Seto's Pov
I sobbed for what must've been the hundredth time, "this i-isn't ri-right," I said, I had not only lost my sister, but now my best friend, I had been there when he fell, had I been a little faster, he might still be here. I glanced up at the glowing headphones that sat on my desk, I had ran to the bottom of the cliff hoping to find him, all I found were the headphones, a knock on the door brought me out of my trance, "c-come in," I said, sadness etched on my face, "hey Seto," a sleep-deprived Adam said.
Ever since we lost Ty, Adam's been blaming himself, he and Ty had been arguing before Ty disappeared and after I had seen Ty fall and shown them, he hadn't slept. He wanted Ty's funeral to be perfect, well as perfect as a funeral can be, he hadn't slept in a while, and when I tried to put him to sleep he pushed me away. "So what's up?" I asked,wiping the tears off my face, "it's almost time, I came to a-ask, what are you gonna do w-with his hea-" I stopped him, "Simple, I'm going to place them in the coffin, since we have nothing else to bury, I figured they could at least symbolize him," I said, he nodded, I could see the tiredness in his eyes. "Are you sure you want to do this Adam?" "What do you mean?" "Adam your exhausted, you need to rest," "I'll rest after the funeral, he deserves this, he brought happiness to all those around him, and now he's gone," he started to cry softly, I've hardly seen Adam cry, but when he does, it's heart breaking. "I shouldn't have been so hard on him, had I at least tried to understand why he kept acting so rebellious then maybe h-he'd st-still be here," he started to sob even more than before, "it's not your fault Adam, it's no one's fault, we couldn't have predicted this would happen," I soothed, "st-still, I shouldn't h-have been so hard on him," I stood up and hugged the taller male. "Adam, listen to me, I know it's hard, but I promise we'll get through this," I hated saying those words, it felt like I was trying to forget my best friend, which I wasn't.
I will never let Ty's or Natalie's memories fade, "Seto?" "Huh?" Adam's voice snapped me back to reality, "why didn't you search for Ty?" I sighed, "I want to, but my magic mostly focuses on shields, or defense, I don't know tracking spells, the only one who did was Nat," I sighed, I was the shield of the kingdom, Nat was a boost in offense and a tracker. "If you want we can send out-" "no, I accepted Nat's disappearance, she and Ty are gone, the-they're n-never c-coming ba-back," I collapsed into Adam's chest, crying my eyes out, "hey, it's okay, everything will be okay, I promise Seto, I promise," he said hugging me, Adam's hugs were the best, it's like hugging a giant teddy bear. "Come on, we have a funeral to get to," he said, gently grabbing the headphones, and then gently grabbed my hand, time to let the world know that my best friend is gone.
