Percy's pov
after our mishap on the beach, I took Abigail on a tour round the camp and when we were through we walked towards my cabin and most of the way we were being creeped out by the way the other campers were staring at us weirdly.
I finally got fed up with the stares that we had been getting; I took Abigail by her arm and pulled her towards my cabin.
Once we were there I cleared out a space for her, got a bed and some other items for her to use.
After I had finished setting her things up two bright flashes appeared in the cabin and we already knew who it was, Hestia and Hades.
Abigail, said Hades, I thought I told you to stay in the infirmary.
Hades, said Hestia, you should know that with their impulsive attitude they cannot sit still.
Lady Hestia, lord Hades, I said and bowed what are you doing here.
Well I came to check up on my daughter and my favorite nephew, said Hades.
Hades, stop fooling around, said Hestia as she then turned towards us, Perseus, Abigail the both of you are going to train with Hades and I for the next two years.
Train us, I asked.
Yes train, the fates have said that there will be another war, against who?, we do not know the fates refused to say, all they said was that the both of you are vital to the war.
Okay, I said, when do we leave?
Today, she replied. You have till sundown to pack what you'll need and whatever you leave behind will be given to you later.
I nodded at Lady Hestia and walked towards Hades who was talking to Abigail.
Lord Hades, I said. I need to speak to you privately.
He turned towards me and nodded, we walked away from Abigail and outside of the Poseidon cabin.
Uncle, I started, I wish to know whether my mother is still in the underworld.
Wait, he said. Let me check, he snapped his fingers and a list appeared in his hands, he looked through it before it folded up and disintegrated.
He turned towards me and shook his head.
Your mother isn't in the underworld, he said. Why are you asking?
After the Minotaur attack on us the last time, I had to come to the underworld to save her so I thought she would be here this time.
If we're repeating a timeline in a different manner she should be there, he stated. But it seems the fates changed a lot of things this time.
This time, I asked.
This isn't the first time the fates have changed a timeline, he said. But this time they messed with more than the timeline, it is nearly impossible for one to mess with a gods memory without certain repercussions.
I nodded.
It sundown, Hades pointed out. We'd better get going.
