yung iba, oo," I sipped on my tea.

"Well, nothing much pa. Ang alam ko lang, nung nagresearch ako eh ang pamilyang 'yun had once been the most powerful family in the business world. They ruled the business in just a snap and controlled almost everything that they desired."

Napakunot-noo siya. "Had? So sa nakaraan sila ang makapangyarihan." I nodded.

"Travis."

She rolled her eyes at me. "Tabis, whatever, same thing. Pero bakit nga? Bakit hindi sila 'famous' ngayon kung 'famous' sila dati?" she quoted in the air.

I looked at her curious eyes. "Because they got erased. The Travis name had become a taboo in the business world and someone erased almost all of their existence in that world."

I shook my head. "Iyan ang hindi ko alam, Abo. Katulad ng sinabi ko, almost all of their existence lang ang nabura, kaya kapag sinerch mo ang name nila, may makikita ka pang info about sa kanila. Ayun nga lang, tidbits lang. As in, unti lang talaga."

"Eh paano na 'yan ngayon? Back to zero ka na naman?"

"I thought I was," I said meaningfully and I watched how her face registered a shock expression as she finally got what I meant.

"You," bulong niya. "K-Kinausap mo siya? Humingi ka ng tulong sa kanya? Kay Spade?"

Tumango ako at bigla niyang nilapag ang baso sa mesa at inalog ako.

"Bakit mo ginawa 'yun Mao?

"Wait, paano mo alam?"

Tignan mo ang isang 'to.

I tried researching about them, and I got nothing more than the basic info, so nagclick ako ng mga link tapos nagsearch back to that time frame kung saan nangunguna pa sila. Kung ano ba ang mga kaganapan noon, you know, 'yung mga headlines thingy from the past."

"O, tapos?"

May usok pa ngang lumabas nun eh."

Nanlaki ang mga mata niya. "Holy sheet of papel!"

I sighed. "Yeah."

I bit my lip. "Meron."

"And?"

"And," tinignan ko siya. "What happened to the Travis? It has the name Ayala written all over it."

"Holy—"

"Poop? Yep, I know."

"He—"

[They know about you, Beanie Girl. Why didn't you tell me that they shut down your computer?]

Kinabahan ako bigla and my question came out as a whisper.

"'They?'"

I heard his sigh.

[Yes, they. You had crossed the Ayala line, Beanie Girl.]
