We rushed to the hospital and Jane told us that Jane had insisted on doing the dishes and she fell and fainted while washing the dishes and she has been rushed into emergency. We sat in the waiting for someone to tell us something anything, but it seems like everyone was busy. ‘Hey, are you okay? ‘I asked josh after discovering that no one is going to tell us anything soon. And as I looked at him and saw him properly, I had never seen anyone more scared and frightened in my whole life, I had never seen him like this. He had his hand wrapped up around his tummy and his fears were expressionless but tears were streaming from his eyes, he looked pale and frozen. ‘Hey don’t worry; she’s going to be ok. Nothing is going to happen to her’. I wrapped my arms around and rubbed his back gently trying to soothe and comfort him; gradually I could hear his breathing coming back to normal and see colour back to his face. ‘She’s the only family I’ve got Sal, I cannot lose her’. I took his hands and squeezed it tight. ‘You won’t, she will be ok’. He looked at me with his deep blue eyes and I saw a look in his eyes that scared me, because at that moment with just that one look, he could get me to do anything for him, even give up my life to save his mom’.

‘Sally I love you’ he said with a look in his eyes that said he means every single word he just said. ‘Look Josh, you are really stressed, you’re scared for your mom, you don’t know what you’re saying. I’ll go and get you coffee or something’. I stood up ready to leave.  ‘I mean it sally I’ve been in love with you since the first time I saw you and I was scared of that feeling, I mean hell, I didn’t even know what that feeling was, I was petrified of finding out what that feeling actually was, but I do sally, with my mind, soul, body and spirit I do. The only time I have ever been truly happy in my life and with all this mess is when I’m with you. You are my source of strength right now Sal, I love you’.  (I had dreamt once that he said those words to me, where he said he loved me, I had even written a speech in reply. But now that he actually said it I was speechless) ‘Josh you better not be messing with me right now’ he shakes his head ‘I’m not sally’.

He stands up from his seat grabs me firmly but gently from the waist and engulfs me, interlocking our tongue in a hot passionate kiss that seems to last forever. ‘Sally Williams would you do me the honour of being my girlfriend’. Out of the blue a sense of reality game over me and I realistically assessed this current event. (This is not a movie or a story, the girl just doesn’t get the guy, we cannot be together, the feeling of losing his mom just messed with his head). I laughed and giggled stupidly for about two minutes.  Disappoint reveal itself on josh’s face. ‘What did I say that’s so funny’? I laughed again ‘that you want me to be your girlfriend. You know it will never work and we can’t be together. I mean were different sides of a coin, were completely two different people. It will never, ever work out’. ‘Why? Why wouldn’t it work’ josh asked. ‘No Josh, tell me why it will work’. Josh grabbed my hands and placed it on his chest. ‘Because I love you and you love me. I mean is it want you want, I can’t believe I have to ask you twice’. I looked at him cold and annoyed ‘I can’t believe you have to ask me now like this, I mean your mom could be dying’

‘I know it’s messed up, but what if this is the only time I am able to tell you, what if this is the push I need’. I decide to go along with it (clearly this was a way to take his mind off his mom and make him feel better).  ‘Ok, if I agree to be your girlfriend there has to be rules’ (this is the sure way to bring him back to his senses. ‘What type of rules?’ he asked intrigued. ‘You are going to have to quit drinking and smoking and late nights with your friends’. He smiles ‘ok, done’ I looked at him threating (he doesn’t know what his getting himself into) ‘you have to get at least a C+ in your English exam’ what! Josh exclaimed, that’s like impossible’ I sniggered ‘so is dating me’. ‘Go on then’ he said. ‘You have to be in church consistently for four weeks; you have to stop hanging out with those your friends. They’re bad influence and you can make new friends in church’ josh looked at me. ‘It’s that it? I nodded in approval ‘that’s it’.  ‘Ok I accept you terms and conditions, but I have one of my own’ (I’m perfect common, what do I need help with) ‘and what’s that?’(He will come on with some physical thing about a makeover or something or to make myself look more like Chloe’) ‘I want you to see a psychologist about your OCD’ I looked at him furious ‘I won’t’. ‘Come on I agreed to those crazy stuff, you only have to agree to this. Fine! I said and walked out (I will do anything to have him. This was the happiest day of my life).
