Jade
Dinner was almost ready. The lasagna needed at least two more minutes in the oven. While I waited for it to get done, I made sure the table setting looked okay.
With two dark blue plates, two half-full wine glasses, a bottle of red wine from 1967, a bowl of salad and two napkins decorating the white table, the setting did look good. Pez would definitely approve.
"Jade!"
Perrie's angelic voice cut through the air. I immediately left my spot by the oven and jogged to our bedroom. Getting there, Perrie was leaning over the bed as saliva dripped from her mouth like a drooling dog.
"Oh my God, are you okay?" I asked anxiously.
"I threw up" she said, disgust lacing her voice.
"Don't worry about it. I'll clean it up" I said softly.
I jogged to the bathroom to get some towels, toilet paper, and a spray bottle. On my way back to the bedroom I made sure to bring a sick bucket, so Perrie could throw up in that instead of on the floor, which I mopped just yesterday.
"Thank God you came home early. I'd probably let the vomit lay on the floor if I had been here alone" Perrie said.
"If you hadn't cleaned it up right away, I'd blame you for the rest of our lives for the parquet floor you ruined in our first home we bought together" I said calmly.
"Think I could live with that."
Perrie shrugged, as she always did whenever she had a meaningless conversation. I ripped off a piece of toilet paper and gave it to her. The saliva dripping from the corners of her mouth started to disgust me.
Being well aware of that the floor wouldn't clean itself (sadly), I got down on all four and began to take care of the smelly light brown/white liquid.
First of all I removed the chunks. Once they were taken cared of, I sprayed down the vomit with cold water, and then I dabbed it with one of the black towels I brought with me from the bathroom.
After approximately three minutes of spraying and dabbing, the vomit was all cleaned up. I grabbed everything I had used and walked back to the bathroom to throw the towels in the laundry and the used paper in the trash can.
Then I washed my hands as carefully as possible, wanted to get rid of the smell of vomit just as much as I wanted to feel clean again.
"Definitely the most disgusting thing I've done today" I said.
I dried my hands on a clean towel, afterwards I turned off the light and made my way back to my girl.
Now, even though she just had thrown up, I really longed after a kiss. With her being sick, there wasn't much time for us to hang out considering she only had energy to stay awake for a few minutes.
"There you are, thought you had died in the bathroom."
"Oh, really?"
Before she had any chance to reply, I cupped her face with my hands and pressed my lips against hers.
"Babe...I've...just...thrown...up" she said in between the kisses.
I just kept kissing her, ignored whatever she had to say. Right now all I wanted was to kiss my girl, since it had been a good while since last time I had felt her lips against mine.
My hands traveled down her spine as we kissed. Every now and then she moaned into my mouth, made me long for her even more.
"Jade?"
Now it was Perrie's turn to cup my face as she pulled away from my kiss. Looking into her dreamy ocean blue eyes, I could see concern shining in them.
"What is it?" I asked softly.
"Weren't you in the middle of cooking dinner?" She asked.
Shit!
"Me lasagna!"
I'd been so caught up in Perrie I forgot I had lasagna in the oven. Goddammit, now we would have burnt food for dinner.
Not wanting to burn the place down, I rolled off my girlfriend's body and ran to the kitchen. By the time I got there, the windows were foggy from the smoke that seemed to get worse with each passing second.
As I threw the oven-door open, burning hot smoke slapped me in the face, resulting in me letting out a pained squeal.
"Everything okay here, babe?"
"Everything's fine, just sit down."
I put on a red pair of cooking mitts, then I grabbed ahold of the lasagna form and took it out of the oven.
"How does it look?" Perrie asked curiously.
"A little burnt, but I think it'll taste just fine" I said kindly.
I walked to the table to get our plates. Back by the counter, where I had put the lasagna, I cut two pieces in the form of a square and put them on our plates. Thereafter I walked back to the table where my beautiful girl was waiting for the food to arrive.
"There you go, honey" I said lovingly.
"Mmm, looks delicious even though it's a little burnt" Perrie said kindly.
"I'll pay for pizza if this turns out to be uneatable" I smiled.
Perrie smiled back. A bit of my heart melted. Everytime she smiled or laughed or just showed any sign of happiness, my heart grew two sizes bigger.
There was something about her that made me love her more and more with each day. Maybe it was because she was my source of happiness and light, maybe it was because I just loved her so damn much.
Either way I was incredibly lucky to have her by my side. Without her I would never had managed to get through the tough days at work, and I definitely wouldn't be as happy as I was.
"I want to make a toast, for you" I said softly.
"Alright, let's hear what you have to say" Perrie smiled.
"Well, I just wanted to say that I am one hell of a lucky woman to have you by my side. People like you are rare. So, cheers for a great girlfriend" I said lovingly.
"Cheers, baby" she giggled.

After dinner, we decided to watch a movie we could relax to before it was time for bed. Much to my dissatisfaction, Perrie had chosen IT, which was the worst movie possible for people who were absolutely terrified of clowns.
"I can't believe you're making me watch this, Pez" I said.
"You need to get rid of your fear of clowns" she said.
"No, I don't. What I need is Leigh-Anne's sleeping pills, 'cause they'll be the only thing that can help me sleep after this" I muttered the last part to myself.
Perrie didn't seem to hear. She was too into the movie. Normally I would walk out of the room and do something else, but since she was sick I didn't have the heart to leave her all alone.
As the movie went on, and we reached the small hours, I felt the urge to turn the telly off and go to bed.
And since Perrie was sound asleep on my lap, she wouldn't care if I finished the movie or not. So I grabbed the remote from the coffee table and pressed the off-button.
Once the screen was black, an eerie silence occured in the living room, made it feel as if someone was in here with us, watching us in the dark.
I wrapped my arms around Perrie's limp body and lifted her up. The moment we got to the bedroom, I put her down on the bed.
I tucked her in neatly, as my mam always did when I was younger, then I leaned in and placed a soft kiss on her feverish forehead.
"See you tomorrow, love. Sweet dreams" I whispered.

Chapter 2 :D writing surely is therapy. And it's a good way to relax after a busy day. Tomorrow I'm having my maths finals, so I'll probably be sleepless because I'm nervous as hell...
Next chapter will probably be up by tomorrow night or Friday, totally depends on how much time I have after I've finished my school work.
Well well, it's the middle of the night and even though I probably won't get much sleep, I still need to rest. I'll read through the chapter tomorrow and edit all the errors, but until then, I hope you'll enjoy your read.
Lastly, I'd really appreciate if you leave a vote or comment. Have a good night or day or morning, wherever you are :)
