Hanamiya and [Last Name] were now at his house. He had been crying into shoulder ever since the hospital.
His sniffles had stop, and she started wondering if he had fallen asleep, until he murmured something.
"Shouldn't be at home right now?"
His voice, as to be expected, was hoarse.
[Last Name] shook her head. "It's fine. I think you need me more than my dad, anyway."
"[Last Name]?"
She hummed in response, rubbing his back absentmindedly.
"Do you mind bringing me some water?"
"Of course not."
Hanamiya moved off of her, setting himself with his back against the headboard.
[Last Name] navigated through the hallways and found the kitchen. She had only been in house once, but the home felt empty to her.
On the door of the fridge were various pictures held by magnets. There was a picture of Hanamiya and his mom. It looked as if she was trying to take a picture of the two of them with her phone. She had a big grin on her face while Hanamiya was scowling. [Last Name] cracked a smile at it.
Another picture was of Hanamiya as a kid. She assumed he was at least five. His hair was much shorter, and he had a genuine smile on his face.
[Last Name] opened up the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water. Returning to Hanamiya's room, she found him with his head resting on the headboard, eyes closed.
She smiled softly, setting the bottle on the end table next to the bed. She maneuvered him, and got him laying down on the bed. [Last Name] pulled up the covers, and afterwards turned the lights off and left.
