*Nikita's P.O.V.*
I jumped out of the car as soon as it came to a stop. I heard a noise coming from the same side of the house as Niall's bedroom window.
"Nikita, you shouldn't get out of a car until it's turned off. It's not safe to jump out of a moving vehicle like that" Harry said, following me.
I turned the corner to see a large guy in a black hoodie punching Niall, who was covered in blood.
The guy in the black hoodie ran off when he saw us. Harry chased after him as I ran to where Niall was lying.
I knelt down beside him as he groaned in pain.
"Niall, are you okay? What happened?"
"I was sneaking out of my window and he came out of nowhere and attacked me" he told me.
"That's Marcus?" I asked, Niall nodded in response.
"Fuck! I lost him" Harry said, out of breath.
"Harry, call the police and an ambulance" I told him.
"Alright"
"I don't need an ambulance, I'll be fine" Niall said.
"You're covered in blood, we need to get you to a hospital" I replied. He groaned in response.
"The police and the ambulance are on their way. Should I let Niall's parents know what's going on?" Harry asked.
"Yeah, that would probably be a good idea"
"My parents are gonna be so freaked out" Niall stated.
"Niall! Are you okay?" Niall's parents exclaimed, appearing by his side.
"I'm fine" he said, forcing a smile even though he was clearly in pain.
It wasn't long before the ambulance showed up, the cops weren't far behind. Niall and his parents were brought to the hospital in the ambulance and the cops asked Harry and I what happened.
Afterwards, we were free to go while they started searching for Marcus.
"Can we go see Niall in the hospital?" I asked Harry.
"I'll take you in the morning. You probably won't be able to visit him until then anyway"

"Hey, Niall" I greeted, walking into his hospital room.
"Hey, Nikki"
"How are you feeling?"
"I've been better" he told me.
"Have the cops found Marcus yet?"
"Not yet, they're still looking"
"How long are you gonna be in the hospital?"
"I'm not sure, I think a week. I've gotta have surgery on my knee tomorrow" he told me.
"He fucked your knee up that badly?"
"No, it's an old football injury. When he attacked me I landed weird, making it worse" he replied.
"Did you tell your parents why you were sneaking out?"
"They certainly were curious" he chuckled.
"Were they mad?"
"A little"
"Are you grounded?"
"No, they're more concerned about my injuries than punishing me" he replied. "There's something I need to tell you" he added quietly.
"What?"
"Over the past few weeks I've been really stressed out wondering when Marcus was going to find me and what he would do when he did. I needed some way to relieve my stress. I managed to get my hands on a razor blade and I relapsed" he confessed.
"When?"
"About a week ago. It's so hard to just quit, especially when you've been doing it for years. The fucking stress made it pretty much impossible" he told me.
"Trust me, I know. I just wish you would've said something sooner"
"I know, I'm sorry"
"It's okay, we'll get through this"
