Three minutes until the bell would ring and she could finally leave this torture that the teachers referred to as 'tier time'. (*A/N for those of you that don't know, my school has a thing called tier time which is basically just a half hour at the end of the day where it's supposed to be a "structured study hall" more info at the end.) Gods how Annabeth wished she could make time move faster. Sadly that was a power reserved for the gods alone. So she sat at her desk, headphones in, and prayed to any god that would listen, for time to move faster.
Two minutes. Realizing her prayers would not turn ahead the clock, she turned them to a different purpose. Hoping Stephanie would be anywhere but her way outside.
One minute. By this time, Annabeth was exhausted. She loved school, sure, but that didn't mean it didn't make her tired. It was the day before Spring Break and she was looking forward to a week spent at camp with Percy and her friends.
The bell rang and Annabeth wasted no time leaping out of her seat and out the door. She rushed down the hallway hoping to beat Stephanie to the door. Although, that was nearly impossible. Annabeth had the sour luck of coming from the classroom at the end of the hall, on the second floor. While Stephanie had the class two rooms from the exit. Her and all her cruel friends. Annabeth could risk going out a side entrance, but if she didn't open one properly, it would set off the broken alarm. She would have been able to if the hallway wasn't already crowded with students, being watched closely by teachers. Most of the teachers stood at the door to their rooms but a few wandered with the flow of students. Those teachers happened to include Mrs. John. A teacher who hated all students and was widely hated in return. It was a wonder alone why she still had a job at the school.
Regardless she always had a special little hatred reserved especially for Annabeth. Sadly Annabeth had this teacher for English and Tier Time so since she left the classroom, this teacher followed Annabeth down the hall, just a few feet behind her, watching for any misstep that could give her a reason to call Annabeth out. So going out a side door was out. She would have to go out the front main entrance.
Annabeth was grateful when she felt Mrs. John's evil eyes leave her back to turn back to her classroom. Unfortunately, they were replaced by the sinister gaze of Stephanie.
The girl struck Annabeth as the spitting image of Drew. That is if Drew had brown hair, the worst spray tan in existence, and wore double the makeup.
"Hi Annabelle. I got you a date. Ya know, to replace that imaginary boyfriend of yours." Stephanie sneered, faking a southern accent. She motioned towards Todd, frequently referred to as 'Toad', he was, to put it bluntly, a nobody. While being a nerd, he hadn't made a real name for himself in anything. He didn't attend any clubs and stayed to the back of the classes. It didn't help that his face was covered in acne scars and his eyes always looked like he was waiting for another hit of whatever he was taking.
"Stephanie I told you before, I have a boyfriend." Annabeth growled, keeping her head low as she tried to duck outside.
Stephanie's spray tanned arm held her back. "Not so fast. You shouldn't have an attitude with me. It's so rude." She snarled the last part and Annabeth knew she was not leaving anytime soon.
Stephanie wrapped her arm around Annabeth's neck and walked her to the first row of lockers to slam her against them. Annabeth sunk to the ground as one of the other girls with Stephanie ripped her backpack away from her.
The lobby where they were was empty as everyone had already left. Stephanie took the bag from the other girl and opened it. She grinned evilly as she pulled out Annabeth's dagger. "A phone in school?" She asked. Annabeth relaxed slightly in relief that Stephanie had no idea what it really was.
"Thank the gods." She breathed, thankful that there was no chance that Stephanie was like her.
She pressed her finger against the dagger and sighed. "And its dead, oh Annabelle, what have you been doing?" She looked at Annabeth in disgust as her friends laughed.
Meanwhile, Annabeth was having trouble trying to figure out what was funny about a dead phone as Stephanie tossed her dagger aside so it clattered onto the floor. The girl reached in the bag again and pulled out a stack of Annabeth's books, both personal and school books.
"Nerd," Stephanie sneered and tossed the stack of books behind her causing them to scatter to the ground.
"Hey those are mine." Annabeth reacted and lunged forward to stand.
Stephanie stopped her by pushing one of her knock off Vans into Annabeth's chest. She crashed her back into the lockers behind her, her head slamming into the lock.
"Ahh," Annabeth gasped. She reached back where her head had met the lock and pulled it back, a small red stain on her fingers. Gods Annabeth wished she could hurt mortals. But Chiron had told her that it wasn't fair. That lesson was a part of her and there was no changing instinct.
"B-bye, Annabelle." Stephanie sneered, throwing Annabeth's now empty backpack into her chest. She turned only to stop when faced by a boy her age, with jet black hair and sea green eyes. "Hi. I'm Stephanie, are you new?" She asked him, her flirting clear.
He ignored it. "Annabeth, are you okay?" He asked, pushing past the girl's and pulling Annabeth back to her feet. He picked up the books and dagger and placed them back in her bag.
"I'm okay Percy." Annabeth smiled at him, grateful he had came.
Percy rounded on the girls. "How dare you." He yanked Annabeth's remaining book out of Stephanie's hands and glared at her. "Don't you ever lay a hand on my girlfriend again." He growled and the girls ran off.
"Thanks Seaweed Brain." Annabeth grasped his face and planted a kiss on his lips.
"You're hurt." Percy pulled his hand away from the back of her head, it was soaked in blood.
"Then let's go back to camp." She answered.
"You have got to stop getting injured at school." Percy smirked.
"It's not my fault mortals don't like me." She returned the smirk as they climbed on a black pegasus.
Annabeth gasped awake. Her breathing was heavy as she realized that it was all a dream. It couldn't possibly be real. Stephanie was and so was her school. But Percy would never come save her from there.
How could he? He's been dead for three years.

Muahahahahaha I just love putting in a few twists.
Anyway, thank you so much for the reads and votes!!!
As for the earlier note, sorry but this cues a rant, tier time is meant to be the last half hour where you can get help from teachers and have time to do work. But in reality it is a torturous half hour that no one likes. You are only allowed to leave your class on Thursdays and Fridays and that's only if you have a pass. Some kids are with a teacher they have in a class although most are stuck with a teacher that they wouldn't otherwise know. By the end of the day, everyone is already tired and sick of school it would be better if they just let us go home. But you can't leave unless you are a senior and you finished your portfolio which is a whole other problem that goes over the course of four years. And since the teachers take an ungodly amount of time to take attendance, you only have about fifteen minutes left. To make it worse, some of the teachers force you to do school work when most kids want to use that time to talk themselves out of killing everyone around them because of the stress. And just UGGGGGG!!!!!! Do ya know what I mean?
Anyway, Mrs. John is based on my teacher, Mrs. John, who is the worst teacher at my school. She absolutely hates me so whenever I speak in class she questions everything I say and makes me feel like an idiot but when someone else says the same thing, it's genius. I have a friend in that class and we are friends for the sole reason that we argue over the littlest things. We used to do this last year in business and the class across the hall could hear us. But anyway we're are pretty close and on the first day of school we warned Mrs. John that this probably would happen but we were still friends. Well we have only argued once since the year started and it was before class even started. But the teacher framed and pulled me and him over to ask us if we were friends and if we could not argue anymore. She also told us to stop talking so much in class. Well when either of us do talk, it's about the subject in class, and it's because she gave us a freaking B in class participation. Then when parent teacher conferences come up she tells the parents of everyone in the class (it's a small class about ten kids) that we talk constantly while she gives everyone a freaking B in class participation. Either way, she hates me and the feeling's mutual.
Okay rant over and I really needed that. Back to the book, in case you guys haven't noticed, updates are random...very random. Although I update randomly, I will update at least once a week.
See ya later!!
