"Here." I say handing Stiles the chow mien. He takes it. We've been at my place a lot, and by a lot I mean we have never been to his place.
We're sitting on the couch. His legs over my lap while we eat our Asian food, that's scattered in boxes all over the coffee table. We're watching The Amazing Spider Man.
The originals are better, in my opinion.
The movie ends and the credits are rolling. I mite the TV and face him. I smile as he slurps up another bite of his noodles.
"How come we never go to your house?" I ask and he chokes on noodles for a second.
"Uhmmmm..." He sets his food down.
"Well, we've never been and I'm curious as to what your room feels like."
"Looks."
"What?" I say.
"You said 'feels like.' You mean looks like." He says sitting up a bit more.
"No, I mean feels. Like what kinda vibe your room gives off." I remark kinda embarrassed. He just nods.
"My Dad's the Sheriff." He mumbles.
"And? I still want to meet him."
"No. You really don't." He corrects me.
"Why not?" I inquire.
"Well.... He.. Kinda..... Doesn't really.... Know that I'm gay....." He says hesitantly.
"Ohhhh. You're still closetted." I say. He looks at me weird. "It's okay, baby. We can tell him together."
"It's not that simple." He mutters shyly.
In that moment I knew. He didn't know if his dad accepted gays or not.
