2nd ULTRASOUND

The nurse wiped the gel of Emilys stomach and she pulled her top back down.

"How many weeks are you now?" She asked curiously.
"14," Emily said as I helped her sit up.
"You should expect some dizzy speeds in the next 4 weeks, don't worry they are common," the nurse said. "Did you have any questions regarding your pregnancy?"
"I do have one," Emily said. "Most people stop getting morning sickness as 12 weeks but I still get it. Why?"
"Some people will experience morning sickness throughout their whole pregnancy," the nurse explained.
"Great!" Emily said sarcastically.
"I'll be ok babe," I said grabbing her hand.
"Yeah, well you're not the one that is throwing up everymorning," she said.
"I know, but it'll all be worth it in the end," I said.
"I know."

I helped her stand up and I rubbed my hand gently over her stomach. The bruise had faded completely and her stomach was rounded. She hid it with a baggy top because we didn't really want the publicity, therefor only friends and family knew.

"Let's get going," I said.
"Ok."

We walked out of the room and back into the car where we sat down and begun talking.

"I want to tell the press Daniel," she said out if the blue. "I want to be able to shop for baby clothes and touch my stomach in public."
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" I asked.
"Yes. We are so unlikely to misscarry. Please?" She begged.
"Ok, my mother was going to throw a party next week. I'll ask her if it can be a formal announcement of the pregnancy."
"Thank you," she said kissing my cheek.
"Only for you!" I said cheekily. "It's late, let's go home," I said looking at the clock and realizing it was nearly 9pm.


We drove home and I made my way upstairs followed by Emily and I snuggled her under the covers.

"We never spoke about what gender we think the baby is," I said giving a small smile.
"I don't mind, whatever they want," Emily said closing her eyes.
"It says on the internet if you have more morning sickness than other women you are more likely to have a boy."
"That would be nice," she said smiling. "A mini you!"
