He keeps lying! He keeps lying! He doesn't give a shit about you!
I know!
Like yesterday he said you'd get extra cuddles and assurance if you called Jamia a slut. You didn't get anything! He barely paid attention to you!
What am I doing wrong?
You're letting yourself be manipulated. You're letting yourself be vulnerable.
But what if he makes up for his promises?
That's not very likely.
I'm doing the same thing to him though. He just sees through my bullshit.
Start to be more independent. Just a little. Then ask him for whatever you want and make a promise. He'll just be glad that you're not going to depend on him that much. Although, you'll go back to being just as dependent.
He's too smart for that. But I'll try.
Make him feel bad for not taking care of you.
I can't! He can't feel bad about things. He's not capable of remorse!
He's also not capable of love, but you still believe he loves you.
No one knows for sure. Yeah, a majority of professionals say they can't, but it's not proven.
He's faking it! He's only pretending that he loves you. He's using you!
You don't know that!
Gerard Way does not love you!
Where's your proof?
He lies, manipulates, uses, and threatens you. He calls you a crybaby when you're sad. Last week, he left you while you had a flashback. That's not love.
"Why do you lie to me?" Frank asked Gerard as soon as he walked into their room.
"What?"
"Why do you lie to me?"
"I don't lie to you."
"Yes, you do."
Gerard rolled his eyes. "You are full of shit."
"You keep telling me you'll do things for me if I do something for you. You don't fulfill your promises."
"Now you're lying."
"No I'm not!"
"You need to get your head check," Gerard advised. Gerard lied on his own bed and opened up his sketchbook. He began doodling.
"Gerard, I know I'm demanding, and annoying, but I hate when you lie."
"I do not lie!" Gerard hollered. He tightened his grip on his pencil. He broke it. Frank held his pillow to his chest and looked away.
Maybe I'm the crazy one.
Gerard's just an asshole. He won't accept responsibility.
"You're the reason I'm always mad! Gerard boomed. "Stop looking away like your scared and helpless when you know it's your fault!
Frank winced and closed his eyes. He was hoping that Zen would hear him and come in.
"If we ever break up, it's all your fault." Gerard scribbled something down with the remains of the pencil. He held it up. "You see this? It says, 'FRANK'S FAULT.' You know why? Because it's always your fault," Gerard taunted. He smiled. "I'm the victim here. Not you, attention whore."
Frank nodded, not wanting to argue. He didn't have the guts to argue. He breathed through his nose.
"You make me sick. Your face disgusts me. Get out. Get ouuuut!" Gerard screamed the last demand at the top of his lungs. It left Frank scrambling out the door.
Frank ran down the hall and barged into his other room. He flopped on his bed and buried his face in his arms. Tears kept falling as he quietly sobbed.
My fault. My fault. My fault. It's always my fault! I can't do anything right!
Well if you weren't such a whiny bitch, nothing bad would happen.
I don't even whine that much!
Gerard says you do!
I know I'm too clingy, but he is not allowed to leave me! I need him to take care of me!
That's pathetic! Utterly pathetic! Take care of yourself!
I can't take care of myself. I'm not able to. I can't do anything right, so I need someone to make decisions for me.
Ugh! You're hopeless!
Frank cuddled with his pillow. "I need somebody. I have Jenny. Jenny will take care of me! She knows what's best for me!" He smiled, but then remembered that Gerard hated her. He never told him why, so he figured it had something do with the flour incident. He shivered at the thought. Dr. Eston said that Gerard was a bad influence on him.
Frank regretted tampering with the food. On the other hand, Gerard did not. Gerard was proud of his actions. He did not care that he was reckless. Frank envied that. He envied the lack of regret and lack of empathy. Frank knew that without those two qualities, he wouldn't be a nervous wreck.
"What's wrong?"
Frank gasped and saw Zen standing in the doorway. "Oh, nothing," he dismissed.
"I saw you running from your other room. It's Gerard, isn't it?"
"Yeah."
"Is he getting physical with you?"
"No."
"What'd he do?"
"I would prefer if you stayed out of my dating life."
"Was it serious?"
"No, it wasn't anything serious."
"Gerard's always given me bad vibes," Zen shivered. "I know you probably don't want to hear it since he's your boyfriend, but he creeps me out."
"What was he like when you met him?"
"He was very, factual, if that's the word. He had a lot of knowledge on things so he shared it. He had street smarts too. He had a huge ego and liked to be an ass to me. Then one day, he became quiet. I saw him as a ticking time bomb."
"How did you see me?"
"Oh, I don't know. Quiet, scared, and isolated."
"So you saw me as pathetic?" Frank asked.
"Frank-"
"How do you see me now?"
"Confused, broken, and sad."
"Oh..."
"Don't take it personally. I have to go. Bye."
"Bye." Frank groaned and sat up. He looked around the room. He glanced at the clock. Lunch started in five minutes. Jenny!
With a huge smile on his face, Frank tied his converse and excitedly jumped up and down, staring at the clock.
Once it was time, he darted out the door. Frank spotted Jenny and sprinted towards her. He hugged her super tight.
She hugged him back, laughing out of surprise. "Hey! You're happy to see me!"
"I am!" he announced cheerfully. "Let's go," he said jumping up and down. Frank grabbed Jenny's hand and led her to the lunch line.
After getting his food, the duo walked to a table. Gerard stared at Frank coldly, but Frank ignored him. He pulled out a chair for Jenny and sat in the seat next to it. He opened the almond milk and sipped. "We're not going to sit with Gerard?'' Jenny questioned.
''We're not,'' he replied. Frank ate his peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Jenny nodded, not wanting to ask any questions that would invade his privacy. ''Jenny, I love you."
''Awe! I love you too,'' she beamed.
Gerard heard this and turned around to stare. His eyes stuck to Jenny like flies to molasses. He was mad at the scene playing out before him. Frank was giggling with that bitch! He was choosing Jenny over him, he realized. The way they smiled at each other made him sick. Frank was too gay for this shit.
I can pretend that they have an inappropriate relationship! It'll be so fucking easy!
''Jenny? Do you think I should start wearing my other shoes, instead of these?'' Frank pointed down to his converse.
''I haven't seen your other shoes. But, wear whatever you want.''
''But what do you want me to wear?''
''I want you to wear whatever you want.''
''But do you want me to wear my converse?''
''I want you to wear whatever you want,'' Jenny reassured again.
''But what do you want me to wear?''
''The converse...I guess.''
''Thanks Jenny.''
''You're welcome.''
Frank continued eating. Him and Jenny small talked. Suddenly Gerard appeared behind Jenny. Before Frank could say anything, Gerard viciously held his tray above Jenny's head and turned it upside down. Spaghetti got tangled in her hair. Marinara sauce slid down her nose. Corn fell into her bra. A meatball made its way onto her lap while garlic bread crumbs made their way onto her right shoulder. Frank and Jenny gasped. Frank handed her some napkins as Gerard laughed discourteously. Zen rushed over and told Gerard to come with him. Dr. Bitch gave Jenny a stack of napkins and helped her tidy up.
''What is wrong with you?'' Zen asked rhetorically.
''I'm a sociopath,'' Gerard giggled. His pretty white teeth were showing perfectly to exemplify how elated he was.
''Guess what? You just wasted all your food and you can't get anymore.''
''Not all of it was wasted. I ate all of the garlic bread and I ate some of the spaghetti and some of the corn.''
''Stop being a smart alek. This is why you have no friends! This is why you'll never survive in the real world!''
Gerard let out an exaggerated gasp. ''Oh no! I'm gonna go cut myself now!''
Zen rolled his eyes in disgust and demanded that Gerard go back to his room. Gerard shrugged and skipped back to his room like the dishonorable human being he was. Zen shivered in disgust as he viewed Gerard enjoy his actions.
Frank was waiting for Jenny to come back from changing her clothing. He was scared that she wouldn't come back. Gerard was his boyfriend, so he was responsible for his actions. Frank hated that he sat all alone now. What if something bad happened? What if Jenny never came back? Frank was so preoccupied with his thoughts that he was startled when Zen told him to eat. He mumbled a quick, ''Oh, yeah.''

Frank somberly took a look at his boyfriend who was sprawled across the floor in front of him. Why Gerard was in this position wasn't very important at the moment, although it was quite random. The floor was chilly and hard. ''W-why'd you have to be mean to Jenny?''
''Eh, I just felt like it.''
''Oh....but Jenny doesn't de-deserve it.''
''Do I care?''
''No, Gerard.''
''Exactly.'' Gerard stood up and stretched his arms and legs. ''You're so cute today. So submissive and scared. Love it- love you.''
''I love you too.''
Gerard kissed his forehead and tucked his hair behind his ears. ''So passive and obedient. Like a good boy.''
Frank smiled nervously, downcasting his eyes. ''Yeah.''
''If cartoon bluebirds were real, a bunch of them would be sitting on your shoulders singing right now.''
Frank giggled and blushed. ''If you say so.''
''Hell yeah, i say so, Baby.'' Gerard had a sweet little smile on his face. ''So, I was thinking about sneaking out and watching TV tonight. Sound like a plan?''
''Um, but I don't want to get caught.'' Frank winced, not wanting to Gerard to get mad at him.
''But I wanna watch something sweet and romantic with you, so we could cuddle,'' Gerard pouted. ''Baby, why are you so scared? It's not like I'm going to be mad at you for saying no.''
Frank shrugged. ''I don't know,'' he mumbled.
''I just want to get comfy with you and watch something cute. Yes or no?''
''Sure. Just as long as we don't get in trouble.''
''Sounds like a plan. What's the worst that could happen anyways?
Frank and Gerard snuck out of their room successfully at night. They never did find anything romantic. But lucky for them, they found South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut. Cuddling to that movie was more romantic than expected.
