Kacine's pov
I walked into my first period math class with my best friend Samantha. Samantha and I sat on the left side of the room in the middle of the classroom, that the teacher had assigned us last Friday. Every Friday of the last month we get new assigned seats. Luckily I was sitting next to Samantha for the next month.
As I pulled out my notebook, the final bell rings. The door then swings open. I took a look at the person who came into class five seconds late. Taylor Gavin. "Sorry sir, jammed locker." She says, makes her way towards the middle of the classroom in the row next to mine, where she was assigned her seat.
Yes!! Perfect view. I thought. You're probably wondering why I say I have a perfect view. Well, see here's the thing, I have this huge crush on Taylor. The only problem is, is that Taylor's a girl. But at least it's easier for me to crush on her now 'cause she's openly gay and I'm bisexual. The only people who know about me being bisexual is my parents, and they accepted me. Well, it sort of took my dad some time to adjust, but he's okay now.
It kind of pains my heart to see Taylor sometimes. She always has some sort of mark indicating that she's been hurt and I know it. For example, the scratch on her face. She probably made up the locker situation. She was probably attacked by someone in the hallway. There's a lot of people in this school who without a doubt hate homosexuals. Just the other day she was getting bullied in the cafeteria by some jock, just for being gay in general. I could never survive the pressure of people bullying me like that. But that's the thing I admire about her the most, is that she's out and proud and doesn't really care what anyone says or does to her. Even if she-
"Ms. Leonardo!!" I jumped in shock. My thoughts were interrupted when Mr.Nixon shouted my name. He must've been calling my name for some time now, 'cause he definitely looked pissed off right now. Shit, I really need to stop zoning out in class, I thought.
"Yes, Mr. Nixon?" I asked cautiously. Everyone had their eyes on me. Oh Gosh, even Taylor was staring at me!! But not in a way I would want her to. She just had a blank stare looking at me like everyone else.
Mr. Nixon took a deep breath. "Can you please pay attention." He demanded, but in a calmer voice. I nodded my head 'yes'. "Okay, thank you. Now as I was saying..."
I felt Samantha tap my thigh. I looked her way. She slid a piece of notebook paper towards me. I looked down at the paper and read...
Are you okay? Ever since school started you've been visiting la la land. You know I'm here for you, whatever the situation.
P.S. I don't judge ;-)
Lord, what would I do without Samantha? She's my best friend and she is always there for me. I looked at her and gave her a warming smile. She returned the smile.

Samantha's pov
As Kacine and I sat down on the left side of the room as assigned, I pulled out my math notebook. The bell rings."Okay, class lets start off with the basics." Mr. Nixon announced.
I turned my head to the right and caught Kacine staring at Taylor, again. She's been staring at her since school started. Maybe Kacine has some sort of crush on her. Maybe Kacine's bisexual or even gay. She might just be playing straight, after all she has never dated any boy known to man kind. I should know, I grew up with her. She lives in my neighborhood, too. She probably hasn't came out to me yet because she's afraid and she'll probably think I won't accept her. I don't blame her, I would be afraid, too. She's a cheerleader, which means she's popular and plus she is a very pretty girl.
Mr. Nixon wrote down a problem on the white board. I re-wrote the problem onto my notebook. Mr. Nixon scanned the room. Oh, Jesus he's looking for someone to call on to answer the question. He's most likely to call on someone who's not paying attention. Which will most likely be Kacine. I thought.
"Kacine." And I was right. "Would you mind solving this problem? "Mr. Nixon asked in a calm voice. Kacine for one, didn't answer. "Kacine." He said a little bit louder. "Kacine." Really, Kacine? You can't here the man calling your name? "Ms. Leonardo!!" He yelled. Kacine then jumped in her seat.
Kacine shot a scared look towards Mr. Nixon. "Yes, Mr. Nixon?" She asked cautiously.
Mr. Nixon took a deep breath. "Can you please pay attention." He said in a more calm voice. Kacine nodded her head 'yes'. I ripped out a piece of notebook paper and wrote...
Are you okay? Ever since school started you've been visiting la la land. You know I'm here for you, whatever the situation.
P.S. I don't judge ;-)
With that said, I tapped on Kacine's thigh. She looked at me and I then slid the note onto her desk. After reading the note, she turned back to me and gave me a smile. I then returned the same smile.

Taylor's pov
Ugh, when can this math class be over already? I thought. I just wish math didn't even exist. Math needs to go solve it's own problems, 'cause this shit is killing my brain from processing right.
For example, I could've sworn Kacine was staring at me!! Which I could be wrong. See? Not processing right. Kacine is one of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen. She has dirty blonde hair that goes down to the middle of her back. Brown chocolate eyes that makes you want to melt right there on the spot. Oh, and how could I forget?!?! She's a fuckin' cheerleader!! And may I say she has the perfect curves to go with her tight uniform.
To bad she's straight though. I turned my head to the left to catch a glimpse of the beautiful Kacine Leonardo. No way!! Was she already staring at me?! I thought. She quickly snapped her head down towards her paper and started working on a math problem in her notebook.
Hhmm, maybe she wasn't even staring at me. She was probably staring at Caleb. After all he is sitting in the seat in front of me. He's also the quarterback for the school's varsity football team. And he's head captain. He could get any girl he wanted, even Kacine.
Damn, I just wish that I could go right over to where she's sitting and start up a conversation. But I can't. The only time I actually talked to her was when we were both on the school's soccer team. And trust me when I say it was hard not to stare at her in her shorts that couldn't even reach her mid thigh if they wanted to.
I suddenly felt a tap on my left shoulder. I turn my head and looked up. Whoa, my heart just skipped a beat.
