Two weeks later and Tasha was thirty five weeks pregnant. It was the day of the annual pack party and was the hottest day of the year. She didn't know how she would survive the party until six that afternoon, but she had to try. Since Drake was future Alpha and she was the future Luna, it was something they were both required attend.
Sitting on the couch, she watched the twins kick at her stomach. They kicked so much her stomach moved with each kick. She thought she looked hideous in a bikini and had begged Drake to let her wear a shirt and shorts in the pool. But he'd told her she looked beautiful, so she wore her neon pink and black zebra print bikini.
Grabbing her sunglasses off the table beside the door, she slid them onto her head before grabbing her phone. Drake waited out in the car.
"Do we have to go? What if I go into labor or something? It's too damn hot and I'm irritable and tired," she whined.
"Yes we have to go, you know that. You're allowed to be irritable and tired, you are pregnant," he squeezed her hand as he drove to his parents'.
Drake pulled up in front of Rose and Justin's and there were cars everywhere. But, being pregnant and future pack leaders had it's perks. There was a spot for Drake to park right in the front. She got out of the car and walked into the house.
"Tasha, you look beautiful today," Kat smiled, opening the door. Elizabeth smiled up at Tasha from Kat's arms.
"Thank you, Kat. I'm irritable and tired today, and it's too damn hot," Tasha sighed, fanning her face with her hands.
"Well, let's go get in the pool," Kat said as Emily came into the room with a handful of towels.
"You're not going swimming are you?" Drake asked as Tasha laid her towel on a lounge chair in the shade.
"I thought about it, why?" She asked.
"Well, what if something happens?" He asked, his voice full of concern.
"Drake, what will happen with all these people around? I'll be fine. We're bringing Elizabeth in the pool. Stop worrying," she smiled.
"All right, I just worry about you. I'll be watching you though." He kissed her lips before she sat on the edge of the pool and dipped her feet into refreshing water.
She knew he would dive in if something happened to her. Sliding into the pool helped soothe her aching back. Her body relaxed from the cool water. Tasha let out a long sigh of relief and closed her eyes. Letting out a sigh of relief, she closed her eyes.
Emily swam over to Tasha and laid her hand on Tasha's belly. The twins went crazy the second Tasha had gotten in the water. She smiled at Drake, and he stepped to the edge of the pool. Emily smiled and splashed her brother playfully.
"What's wrong?" He asked. He looked at Emily, "Don't splash me Em."
"Nothing. Bend down and let me see your hand," Tasha reached for Drake's hand and placed it on her stomach.
"I've never felt them this active," his eyes widened and a smiled formed on his lips.
"I know, they love the water as much as I do," Tasha smiled.
Tasha swam up behind Elizabeth and tickled her feet before Kat turned her around to see Tasha. Elizabeth floated in her baby boat with her feet hanging out the bottom. She also had floats on each arm. Elizabeth smiled when she saw Tasha and kicked her feet, her arms splashing in the water. Tasha smiled at how much fun Elizabeth was having. Tasha swam around, pushing Elizabeth in front of her before Kat took Elizabeth out of the pool.
A sharp pain shot through Tasha's back and she got out of the pool and laid on one of the lounge chairs in the sun. The pain came again as she tried to get comfortable. She sat up fast as her water broke. She looked around panicking, her eyes wide. She scanned the faces around her for Drake, but didn't see him anywhere. Kat looked at Tasha, and she knew Kat had seen what happened. Kat's eyes widened, and she stood up.
"Go find Drake, now," Tasha told Kat as she tried to stand.
Kat handed Elizabeth to Nick and ran to find Drake while Emily helped Tasha stood and walked into the house. Emily ran upstairs to get fresh clothes for Tasha while Tasha took a quick shower to rinse herself off. She took deep breaths when the contractions would hit. They weren't close together yet, but they were coming faster and closer together. It wouldn't be long before they got even and closer together.
Jewels stood in the bushes, watching Tasha go into labor. She couldn't believe Drake fell for such a pathetic human. Shaking her head, she rolled her eyes as she pulled her cell phone out of her pocket. She dialed a number and held the phone to her ear, "the babies will be born today or tomorrow." She hung up and replaced her phone to her pocket before heading back to where she came from.
Tasha stepped out of the shower. Drake stood beside the bathroom door and reached out to help her. "What happened?"
"Well, my water broke, and my contractions aren't even or close yet. But..." She stopped as a strong contraction hit, making her grab her stomach. "We need to get to the hospital... Now," she yelled. Drake helped her get dressed and picked her up into his arms, carrying her to the car.
Kat and Emily went with Drake and Tasha. Kat had called Rose to let her know what had happened, and that they were all headed to the hospital. Tasha was glad Rose hadn't wanted to go to the hospital until after the babies were born. She didn't know what she would have done with more people in the room with her.
Drake pulled up to the hospital and Kat jumped out to get Tasha a wheelchair from inside the door. Tasha was glad the diaper bags and the car seats were in the car. Drake carried the diaper bags and Kat wheeled Tasha to maternity.
Tasha didn't even have time to get settled into her room, the doctor, Rachel, came in and checked to see how far along she was. It was time to bring her to the delivery room.
"Tasha, you ready?" Rachel asked, slipping on a pair of gloves.
Tasha nodded, and Rachel instructed her what to do.
"Okay, when a contraction comes, I want you to push while I count to ten. When I get to ten, I want you to relax until another contraction comes. Do you understand?"
"Yes," she pushed as a contraction came. Kat and Emily each held one of her legs and Drake held her hand.
After fifteen minutes of pushing, Bryce Derek Williams, was born. He had blonde hair and bright blue eyes, like his daddy. Drake let go of Tasha's hand to cut the umbilical cord, and the nurse cleaned out his nose and eyes before handing him to Drake. She kissed Bryce before another contraction hit.
Five minutes later, Mckenzie Elizabeth Williams was born. She had blonde hair and darker blue eyes. She was perfect. Both of the babies were gorgeous. Drake cut the umbilical cord while the nurse wiped Mckenzie's eyes and cleaned out her nose before Rachel laid her on Tasha's chest.
"Hey Mckenzie, I'm your mommy. You're so beautiful, I'm so happy to finally hold you." Tasha said as tears of happiness streamed down her face. “I love both you and your brother so much already," she kissed Mckenzie's forehead.
"I'll bring you back to your room now. Do you want to hold your babies while I push you back?" Rachel asked.
Tasha nodded and Rachel placed Bryce in Tasha's other arm. Her lips grazed their soft heads while Rachel pushed the bed back to the room, Tasha smiled. She was a proud mom, and nothing would ever change the way she felt about her babies.
"Let me see my niece and nephew," Emily said as the bed was put back into place in the room.
"Tasha needs to feed them than you can hold them," Drake told Emily.
"Okay, Kat and I will call and let mom and dad know while we go down to the gift shop," Emily smiled.
Drake shut the door behind his sisters and took Bryce from Tasha's arms. "Come see daddy."
Tasha positioned Mckenzie gain at her chest so Mckenzie could eat for the first time. She lifted her gown and placed Mckenzie on her nipple the way she had read about so many times.
"Wow, it's rare to see a newborn latch on like that," Rachel comments with a smile.
"She's just like her daddy," Drake chuckled.
"Don't be a pervert Drake, or I'll have to tell the Alpha," Rachel laughed.
Tasha looked up. She hadn't known Rachel knew about the pack. "Wait, what?" She asked, confused.
"Rachel is in the pack. I thought I told you," Drake said.
"No, you didn't mention it," she said looking back down to her daughter.
"That's why I knew so much about you," Rachel said.
"Oh, that explains it," she smiled.
