Song: Breathing Slow - Formal Vandal
Max
I got two days of peace before we got a call saying that I was wanted to do an interview regarding mine and the boy's 'miraculous disappearance' into the Bremin forest. I immediately did not want to do it at all. I hate public speaking; my hands get shaky and I stutter like I'm drunk.
But this morning my Aunt Mel barged into my room while I was trying to sleep holding a large makeup kit and a wide smile. I also hate morning people.
"Max? Why are you not up yet? You've got the interview today." She said in concern setting her large bag on my desk. I groaned and blindly reached for my phone that always sat plugged in and sitting on the shelf I had that was apart of my headboard. After pressing the lock button the time flashed on my screen.
"Mel," I whined rubbing my face. "The stupid thing doesn't start until 10 why are you waking me up at 7?" I closed my eyes and recovered myself with my blanket.
"This interview is going to be broadcasted across the country. So I being the fantastically favourite Aunt I am have decided to do your hair and makeup." Aunt Mel explained while pulling my blanket away.
"You're my only Aunt." I told her only opening one eye.
"So that automatically makes me the favourite now get up. I bought you something new to wear and I'm doing your hair." Aunt Mel ordered with authority placing a bag on my desk next to the kit before she shut the door again. I stared at me roof that I had painted to look like a galaxy with pinks, purples and blues all contrasting yet blending at the same time. I had used glow in the dark paint to make white stars.
With multiple groans and the cracking of several bones I was able to stand up and reach my desk finding a strapless white simple lacy dress. Letting out a sigh I run my hand through my clean vanilla scented hair. I had showered for an hour when we first got home and I've had a shower every night since. I changed into the dress and let Mel back in whilst I mentally prepared to be plucked and prodded by her.
/////////////////////////////////////
When we pulled up to the police station felix was standing outside with his mum who was smiling at him widely and inspecting him.
"Well be inside Maxxie." Charlie told me pointing at Aunt Mel and my dad behind him who were closing the truck. I nodded and walk up to Felix.
"-We'll all be watching from the front row." Ms.Ferne was saying as I slowly got closer. "Oh Max, sweetie you look beautiful." She exclaimed after noticing me which also caused Felix to turn and smile widely at me.
"Thank you Ms.Ferne." I tell her pushing a loose curled strand of hair back behind my ear. Ms.Ferne left Felix and I with a giddy smile just as Andy, Sam and Jake walked up to us all three of them dressed up nicely.
"This is it." Andy says excitedly.
"Everyone's gonna be looking at us." Jake reminds all if us, he smiles widely at me.
"I know!" Sam agrees happily.
"Why would you say that?" I whine.
"This is our chance to tell the world-" Andy starts only to get cut off by Felix.
"We're not telling the world anything."
"We're going to be legends." Sam insists.
"No, really, I mean it. Magic has to be kept a secret." Felix tells us sternly.
"Dude, chill. This is gonna be sweet." Sam complies. I shake my head.
"Are you insane? Have you not watched any television with this kind of stuff. It's gonna be a whole room full of people and all the attention is gonna be on us-do you know how many eyes that is? And it's gonna be on the TV Nationally! How can that be sweet?" I ranted slightly as panic began to sit in for me.
"Max are you afraid of public speaking?" Felix asked more so to clarify than actually ask.
"Yes you dimwit! I can't believe I let my family talk me into this." I began pacing back in forth, flailing my hands as I continue to rant.
"Nope. I am going home. I am gonna go home, lock myself in my room with headphones on and completely avoid any and all social interaction. Yep that's what I'm gonna do. I'll see you in a year." I spoke so quickly I was panting for more air as I turned around and started walking away.
"Nope. You are doing this." Sam said catching my shoulders and turning me back around walking me back to the guys. "You'll be fine. We'll all be up there with you. You got nothing to worry about. Okay?" Sam said comfortingly Andy, Felix and jake smiled and nodded along agreeing with what he said. I took a deep breath.
"Nope." I say popping the 'p' as I slip out of Sam's grip and maneuver my way around the guys. Jakes the one to catch me. With both hands on my shoulders Jake makes me look at him.
"We'll be right there with you and if you don't want to answer a question will step in okay? If you don't want to you won't have to say a word. I promise M." Jake reassured me in a soft voice. I let out a long sigh but nodded anyways He lets his left hand hand drop but keeps the other on my shoulder.
"Let's do this then!" Sam said excitedly. Leading the way, Andy and Felix both following him.
"It's gonna be fine M, just remember to breathe."
"I'm asthmatic. My body forgets how to breathe whenever I run." I tell him worriedly, he chuckles and let's his right hand slide down my arm and clasp my hand.
"You look really nice M." He tells me with a grin and a slight tint in his cheeks. I can't help but smile as I nudge his side, calming down slowly.
"Thank you. Not to bad yourself J," I tell him smoother than I thought I could've at the time before the two of us walk inside the building hand in hand.
/////////////////////
I was right.
Everyone was talking at once and taking notes on us even though none of us were actually answering the questions being shot at us like bullets. The video cameras had bright lights on them and there was occasionally a flash from a regular camera as well. I hated it. My dad, Charlie and Mel were standing at the back of the room leaning into each other to speak.
"One at a time! Please." I almost got up and hugged the cop named Roberts as he said this instantly calming the reporters down.
"Andy, is there anything you want to say to the people who searched for you?" The reporter named Michelle Keats asked. She was the reporter for the channel dad sometimes watched.
"Wormholes, alternate universes- They all exist." Andy began, my face scrunched slightly in confusion. I thought Felix had said it all needed to be kept a secret and frankly I agree with him. I let out a breath as I unclenched and clenched my fists.
"What he means is, um... Thank you to everyone who didn't give up on us. We wouldn't be here without you." Felix corrected Andy stiffly. Some of the reporters smiled at that.
"But how did you survive? Jake, what did you eat?" Michelle Keats interrogated.
"Um, we ate-What did we eat?" Jake began in an unsure tone. He looked down the row with wide eyes. Jake sat closer to the microphone in front of him causing it to squeal. "We found, ah, berries? And uh M- Max had these granola bars and ah we ate Andy's pawpaw ointment." Jake finished causing the room to chuckle. I rubbed my forehead and stared at the microphone in front of me hoping I wouldn't have to use it.
"It was thinking of my girlfriend, Mia, that got me through. I was pretty scared, but I couldn't give up." Sam said sweetly in a way that kind made me cringe at how gushy it was.
"How do you boys and Max of course explain the fact you have no symptoms of dehydration or exposure?" Another reporter asked.
"It all comes down to trans dimensional quantum physics." Andy said.
"No, it doesn't." Felix stopped him.
"Yes, it does." Andy muttered bitterly, sighed and closed my eyes for a second.
"You survived in the forest because... physics?" The reporter asked confused.
"We survived because we stuck together. We didn't go off on our own." Felix said. I felt slightly dizzy and out of breath so I rested my head on my hand and tried to focus.
"But that still doesn't explain why the search party found no sign of you. Do you want me to repeat the question? Felix?" Apparently Felix had zoned out slightly.
"Sorry, what?" Just as quickly as the dizziness came it vanished.
"Why didn't anyone find any trace of you in the forest? No fire, no shelter, no tracks, nothing? Max?" I ran my tongue over my lips quickly before I managed to stutter out my response.
"Um, I'm not sure. Maybe they weren't looking in the right place or right place wrong time maybe. We uh-we were trying to find out way back. We kept moving."
"Helicopters were scouring the area as well as search parties on the ground. If you weren't actually in trouble, the resources wasted would be-" Michelle Keats cut herself off when the building started to shake. Someone shouted out "Earthquake!" And the room erupted into chaos. An alarm went off and everyone tried to scatter.
I looked at the boys before turning to Jake who had his fists clenched so tightly his knuckles turned white and he seemed unfazed by the tremor. I grabbed his hand tightly. "J stop-" Felix interrupted me grabbing my shoulder quickly.
"We have to get out of here. Come on!" I held Jakes hand and pulled him behind me as the four of us sneak out the back door.
"What was that?" Sam asked confused. I just watched as Jake stared at his fist his other hand holding mine tightly.
"Bremin is not on any fault lines." Andy told us.
"It was you, wasn't it?" Felix asked as I put my free hand on Jakes shoulder and rubbed it trying to calm him down.
"I couldn't help it." Jake admitted strongly.
"Whoa, hang on. Since when could you make the ground shake?" Sam asked.
"Since we got back." I nodded. It makes sense, he's the earth element.
"Whenever I turn a tap on, the water goes crazy." Andy admitted. "I sneezed and made the washing line spin around." Sam added.
"Crossing universes. Maybe it's giving us elemental powers somehow." Felix explained shakily.
"You're fire, right? You must have a fire power. And Max you must have a power with energy somehow." I nodded looking around us to make sure nobody was watching.
"Not here. I'll show you, but not here. We need to get out of sight." Felix says leading us away.
"Our parents are gonna kill us." Jake points out squeezing my hand quickly.
"They'll forgive us come on." I tell him pulling him along as I follow Felix.
//////////////////////
"Superheroes need superhero names. You could be 'Jake the Quake' and you could be 'Wet Andy. And Max you can be-" Sam joked as we walked along the trail leading to the shack. Jake and I walked behind Sam,Andy and Felix still holding hands. As we walked I couldn't help but stare at out conjoined hands, feeling confused.
"Max I'm not a superhero." I tell Sam distractedly.
"That would make you "Airhead." Andy retorts.
"Look - the same as in the other universe." Jake says sounding happy.
"OK, show us your stuff." Sam gestures to Felix. Who takes his hands out of his pockets and holds them up using one hand to steady the other as a small ball of fire hovers over his hand.
"Whoa. Seriously awesome, dude." Sam says in aweh.
"Spontaneous combustion. You can even control it." Andy muses as Felix extinguishes the flame.
"Kind of, what's your power Max?" I slip my hand out of Jakes and take a step away from the boys not wanting anything to happen unexpectedly. After a deep breath I hold my hands out as if I was holding an invisible book and allow for the bright blue light to shine out of my palms. That's all that happens really, I haven't tried to do much with my power seeing as how my family hasn't really left me alone for more than half an hour at a time. But I am quite capable of making flashlights, I let my hands drop to my sides.
"You can control it to Max, how do you do that."
"It's not that hard for me. But you guys get your cool elemental powers and all I get are dinky flashlight hands." Just after I finish my sentence all of our phones go off. I pull mine out of my brown leather jacket pocket and unlock it finding three texts.
"Where are you? Why did you leave the station? Are the boys with you? We're all really worried, I'm happy you have friends now Maxxie but you can't just up and leave like this especially not after what happened."
"If you ran off with your boyfriend's tell them I own six different types of guns in this house alone and I will use them for target practice."
"Maxaya you get your sorry butt back here or so help me you will not make it to your next birthday, I will help Charlie shoot those boys if they are a bad influence on you."
"I think they've noticed we're gone." Andy suggests.
"My brother and aunt are both threatening to use you four as target practice." I inform them with a smile.
"I should go home." Jake tells us as he turns to walk away, Andy, Sam and I copying his actions.
"No! We have to stick together." Felix cries out stoping the four of us in our tracks.
"Dude, we're home now. Nothing is chasing us." Sam says cockily.
"Alice is here. I saw her." I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion."The restoring demon?" Andy asks for clarification.
"How?" Jake asks using a strong tone of voice.
"She must have come through somehow when we did." Felix says sounding unsure.
"What for? There's no restoring to do. We belong here." Jake says in disbelief.
"The talisman doesn't. You still have it, don't you?" Felix said pointedly to Andy.
"Sorry, I'm not just gonna hand it over." Andy told him stubbornly. I shook my head and wrung my hands on the back of my neck.
"It's the only thing that can protect us." Felix insisted.
"Our powers can protect us."
"You can't even control them." Felix argued.
"Then show us how!"
"You kind of owe us, Felix." Sam interjected. Letting out a sigh, I started typing out a text to my dad saying that we were all okay just needed to get away from the reporters and stuff. I told him it was all overwhelming and were just hanging out and cooling off and that we'll be home later.
I had a feeling this was going to take awhile.
///////////////////
"Want me to pull your finger?" Jake asks Sam whose pointing at a can and scrunching his face up and groaning.
"Please don't." I tell him in disgust. Sam's farts don't exactly smell like roses.
"Maybe I need to sneeze." Sam asked Felix.
"There might be a physical trigger." Felix agreed next to me. So Sam sneezed and when he did he sprayed all over Jake and Andy.
"Gross, dude! You're supposed to be aiming for the can." Jake who was standing closest to Sam wiped his hands on Sam's bright red jacket.
"There must be a process. Every action has a reaction. Tell us how you do it." Andy pointed his questions towards Felix and I.
"I don't know how I do it. How do you catch a football?" Felix asked Jake.
"I hold out my arms, and I catch." Jake told him as if it was obvious.
"I tried that once. Didn't work." I covered my hand as I laughed at Andy's disappointment over the fact that it didn't work for him. "If magic is like science, then it can be learned."
"Andy, Im pretty sure you're putting to much thought into it. It should be more like a natural thing, I think is what Felix was trying to get at." Andy didn't seem to like that because he then asked Jake how he had made the ground shake.
"I don't know." Jake snapped his fingers in realization. "I saw Bates with my mum, and that freaked me out."
"OK. Try remembering that feeling, harnessing it." Felix coached Jake nodded but still seemed a little lost. He raised his hand aiming at the can anyways.
"And remember - kiss me again, Mr Bates!" Sam mocked and made kissing noises. Jake closed his eyes and clenched his fist.
"Keep doing that." Felix said, I pulled out my phone and recorded Sam's mocking.
"Ooh, Mr Bates, I love you!" Sam continued until The ground began shaking.
"Jake, You're doing it!" I tell him happily as I hold my arms up to steady myself.
"Hey, did you guys see that?" Jake asks rhetorically whilst grinning. I stop the video knowing that if I want I can use it as blackmail.
"OK, my turn!" Sam said pushing Jake out of the way. Sam cracked his knuckles and let out a breath before throwing his fist out while grunting only for nothing to happen. This frustrated him so he threw his arm around as if to say he was annoyed with it and a blast of air knocked over the cans.
"Did you see that?" Sam celebrated. I chuckled taking his place. I shake out my hands and push my sleeves up to my elbows before taking a deep breath and letting my hands light up. This was easy by now for me but I wanted to see if I could do anything with it. Looking from my left to right palm, I start tilting my hands together to make the beams of light intercept. When they do they form a small basketball sized bright blue ball. My eyes widen and a gasp escapes my lips. Widening the distance between my hands makes the ball go bigger and smaller if I close the distance.
"That's good Max, keep your focus and aim it at the can." Felix tells me in a calm tone. Letting out a sigh, I look between the can and the blue ball and bring my hands closer together making the ball shrink to about the size of a baseball before I throw it at the can.
The can doesn't shake like it did with Jake or fall off like it did for Sam no for me the can melts. The rims of the edges all fold in on itself and the metal becomes liquid. The five of us cautiously surround the box we used as a table, staring at what was left of the can.
"I think we're gonna need another can." Sam tells us jokingly. I stared at the can in amazement.
"Remind me to never get on your bad side." Jake tells me with a proud look on his face. "Right, Come on, Andy. Your turn, mate." Jake says putting a different can on the table after using his foot to get rid of the other one. We all backed up and Felix picked up the bucket of water we had for Andy.
"Focus, Andy." Felix tells Andy after tossing the water into the air. I back up accidentally backing into Jake. He smiles and steadies me by holding my waist as Andy forms the water into a sphere.
"Go for the can, go for the can!" Sam cheers on. Andy tries to take Sam's advice but the water falls back drenching his nice clothes with water. We all chuckle Felix and I being more discreet about it.
"I know what we can call him now - Drip Boy." Sam teases.
"You have to try using the power of your mind." Jake tells him jokingly letting me go.
"I have an IQ of 144! I use the power of my mind more than any of you!" Andy cries out in defense.
"Yeah, our powers can barely defeat tin cans. No way we're ready for a restoring demon. Talisman." Felix declares.
"Well Max's can." Sam points out putting a hand on shoulder. Felix ignores him and puts the talisman that he had just received from Andy around his neck. "I need to come up with a plan." Felix decided as he started towards the shack.
"We could help." Andy persisted.
"Yes, you could! No more talk of alternate universes and magical wormholes. THAT will help." Felix snapped before storming off.

The Next Day
"Maxxie your friends are here." I ignored my dad as I ate another grape while flipping the page in my book.
"Max your friends are here." My dad repeated himself with Sam and Jake came into the kitchen. I took my eyes away fast enough to see them before looking back at my book.
"We tried to text you but you didn't answer." Jake says sheepishly.
"My phones in my room. I didn't wanna get up." I tell him flipping the page again. I had started reading The Maze Runner this morning when I woke up from a nightmare.
"Well Andy, Felix and Oscar are outside. We all wanted to hangout for a bit before the party?" Jake said stuffing his hands in his pockets.
"What party?" Aunt Mel asked as she walked into the kitchen putting her bags next to me.
"I'll hangout but I'm not going to the party." I say as I put my bookmark in my book and turn slightly to face the guys. Sam looked very confused and offended as he asked why I wasn't going. "I don't wanna hang around a bunch of people who want to talk to me just cause I'm suddenly interesting."
"Maxxie, go the party. Make some friends or something. Besides what else are you going to do while I'm out taking your aunt to the airport and your brother's sleeping the day away." My dad said just before Charlie came out wearing plaid pajama pants and no shirt and Zero trotting along beside him. I think Charlie gets nightmares too but about the war, Zero's been stuck to his side since I've gotten back.
"What are they? Chopped liver?." I asked pointing at Sam and Jake as Jake crouched down to pet Zero.
"He means friends that can't potentially get you pregnant." Charlie said grabbing a water bottle and leaving the room with Zero following behind. Earning a grape at the back of his head as he left.
"That's not what I meant." My dad tried to defend himself. "Well sort of but not in that way-well in that-No getting pregnant."
"Take my bags to the truck please Thomas!" My dad did exactly that taking the opportunity to get away from the situation my brother had created. "Well, it was nice to meet you boys, Maxa-"
"Max." I cut her off before she said my whole first name.
"Sorry, Max. Anyways Max the next time I get a call asking me to come down it had better be for something exciting like you got a boyfriend and your dad wants to know where I hid the bullets. Not something like you disappearing into the forest. You hear me. Love you." I nodded as she pulled me into a side hug and kissed my temple.
"Love you too. Bye Aunt Mel." I called after her as she left. As soon as the door shut I turned to Jake and Sam. "What does Felix want?"
///////////////////
It looked like it was going to rain today. Had I had known this I would have worm pants instead of shorts with my grey hoodie that says Just Music across the chest.
"Am I the only one who realizes how incredibly creepy this is?" I ask from my crouch position between Oscar and Andy. I didn't get an answer because Felix came back to our hiding spot.
"Anything?" Jake asks him.
"Nothing." Felix declares.
"Look - it's me, skating over the bins. How did you do this?" Sam said as he looked through Oscar's comic. I had yet to look through it so I took it from Sam.
"Oscar is Spirit in that universe and this one." Felix answers. I ignore him as I flip through the pages pausing when I find a small box featuring Jake and I leaning against the tree when he ate the poison pickles. A chuckle escaped my lips.
"So you've got a power? Way to go." Jake praised I nodded in agreement.
"There she is." Felix says drawing my attention away from the paper book in my hands.
"You really think she's gonna tell us how to defeat her sister?" Andy asks as we watch the ugly van go by.
"Only one way to find out." Felix decides as he goes into the house Sam and Andy following. I stood up and followed them shaking my head.
"This is so wrong." I whine slightly wringing my hands on my neck as Jake helped Oscar with his wheelchair up the path beside me.
"It'll be okay." Jake tells me with a nod. I couldn't bring myself to believe him.
"Phoebe? Phoebe?" The boys all walked into the house but I remained in the doorway of the patio door and stayed slightly hidden.
"Uh, private property. What are you doing in here?" Phoebe cried irritated. Felix told her that we needed her help. This only seemed to creep Phoebe out more. "You used to slink around my shop. The rest of you, I've never met. You want help, try your parents."
"Dude, she doesn't know us in this universe." Sam told Felix.
"And there is no universe in which I wanna know you; move it!" Phoebe told him sassily.
"Wait, can we just." Felix started but was cut off by Oscar.
"Your sister is a demon." This lead a domino effect causing Andy to say that Alice had tried to Kill us. Than Sam to mention the tornado but called it a hurricane.
"What's going on?" A soft sheepish voice called out.
"Nothing. Go back to bed." Phoebe told her sister.
"Water, Fire, Earth and Air, elements that we all share." Felix began to chant as the boys all step back a bit while he held up the talisman.
"What is that?" Alice asked.
"Water, Fire, Earth and Air, elements that we all share."
"OK, bad teenage poetry is the last straw." Phoebe said sternly.
"It's not glowing. So there's no danger?" Andy asked Felix told us that he didn't understand.
"Creepy boy and your forest friends - out. Get out!" Phoebe shouted pointing at the door that I had finally stepped away from. I grabbed Felix's arm the held the talisman and shoved him lightly towards the door. I pointed at the door in an almost motherly way causing the rest of them to leave before I turned to Phoebe and Alice.
"I am so sorry, they're not very good with boundaries. We won't bother you again." I apologize to them honestly before I jog to catch up with the boys. "What the hell was that?" I cried out to them whacking each of them on the head. Jake being the last one I went to hit does it but I swatted his arm anyways. "You can't just go and tell someone their sister is a demon. Have your parents taught you nothing about manners?" None of them answered but I continued to ramble under my breath.
////////////
"M, calm down." Jake told me stopping my rambling before he turned to the others. She didn't look like much of a demon to me."
"Yeah: no crows, no bees." Sam listed in agreement.
"If the talisman didn't glow, that means she's not a threat, doesn't it?" Andy pointed out.
"Maybe the talisman works differently in this universe. Maybe it's broken." Felix attempted to reason.
"Maybe she's just Phoebe's sister, like she says." Sam shrugged.
"She came back the same time we did. No way that's a coincidence." Felix pointed out.
"I'm not saying that it's not a sign Felix but what we just did. That. Phoebe could've called the cops on us. Okay that was seriously not okay especially with all the attention the five of us have already got on us from our disappearance. I'm not saying that Alice is something we should just ignore. But for now she seems weak like extremely weak. So for right now can we please just let it go." I tried to reason with him, I tried to keep my voice steady, stern and soft all at the same time.
"Yeah We've got a party to get to." Sam says sounding tired.
//////////////////
Sam didn't let go of my arm until we go the party to "make sure I go" he said. Granted I did try to leave. But I was still annoyed that I was forced to go.
Walking into the weird garage thing we got welcomed like we were famous. And I hated it. I had never wanted to disappear so badly.
"Move it, nerd!" Trent shoved Andy out of his way so I 'accidentally' stuck my foot out causing him to trip. He caught himself sadly though and caught up with Jake. "Hey, the footy team hasn't been the same without you, bro."
I groaned and patted Andy's shoulder after making sure he was okay before I swiped a pop from the cooler and left the shelter and sat on a rock with my bag on the ground next to me and a pop in my hand as I watched people converse with each other.
"What's wrong? Being a local celebrity to boring for you?" A familiar voice said to me as a curly haired brunette girl sat next to me.
"I hate parties and attention ." I shrugged and took a sip.
"So do I, but I just had to meet the famous Bremin Five. I'm Bobby Delgado, my mum and I moved here a few days after you lot disappeared." Bobby held her hand out for me to shake.
"Max Delaware." I tell her drinking some more pop.
"So if you hate parties then why are you here Max?" Bobby asked as she pushed her hair back.
"I got dragged here against my will. And my dad says I need friends." I tell her finishing off my drink.
"My mum says the same thing. But Im not a huge fan of people." Bobby tells me honestly. "I mean don't get me wrong some people are okay but most of them just make me wanna tear my hair out." Bobby paused and smiled at me weirdly. "I'm gonna go get some food. Seems like you have a visitor. Gimme your can." I handed her my empty can and she winked at me before stood up going inside.
"Hey M," Jake said as he walked up to where I was with a pop can in each hand and sat down on the rock that Bobby has recently occupied. "You having fun?"
"Have I been here long enough for it be polite for me to leave?" Jake chuckled and handed me one of the cans."I Wasn't sure if you'd had a drink yet." He admits quietly.
"I was going to get another one so you saved me the trip. Thank you." He laughs.
"Are you glad to be home?" I hesitate before answering.
"It's still bittersweet. I mean it was a fun adventure, aside from the sleeping in the shack, the constant hunger-" I listed lowering my voice slightly.
"And the Demon trying to kill us?" He continued for me. "Can't forget that." He told me smiling, I couldn't help but chuckle thinking back remembering the conversation we had with Felix back in the other universe. "Would you still kick Trent in the teeth if he stared at you the way he did that day?"
"Definitely, he's a dick in the universe and ours. You should've seen the way he shoved Andy, I wanted to kick his teeth in there." I told him taking a sip of my drink.
"Why didn't you?" I didn't get the chance to answer because there was a chorus of laughter coming from the shelter. Jake and I shared looks of confusion and put our drinks down before he stood up and offered his hand to me helping me up as well and not letting go of my hand. The two of us pushed our way through the crowd. To find Andy drenched in water. I used my free hand to cover my mouth slightly feeling really bad for him as Felix went up to him and scolded him. Everyone watched as the two quietly argued before Andy yanked Felix's bag off of Felix's shoulder. And pushed through the crowd running into the trees.
"Hey, Andy, give it back!" Felix cried as he chased after Andy. Jake and I shared another look this one more of a silent agreement on the decision of going after them before the two of us followed Felix with our hands still entwined. We caught up when Felix was filling in Sam. "Andy took my bag with the Book of Shadows and the talisman. We have to go after him."
"Dude, this is our party." Sam complained before felix forcefully turned him around and pointed at the storm clouds.
" It's getting closer. Order must be restored, remember?" Felix rushed causing the four of us to take off after Andy.
"Andy! Andy?" We called after him.
"Andy, what are you doing?" Felix asked as we found Andy crawling onto a log and standing above a small pond.
"I can do this!" Andy argued vaguely.
"Do what?" I called out nervously as my clutch on Jakes hand tightened.
"You'll see.Elements, obey me. Water, heed my call." Andy began to say a spell and the water rose up from the pond and began circling him.
"Andy, stop. You don't know." Felix warned only to be ignored. Felix told us to look and pointed over to the storm that was forming a small tornado as Andy continued. "Andy you have to stop!" I cried out hoping he would listen.
"Rise and fall- Become the power, the source of all. Elements, obey me. Water, heed my call." Andy began to repeat as we all called out to him begging him to stop.
"Surround, unleash, rise and fall. Become the power, the source of all." Andy now looked as though he was made of water.
"Andy, stop this! Look at what you're doing!" Felix finally gained Andy's attention.
"I have the power now. I can control the magic." Just as he finished saying this the tornado came and swept him up into the Sky with the four of us calling after him.

5873 words. I don't know whether or not to apologize but I do like making the episodes all one chapter as well as trying to add my own bits into it. So this is the first episode of Season 2. They're all back in their world and I totally picture Max becoming like a mama bear over the boys. I don't know but I enjoy it. So let me know what you think! 💙💙 I'm also going to have Chapter songs at the beginning of the chapter, just song recommendations I have for you guys. :)
This is Max's outfit for the last half of the chapter
