Christmas started long ago. It was a celebration for many people, and it was a time for gatherings and partys.
The ancient unicorns decided this time of year would be about happiness and love. That people should forgive one another and be kind.
To go along with these fun times, the ancient unicorns started putting up decorations to enhance this special time.
The Christmas tree
Trees were originally thought of as bird towers because that's where birds loved. They weren't used for Christmas specifically until the 1700s.
Fred, an unusual turkey, had decided that he wanted a bird stand to grow in his house. He loved birds, naturally, and he wanted a new edition to his house.
To decorate his bird stand, he put different objects of different shapes and sizes on it. To finish it off, he put a star in top to symbolize the sky that birds fly in.
Many would travel to see this new thing: the 'Christmas tree.' They would marvel at it and express their delight at glimpsing a soon-to-be annual Christmas decoration.
The ancient unicorns marked it as a true sign of Christmas and declared that it showed true spirit.
To this day, this tradition is still followed.
