Mike didn't show up to English that day, which left Micky worried. He asked the teacher if he could go to the restroom, and practically sprinted out when she said yes.
He looked up and down the halls for Mike, but found him in an empty classroom. The lights were off and Mike was sitting in the corner on the floor, crying his eyes out.
"Mike, hey Mike, it's okay." Micky bent down next to him and grabbed his hands. Mike flinched and yanked his hands away.
"G-Get away from me."
Micky's heart broke for him and he slowly backed off, as he was told. But he didn't go away completely. "Is it what that bastard Peter said? Don't listen to him Mike, he's an ass."
Mike was a little surprised by Micky's language, but didn't say anything. He looked away.
"Mike." Micky slowly reached out and cupped his hand under Mike's chin, causing the older boy to look at him again. "I'm here, Mike."
Slowly, Micky leaned forward.
And their lips met in a soft, sweet kiss.
