"Lilly listen to me, I do not want you to be with Dom."
"Mom, is this a joke?"
"No Lilly it is not. I don't want him to take advantage of you."
"I'm gonna need 1000 more reasons why I shouldn't be with him."
"Lilly he is going to pressure you into doing things that you don't want to do."
"Dom would never do that," I was getting mad. "Why would you assume something like that?"
"I am your mother Lilly, you should obey everything I say."
"Mom I am 28 years old! I can and WILL make my own decisions." Then I ran out the door. I just needed to be away from her. I drove not even knowing where I was going to go. Tears were rolling down my cheeks and onto my steering wheel. It was dark out and I almost crashed into a car because I was so distracted. I saw the gleam of a rainbow light then noticed that it was the Toronto sign.
There seemed to be no one there, which was super rare, so I sat down on the ground and I just broke down. I bawled my eyes out until I could barely breathe. Then I heard some footsteps and I looked up. I saw a man walking out of shadows so I stood up. It was Dom. He ran over to me and he gave me a long kiss.
"Dom, how did you know I was here?" Could you just sense it because we are meant to be or something?"
"No I just went on Find My iPhone."
"You're so cute baby." Then I told him everything that happened and at the end I started crying again.
"Baby, it's okay. Don't cry, don't cry. Then he wiped away my tears and he softly brushed the back of his hand on my cheek. We ended that night with a kiss in front of the Toronto sign.
