"What about this one?" Vanessa asked pointing to a tattoo, it was cursive that said "scars show ones true story." I smiled and nodded.
"That's the one." Vanessa loved the idea of getting a tattoo that described my pain. I had gone through a lot in the six or seven months that had passed since my mother death. I was excited as we booked an appointment and hugged each other happily.
•one month later•
The last bell of the year rang as I sprinted out screaming with a bunch of my classmates. We only had one more year of school. Being 2020 graduates. I was so excited as I hugged Lin and Vanessa. They laughed as we all walked back to the car. I had finally began to show my scars to the world and I got so much respect but also hate but I didn't mind. People just hated on me to make me feel worse. Lucas had finally gotten arrested after they found drugs in his pockets during school and I had finally collected the urge to say all the nasty things he said to me. I explained everything. He would never see me in person again. He wasn't allowed. Plus he was going to be in jail for forty years on counts of Stalking, Attempted murder and Illegal drug usuage and trafficking. He also sexually harassed a girl in my Spanish class who moved back to Spain yesterday. I waved goodbye to Tyra as she went in her car with Yvonne, London gave me a hug.
"See you in three months."
I waved as all my friends drove off. We never hung it over summer because Tyra would go to Venezuela and London went to Ireland. Yvonne also had a movie to shoot this summer so I didn't mind. When we got home I laid on the couch with Sebastian and we talked about anything and everything. I realized this is what a normal life was supposed to feel like. This is what it was supposed to feel like. I wish I always had this.
