-----------------------------------------------------I woke up by the sound of my deafening alarm. I rolled over and hit the snooze button. The bright screen on my phone sent a pain in my eyes as I frowned. Jake had messaged me.
Jake: Hey, maybe we should hang out and sort out things? Fans are going crazy about all this hate, haha.
I stared in the mirror and rubbed my eyes which had mascara smudged underneath them. My hair was a mess so I snatched the brush and started to brush it quickly. I brushed my teeth and then threw on a lilac short top which showed my belly button. Along with some skinny jeans. I put on some matching lilac heels which were beautiful. I unhurriedly texted Jake back:
Me: Hey, sure I'll be there.. but what about team ten? I'll meet you at the Grove?
I quickly swung open my apartment door and locked it. As I ran down the stairs, the usually echoing hallway was strangely quiet. I walked out side in the bright sunshine to a crowd of fans.
"Alissa!! We love you so much! Can we have an autograph?" I heard someone say. My mouth dropped as I stood, confused.
"Um, yes sure." I shook my head, stopping myself from daydreaming. "Sorry guys, I love you all so much, but I must get going.." I finished signing a teenage brunette's notebook.
I barged past them and ran as fast as I could in my heels. I got an uber to the grove as I noticed that it was 10:49am.
Five minutes later, I arrived at the grove and I saw him. Jake was standing near the fountain. He wore his light pink zebra print jacket with a white top and black jeans. I stared at him as he was on the phone to someone.
"Hello? Money." The uber snapped at me as he waved his hand in my face.
"Oh sorry." I gave him the money as I didn't take my eyes off Jake. I threw the cab door open and slammed it shut as I walked over to him. He caught my eye; he put his phone in his pocket as he walked over to me.
"Hey, how are—"
Jake kissed me on the lips as I felt electricity flow through my body. The kiss would've lasted longer than five seconds but I tightly squeezed his hands.
"I'm good thanks how are you?" Jake smiled. I wrapped my hands around him as he lifted me up.
"Oh my god I missed you so much!" He put me down. Suddenly there was awkward silence.
"Erika..." I looked away; I had forgotten all about Jake's 'wife'.
"I texted her before you came; were not together anymore." I looked at his sad brown eyes. I could tell he desperately wanted to be with me.
"Listen.." he took my hand, "It's either you pick me, or FaZe Banks."
"Hmm." I thought carefully. Decisions, decisions..
