I'm just going to start with it. I don't have much motivation to continue this story. BUT. I may continue so please read until the end, which I'm hoping some of you will anyway. If you don't feel like it, please read the last paragraph at least.
I started to write this story in what, 2014? I've been doing this for a while. And this amount of time has caused me to naturally lose passion for what I'm writing about. That's the first thing.
Secondly, I felt so incredibly accepted by the Teen Titans wattpad community. You guys have stuck with me through everything, all of my doubts, all of my writer's blocks. Many of you have witnessed me growing as a writer, going from chapters that were a mere 2 pages to some that were 13 pages. You have watched my vocab expand and my description improve and you have praised me. For that, I am very thankful.
Now onto the future of this story. As you can probably tell, I created some characters with the help of a few of you readers out there, and I kind of love them. It would be a great opportunity for me to work on character development and really achieve a goal I have had for a long time. I also had an idea of how the rest of the plot would go, or rather, how the story would end, something I unrealistically never had the intention of doing.
Right now, I am not the happiest with my writing. My concentration has weakened in the past years, which has made it very difficult for me to start a project and continue with it, which makes this story a unique situation. I have published 32 chapters to date, which is an accomplishment. The quality may not be great, but at least I stuck with something.
So many of you have begged for updates and I truly love you all so much. Many of you have told me that I inspire you and you link me to your stories and I absolutely love to read them. I love knowing that I have at least helped someone out there or given you enjoyment from my writing. That truly means the world to me you guys have no idea.
I also absolutely hate myself for demonizing Terra the way I have. I made her extremely obnoxious and bratty, which was totally unrealistic and tropey, for lack of a better word. I made her a basic mean girl, didn't develop her character at all, and frankly didn't do her justice. She's done some bad things and isn't my favorite character, but she didn't deserve the way I completely mischaracterized her. If I wanted to make a rude girl character, I could have just created my own character, but at the time I was so enraged by bbterra that I honestly didn't even care. Whoops.
There is something I could do with my story. This is my one idea I have on how to salvage this. I can continue with the plot I have going now, develop these super cool characters, and end this with some angst and a super awesome hero mission. This is what I would like to do. Would any of you be interested in reading something like that? And if you have any suggestions of things you would like to see I can see if I can incorporate it, but no guarantees.
