Crashing into bed that night brought me a wave of comfort. I hadn't had a good night's sleep since I arrived in Santorini and by now I probably looked like the walking dead. The conversation I had with Taeyong on the balcony kept replaying in my head like a broken record. His voice ringing out in my head like a beautiful melody.
Eventually, I drifted to sleep with thoughts of another seaside rendezvous with batman. However, once I awoke after a delightfully long sleep, I soon realised my plans were about to change drastically.
Dark, dull, grey clouds swarmed the sky, casting a gloomy glow across the land. Raindrops relentlessly showered down from the sky, making quite splatter noises as they came into contact with the glass doors that lead to the balcony. Occasionally, the loud crash of thunder could be heard somewhere in the distance.
On the other hand, I felt like a small caterpillar, encased in the capsule of warmth and safety I called a bed. I much preferred to be a spectator of the rain and cold than to be in the middle of it.
My mind was wandering away as I was trapped in my own personal bubble when a sharp knock at the door interrupted my train of thought. Reluctantly, I peeled the warm covers from my body and hissed with disapproval as the cold air stabbed at my skin.
It must be my parents at the door, wondering why I haven't emerged from my room in the past 10 hours. A loud yawn escaped my lips as I stretch my arms as much as I can, desperately trying to wake my sleeping limbs.
Another knock at the door. "Alright, alright! I'm coming!" I yell, shuffling over to the door and opening it. The dim lights that illuminated the hallway was enough to make me wince as I gazed up to the man who stood outside my door.
"Well if it isn't Mr. Arrogant smile." I roll my eyes, stepping back to allow Taeyong entry to my room. He sauntered in and flopped down on my bed like he owned the place.
"That's batman to you, batgirl." He winks at me and I roll my eyes, turning on the TV and scrolling through to find the music channel. I grab a bag of complimentary peanuts that was sat in a small glass bowl on the desk I had and popped one into my mouth.
Taeyong crawled under the covers of my bed and made space for me, motioning for me to lie down next to him. "I'm alright thanks." I say, placing the bag of peanuts back down and perching myself on the end of the bed.
"How'd you keep your room so clean? Mines already a mess." Taeyong comments, his eyes scanning over the spotlessly clean room I inhabited.
"We've been here two nights. One of which I was in hospital for. How'd you even manage to mess a room up that quickly?" I question, swaying my shoulders slightly to the tune of SHINee - View.
Taeyong pulls himself to sit up so that he's sat next to me. "I don't know, I guess it's the way I am. You know, I wasn't expecting you to be in your room. It's almost midday, are you not going out with your parents?" He questions, moving to rest his head on my shoulder but I move to stand up before he could.
My toes curl up, revelling in the feeling of the soft carpet as I walk over to the glass doors and play with the sleeves of my jumper. The raindrops splatter against the window and roll down almost methodically.
Two raindrops catch my eye and I make a mental bet with myself that the raindrop on the left will roll to the bottom first. "Even if my parents wanted to me to go somewhere with them, do you really think I'd let them drag me out in this weather?" I laugh slightly, my eyes concentrated on the two raindrops sliding down. The raindrop on the right was beginning to overtake the one on the left.
"Oh, well, I was wondering....if you really aren't doing anything with your parents today...if you'd let me force you to go somewhere in this weather." Taeyong's words don't register in my brain as I watch the raindrops slide down the cold window only to converge as one halfway down.
"No! You can't do that!" I yell furiously, waving my arms in frustration and then placing my forehead on the cool glass.
Taeyong leaps to his feet behind me and appears at my side. "Did I say something wrong?" He asks, sounding genuinely worried. I turn to face him, staring up at him. It's only now I realise just how much taller he is than me.
"You're tall." I simply comment. Taeyong's worried expression melts away and he smirks, placing his arm atop my head.
"And you're small." He smiles, leaning down so his eyes are level with mine.
I angrily swat his arm off my head. "I am not your personal armrest!" I yell, puffing my cheeks out. Taeyong laughs gently and ruffles my hair playfully.
"Alright batgirl, get ready. I shall return in half an hour and we're going out." He walks out the door to my hotel room before I have the chance to respond. Well I guess I'm spending my day with Taeyong then. Can't say I'm complaining, he's beginning to grow on me.
I took a quick shower to freshen up before changing into some black skinny jeans and a black, lacy crop top. I applied a light layer of makeup and then I was ready. Since I thought Taeyong would be back before I'd be ready, I had rushed to make sure I'd be ready. Turns out, even though I was 10 minutes late in getting ready, Taeyong still hadn't turned up.
After shoving my phone in my back pocket, I exited my hotel room and walked along to Taeyong's room, gently knocking on the door. Patiently, I wait for him to open the door. My patience grows thin very quickly and I'm ready to head back to my room when the door swings open.
"Ah! You're ready! And late." He comments, slipping his arms through a jacket and leaving his room.
"You said you were going to come get me after half an hour." I point out, following Taeyong down the hallway and into the elevator. Taeyong stands just in front of me and he's so close I feel my breath hitch. He's so close I can smell his aftershave. It smelt good, so I wasn't really complaining.
He leant down so that his lips grazed against my ear and I could feel his hot breath tickling my skin. Everything about this situation was awkward for me and I pulled my head back, revealing my glorious chins. "I may or may not have fallen asleep." He whispers in my ear before standing back and leaning against the railing of the elevator.
"Nice chins." Taeyong smirks.
"Thanks." I say, holding my right hand up, making a peace sign. "I'm just too beautiful." I laugh as his phone begins to ring, a new ringtone in place instead of Beyonce.
Taeyong pulls his phone out his pocket and shakes his head, ignoring the call and shoving his phone back in his pocket. I contemplate making a comment but I figured I shouldn't. We're not much more than strangers, I shouldn't be intruding on his private life like that.
"So, Batman, what's the plan? We going to fight crime?" I question, clenching my hands into fists and raising them level to my face. Taeyong chuckles, pushing my hands down so they rest at my sides.
"Something of the sort." He smirks. This can only mean trouble.

Taeyong lead me through the soaked streets of Santorini till we reached a shopping mall. We stepped inside, out of the rain and relished in the warmth of the indoors washing over us. "You brought me here why?" I asked, my body tensing up at the uncomfortable feeling of wet material stuck to my skin.
Taeyong didn't reply, only motioned for me to follow him as he headed further into the mall. He leads me through to a small convenience store that sold items such as hair products, snacks, energy drinks, body wash etc.
Of course I was made to carry a basket as I was dragged down aisle after aisle as Taeyong filled the basket with random items. "You know, when you invited me to spend the day with you I didn't think I'd be going on your weekly shop." I comment.
An arrogant smile plays on his lips. "You'll see why we need all of this pretty soon." My eyes glance down to the basket. 2 pairs of cheap minion pyjamas, an extra large bottle of bubble bath, 2 snorkeling kits, a kids archery set, a roll of tin foil and 10 bags of crisps...what a combination.
"Why exactly do 'we' need all of this?" I ask, "I'm still confused as to why you dragged me here? Me, of all people." I sigh, brushing some wet strands of hair behind my ear as we approached the counter.
"Well every handsome hero has his beautiful sidekick." He winks at me. My eyes roll back into my head but I turn away to hide the slight heat that appears on my cheeks.
I'm 90% sure Taeyong knew I was blushing and I was afraid he'd tease me about it but instead he just said, "alright so pay for the stuff then." My head snaps back so that I can glare at him. If looks could kill, he'd be on the floor right now.
My jaw drops open slightly when I see that he's being serious. "You dragged me out my warm hotel room and force me to pay for your groceries?" I shake my head with disapproval but Taeyong just nods. I don't know why but I paid for them anyway. I'm usually pretty stubborn but something about the way he looked at me just made me want to hand my money over anyway.
Lee Taeyong, the man with the look to make you bend to his will. I hated that about him.
He lead the way up to the top floor where we took refuge hiding behind one of the barriers that overlooked the lower floors. Taeyong takes out the kids archery set. "We are here....so that you can let your hair down." Taeyong smirks.
"My hair is down." I say, referring to my long, wavy locks that swayed around my shoulders.
"Not literally. Figuratively. Take this, fire it at someone." He smiles, shoving the plastic bow and 3 arrows into my hand. I stare down intently at the items that lay in my hand as though I'd never seen a bow and arrow in my life.
My eyes trailed up to meet Taeyong's and he immediately noticed my confused expression. "Why would I want to do that?"
He grabs my hand and pulls me to stand, putting the bow in my hand so that I'm holding it correctly. "I know how to fire an arrow." I say with a hint of annoyance. I don't like it when people treat me like I'm a kid who doesn't know anything.
Taeyong steps back, raising his hands in surrender. "Then by all means, take aim and fire."
Hesitantly, I raise the bow to eye level and place one of the flimsy plastic arrows in, pulling the string back and taking aim at one of the shoppers below me. The bow was under a lot of strain with how hard I was pulling and I thought it would break at any moment. Something about this felt so wrong yet so right.
I closed my eyes and let go, reopening my eyes a few seconds later to see the arrow had flew through the air and struck my target on the arm. Immediately, I ducked down behind the barrier again to hide. Taeyong bursts out laughing, holding his hand up for a high five. I high five him, a wide smile spreading across my face.
"That was fun, right?" A look of wild excitement spreads across Taeyong's face and there's a glow in his eyes I hadn't seen before.
I nod my head, laughing gently. "Yeah, that was really fun."
"Well, that was only the beginning." Taeyong smirks and I can tell I was in for one hell of a ride.

So I decided to update again this quick because I start school again soon and since I have exams next year, updates are probably going to slow down a lot. I'm gonna feel bad because I can't update so I decided to try and update a few times before going back to school.
