I couldn't believe it. How could my mother tell me this. Out of all people! I fell back, stunned and hurt by the words.
"What, what do you mean?" I questioned
"Honey it's just not safe. We need to keep you hidden," she answered
"From who?"
"From Jackie."
"Who?"
"GO PACK!" My father screamed.
Pissed, I ran to my room and started throwing everything. How could my family do this to me? Do they not have hearts? I sat on my bed and sobbed for hours.

I heard a light tap on the door and knew who it was. I sat up and wiped my tears away.
"Come in," I said, barely audible.
The door opened and in walked Josh. He saw my swollen eyes from crying and hugged me.
"I-I have to..." I couldn't finish my sentence before I started crying.
"Shh..." He whispered and stroked my hair, "you don't have to say anything." We stood there, for about 30 minutes just crying together. He hated to see me go.
"I could go with you," he suggested.
I shook my head "no my mom was scared, something's after me, and I don't want you getting hurt."
"It'll be fine. We're a good duo team."
"But..." I couldn't finished before he planted his lips on mine. For the first time, we kissed.
I felt so much better. All the stress in head just vanished. It's like I was flying. That's how I felt too. I was on cloud nine, for the first time in 3 months.
He looked at me smiled "We'd better get packing. We leave in the morning."
