Ezra's POV
"Ezra!!" I hear kanan yell. I keep running.
I run all the way to my tower and when I get there I run inside. I slide down the wall, sitting on the floor. I pull my knees up to my chest trying to protect myself from all the dangers in the world even though I know I can't do that. I eventually cry myself to sleep. My cheek still stinging.
*3 days later*
kanan's POV
It's been 3 days since I slapped Ezra. Everyone is worried about me because I haven't come out of my cabin. I'm worried myself though. But not about myself, about Ezra. I know he lived on the streets for most of his childhood but that doesn't mean someone can't hurt him or try to take him. I hear a knock on my cabin door.
"Who is it?" I ask. "Love, it's me. Please open the door." Hera says. I sigh and open the door with the force. I see Hera standing in the doorway with a cup of coffee smiling.
"Hey Hera" I say sadly. She walks over to the drawer beside the bed and puts the cup of coffee down. She suddenly jumps on me making me hit my head against the floor. "Ow! Hera! What are you-" I then realize she's hugging me. Hugging me like I'm a 7 year olds favorite stuffed animal. (I have so many stuffed animal to the point that I named all of them and still remember all of their names😂) "Um, what's wrong?" I ask trying to get out of her grasp but she doesn't let me. "I found him." Was all she said. My eyes widened. She finally found him after 3 days of him being nowhere to be found. "You... You did?!" I ask surprised. Why didn't she tell me sooner?! She slightly nods but then I feel my shoulder becoming wet.
"Hera, what's wrong?" I get out of her grip and look into her blood shot red eyes. "He... He... H... He got..." "Shh... Calm down, everything will be okay. Just tell me." I say in a soothing voice while sending calming waves to her through the force. She starts to take deep breathes and begins again. "He's been kidnapped kanan... Someone from the phenix squadron saw him being taken out of his tower and into a ship." She begins to cry again. I sit there with many emotions. Frustrated, that I was the one who caused him to run. Afraid, of what they might do to him. And also determination, to go and get my son from whom ever took him.
I stand up from the ground and help Hera up with me. I hug her tightly and she hugs me back. I wipe her tears away with my thumbs softly and smile at her. I then whisper 5 words that made Hera smile widely. "Let's go find our son."
