Deetranada P.O.V.
It'd been a while since I confessed. I felt good honestly, but I was still in trouble. I still continued to talk to Juan regularly just so he would not suspect anything. I talked to Ann once she came back from her trip too. I didn't tell her all that happened while she was gone but I knew she could tell something was up just from my whole demeanor.
I really wasn't talking to no one. Sage ain't talk to me yet either. We saw each other around the house but we never said anything to each other. I never went by The Joint, either. I was hella bored, but I enjoyed the time I had to myself. I knew all that would change, at the latest, once New Year's Eve came upon us. I had a lot on my mind, and that was the time to think about it all.
A couple days before New Year's, Sage walked in the house, around 9pm. He walked upstairs and walked passed my room, but then walked back and came in.
"I ain't talked to you in a minute, what's been up?" He asked at the doorway.
"Nothing." I answered, laid back in my bed, watching my snaps.
"I spoke to dad when I went to New York. I just came back actually." Sage said.
"What he say?" I asked, already knowing the answer.
"He just made sure everything with his clubs was going alright. He also said he gon' cut yo pay for what you did. What really happened?"
"Jamon told you already."
"Nah, I could tell that was some complete bullshit. Even if he did know, he wouldn't not tell you what to do about it."
"I was in his room looking at his posters. I heard someone walk in and I thought it was Mani so I said, 'Mani check out this dude posters.' I turn and I seen Juan looking straight at me. He asked who I was, and I punched him and shot at him. I saw him at that party you told me not to go to. He was in a wheelchair and apparently, Jamon knew him. J told me what happened and I remembered it was him. I told Juan the party was about to get shot up cause he was in a wheelchair and I felt like I owed him. Then he transferred to Temp, and remembered me. I swear to God Sage, I tried my best to stay away. I just kept feeling like I owed him, and now I really like him and shit."
"How'd Jamon find out?" Sage asked.
"I told him."
"I'm just gonna forget the part where you mistakenly called Mani by his real name and tell you Dad wants Juan dead." He said.
After registering what he said, I froze and bit my lip hardly. He sighed and walked over to me and sat on my bed beside me. He plopped his legs on my bed after kicking his shoes off.
"I knew that nigga Juan was familiar. I'm sorry about this shit though." Sage said rubbing my back.
"Could you leave?" I asked, politely.
He gave me a sympathetic look and got up from the bed.
"Love you." He said as he picked his shoes up, walked out, and shut the door.
I was too distraught to even answer.

The first time Jamon hit me up was a couple days before a New Year's Eve party. He said it was gonna be the party of the year and the party to kick off 2017.
I finally decided to go to The Joint, since I had to cause we were discussing the plan of our shootout, which would be soon. After that, I just decided to stay.
"Yo, J.I., shit was outta pocket the other day. I shouldn't have spoke about ya moms but I'm posed to be able to get under people skin like that. But I admit I went hella far and I shouldn't have went that far considering we're on the same team." Sage apologized.
"Were you serious about you said?" He asked.
Sage chuckled. "I ain't into older women."
"You better have been joking, but we good." J.I. dapped Sage.
"Awwww." Jamon said rubbing J.I.'S hair.
J.I. pushed Jamon off him. "Y'all come to the warehouse with me to set the vans up." Sage stood up.
We all agreed to go and stood up. Everyone got into their cars. Jamon was in his and I ran over to him before he could shut the door.
"Thanks for covering for me. He knew you was bullshittin though." I said.
"It ain't nothin," He grinned. "You and Sage cool now?"
"Yeah" I shrugged.
"You talked to Ann yet?"
"Yeah." I shrugged.
Dry ass conversation, am I right, I thought.
"Is that all?" He asked.
"Yeah." I said caught off guard.
I walked off to my car slowly. "You want a ride or some?"
"I mean, I guess." I said acting uninterested.
"You coulda asked, girl. And don't put up that stupid ass front." Jamon laughed.
I laughed and locked my car. Everyone had drove off, except Key who was staring at us. He rolled his windows down.
"Don't mind me and Mani. We just sipping this scorching hot tea, ain't that right Mani?" Key asked looking back.
"Nah nigga, you shouldn't have said nothing, they was just about to do some." Mani yelled from the back.
Jamon honked the horn at him. "Get yo big head on, lil boa'."
Key put up our sign and sped off.
"They some fools." Jamon said with a laughed.

We got to the warehouse and unloaded the truck with our guns and silencers. We got our masks and we got a duffle bag filled with money that we'd give to the people we were meeting. We got our usual all black gear and new bullet proof vests and tried them on. We discussed the game plan and that was that.
Nobody came back to The Joint except Jamon and I so I could get my car.
"You coming to the party right?" Jamon asked.
"You already asked me about that, remember. Yeah, I'm coming." I laughed, coming out of the car.
"You better be." Jamon said coming out with me.
He was trailing behind me and right when I almost got my car, he yanked my arm and pulled me to him. We were chest to chest and I didn't even notice cause I was caught off guard.
"You wasn't expecting that, huh?" He held me.
"Boy move, I probably woulda hit you if I ain't know you was behind me." I said lowly, slightly pushing him.
"So wassup wit me and you, you just gon' keep me on the side or some shit like that?" Jamon asked.
I didn't answer. "Oh, so that's how it's gon' be, Dee? Wow," He laughed. "I guess I could dig that, I been keeping females on the side for years, it'd be nice to see what it's like on the other side and shit."
I looked up at him weirdly, and he took advantage of that and kissed me.
