But for Regina. Hearing Emma Swan, say I love you to her while on one knee, made her realize that she did not in fact love the precious blonde back.
"Will you Marry Me?" Emma asked in the midst of rose petals, candles, and the hope of a future.
Why me? Why did I get stuck in this position?
"E-Emma," she smiled sadly. "I can't. I can't marry you." The smile on the blondes face turned into a confused frown.
"Wh-what? Why?" She chuckled a little. Seeing the glass shatter in Emma's eyes made her grimace inside.
"Because." She slipped her hand out of her pocket, pulling her badge. "You're under arrest." Emma slowly stood up, she went to reach for her love or who she thought was her loved face. Her hands were ripped behind her back. Feeling the metal skin her wrists was nothing compared to the shock of what Regina said next.
"For the murder of Zelena and Robin Locksley. You have the right to remain silent anything you say can and will be used against you in...."
That moment ran through Regina's mind over and over as she downed glass of whiskey one after the other. Regina knew Emma from high school. She was the star or the girls basket ball, softball, and volleyball, teams.
When Emma moved back to Boston they went on a few dates, but then Regina got a case. And one of her suspects was Emma. So to get closer to Emma and get intel. She slept with her and made it seem like things were serious.
A part of Regina, did fall in love with the crazily cute blonde. But putting her away and testifying against her was almost hard we then when she was held hostage and almost died from her neck being slashed. Granted the slash never completed its way across her neck.
Subconsciously, the brunette rubbed the scar.
Tipping back the rest of the glass in her hand she felt some one sit next to her.
"Another, please." She said the the keep.
"Why don't I buy this one for you." The hairs on the back of her neck stood up, painfully a where of who was sitting next to her. She reached for her gun but the women next to her stopped her.
"No need for that, detective." She chuckled shortly.
"Emma. How did you-"
"Bail was posted over a year ago. But I waited a little before finding you. But I was absolutely sure you'd be here. Drowning yourself in liquor." Pulling out a .17 caliber, the blonde pointed the barrel at the woman's thigh. "We like it rough don't we?"
