I walk in the changing room to change into shorts and a T-shirt.
"How do you know we have a inside pool?" Corbin asked not even changing since he already has gym shorts and a T-shirt on.
"There's a map on the middle cabinet in the kitchen." I hear his feet move in the white fluffy carpet. I finally got done changing into my red gym shorts and white T-shirt that has a bikini under it.
"You do know the pool is on the ninth floor right? Have you forgotten about the zombies?"
"Dude, this place is like a jail! It's fully secured. I doubt there's even a zombie on the first floor. Now...c'mon! Grab a towel from the changing room." I told him.
I walk towards the elevator and wait for Corbin to come back and type in the pass code. I swish my head to see the window.
"Crap!" I yell quietly to myself. I watch the setting sun blaze over the thin horizon. I feel a soft wind chill up my back just thinking about the gentle night sky that used to reign above me, but no longer exists. Shivers roll up against my spine. I shake off the cold and look at the purple sky.
"Lets go" Corbin yelled. He runs to the pad lock, feeling pretty...confident?
"Do you want to go to sleep first? I mean look outside. It's dark and cold. We can go in the morning after breakfast. Wait, we haven't even ate dinner!" I realized.
"Yeah, I guess your right. Do you want dinner, or do you wanna go to bed?"
"Eh, I'll just have a piece of ham." I throw my towel on the chair and open the fridge to get a thin piece of cold ham.
I feel cold hands reach my waist as I d'ivoire the ham. I could tell it was Corbin because of his big hands. Corbin pulls me back against him and holds me. His chin sits on my head and his hands wrapped around my waist. "To be honest," I thought. "I think I can get used to this."
"Do you think we'll run out of..." Corbin looks around and thinks for a second "a two-year supply of food?"
"In a year probably." I reply. I finally finished the rest of my ham slice and I think Corbin noticed...
Corbin pulls me straight back while I drag my feet, grabbing his arms trying not to fall. He bumps into the bed and picks me up. He throws himself across the white bed, bringing me back with him. He lays on his left side pulling me in closer. My back is facing his stomach. "Good thing he can't see my face." I start to think. "I'm terrified. I don't know why since I feel safe around him."
"Night." He said falling asleep slowly.
"Night." I closed my eyes trying to fall asleep, but images fly through my head."SLEEP!" I yelled at myself. (In my mind.) My eyes get heavier and heavier.
