"Hey Anna!" I ran over to Annabelle. "Why haven't we been talking lately?" She was with a few kids from our table.
"Look Lil. I'm sorry but.. I don't think we should be friends anymore. None of want to be. We just thought you were smart and we were gonna have you do our homework." The others and her giggled. "Well find a new table bye!" She turned away walking with the others.
I walked to the next class slowly and sadly.
"Hey Lilly!" Danielle's voice filled my ears as she got in front of me. "Why so down?"
"You didn't just want me to do your homework." I mumbled under my breath.
"What are you talking about? Oh." She looked down. "They told you?"
"You new!"
"They told me if I told you they were gonna give me a swirly."
"Well have fun with them" I started to keep walking.
"Wait! Can I sit with you at lunch? Who needs those losers your awesome!"
I lightly smiled. "Really?"
"Heck yah! Meet me at your locker right before lunch I've got stuff to tell you." We both jogged off to class.
"Hey Lilly"
"What Zach? We are supposed to be doing this page."
"And we can have partners." He sat down next to me.
"Well I don't wanna partner."
"Too bad"
I looked over at him and he smirked.
"Fine" I said annoyed.
"We should uhm hang out soon." I looked at him and looked behind me and Danielle was totally in on this.
"Sounds okay" I smiled.
"Great can I pick you up tomorrow? Say 7:00?"
"Sounds good" I smiled. We then worked on our paper and the next thing was lunch.
"Danielle!" She beat me to my locker and I ran over to her.
"Did you say yes?"
She new.
"Of course! But how did y-"
"We were talking and I saw him looking at you and I said 'you like her don't you' and he said 'yes' so I said 'go over there and ask her on a date stupid!' And he was nervous and I talked him into it."
I hugged her.
"Thank you for being a good friend Danielle even tho we haven't known each other that long.
"No problem." She smiled and we both started walking to class.
I couldn't believe I was gonna have a date with Zach. Oh my gosh. Me and Danielle walked slow babbling about random things.
"Go away!" We heard a boy yell.
"Scared?" I heard Lucy say.
I walked around the corner and peeked my head out to see Lucy with a bunch of other kids beating up a skinny little boy. I hadn't seen him before but he looked my age.
"Stop!" I ran out.
"Oh you want some more?" They dropped the boy and Lucy and her friends started walking over. Danielle ran out behind me.
"Now no need for drama. Just let all of us go and no problem." Danielle grabbed my arm and tried to turn me.
"No."
Lucy and her 3 guys and 1 other girl started walking at me and Danielle. Neither of us moved. Then the little white boy jumped on one of the guys backs and all of then turned around. Danielle and I exchanged glances and a nod and kicked the girl and Lucy to the ground and jumped on the guys backs till they went to the ground. We managed to get of them to the ground in pain and us 3 took off.
We ran down a little hallway and into the janitors closet.
"There defiantly gonna kill us for that." Danielle said with a giggle and we all plopped onto the floor.
"Thank you so much. I'm James."
"I'm Lilly and that's Danielle. You really can fight. Did you take karate or something?"
"I don't even know what just happened." We all giggled.
Then we heard pounding on the door and we all jumped up.
"Open this door!" The janitor. Haha fail. We opened the door and said sorry then walked off.
"Do we have any classes with you?" I asked James. "Naw I don't think so. I'm in 7th."
"We are in 6th." I replied. "Well bye" I said walking into class.
"Well it was nice meeting you" I heard Danielle say in a flirty voice then walking into class.
"Danielle has a crush!" I jumped at her saying in a teasing way.
"No I do not!" She snapped back.
"Ok ok geez sorry, well come over today after school?"
"Okay" she said.
We both sat in our seats.

"Too bad no one can save you Lilly."
I was on the ground with blood around me and Lucy 2 boys and 3 girls were kicking me.
They beat me for about 15 min before they finally stopped and left me behind the school to bleed to death.
"Lilly!" I heard James run over. "What happened!"
"Lucy" I managed to say.
"Cmon" he pulled me to my feet. "Should I like call an ambulance?"
I shook my head no then started to limp off. "Can I give you a ride home? My mom wouldn't mind." I couldn't talk because they had kicked my head a few times pretty hard. I just nodded my head saying yes. "Th-thank you"
"No problem." A nice white blazer pulled up. "Mom can we take my friend Lilly home? She got beat up and missed her bus."
"Oh darling! Is she okay?"
"I think."
"Well of course we can. Cmon sweetheart." His mom rolled up the window and he helped climb into the car and sat in the back with me.
"Th-th-thank you.." I spit out.
"It's no problem sweety where do you live?"
I had to write it down and hand her the note.
"That's only 5 min from our house!" James said.
About half way home James said.
"Mom guess what Lilly did for me today."
"What's that?" His mom replied. They seemed pretty close.
"She stopped me from getting beat up."
"Aw thank you Lilly that was amazing of you!"
We finally arrived at my house. "Thank you so much." I could actually sorta talk now. I jumped out the car and limped up the driveway as they pulled out.
"Lilly?" Derrick called from the woods and ran over to me. "What in the hell happened!"
"Got beat up again."
"Who?"
"Doesn't matter."
"Tell me I'm gonna beat them up."
I just continued limping as I noticed a boy walking behind us.
"Oh Lilly. This is Tyler."
"Heyo" he had a deep voice.
