The next day, I wake up really early so that I can take a stroll in the meadow with some of my friends before school. Amaryllis, Jess and Taylor, my best friends, went with me. It was really cold and windy, but the meadow is full of flowers and trees, and that's probably why.
"So, have any of you... Broke the rules and entered the woods?" Taylor asks. "Well, once, Katniss brought me there and tried to teach me how to hunt."I say. "Really?" Jess, Taylor and Amaryllis all say at once. "But when I successfully shot an animal, I broke down, and then I was saying how it could be healed. Crazy, right?" I say. "Well, for a girl who eats what her sister shoots, yes." Jess says. "Kinda." Amaryllis says. "Well, okay, let's go on. What about you, Amaryllis? Taylor? Jess?"I say. "I've visited the woods twice. I really loved it there, but during me and my brother went the second time, we almost got caught by peacekeepers, so we never went there again." says Amaryllis. "Oh, you're lucky you didn't get caught." Taylor says. "Yeah, you and your brother could have gotten whipped." I say.
"I ALWAYS go there! It's really beautiful and peaceful. " Jess says, excitedly. "I've never ever went to the woods. It was too risky. And I have no one to go with me." says Taylor. "Really? You wanna go there now? The entrance is just 5 meters from here!" says Jess, and she points to the broken wires, and we could all easily fit! "We still have a spare hour, so, let's go!" Jess says. "No way! We might get caught, and who knows what's in there!" Taylor says. "I do!" Jess grabs Taylor's hand. " Urgh, just come with us!" exclaims Jess. Jess was always the adventurous one. "Wait! We as well might get caught..." I say, and Amaryllis agrees. "Oh, it's alright. Come with me, I promise you, no one will get hurt." says Jess.
We sigh, and Jess leads the way. We find ourselves 20 meters from the fence, and then I see the hollow log where Katniss keeps her bows and arrows. "Oh look, Katniss still has her bow from when she was young. You guys think I should try it?" I say. "Sure, she probably won't mind!" says Jess. "Okay." I reply. I try to shoot a squirrel up in a tree, but I miss. Then I shoot another, and it's a clean shot in the eye! "Oh my! I shot a squirrel!" I exclaim. "Wow!" the three of them say altogether. "Let's bring it home then." Amaryllis says. I put the bow and arrows back into the log. We take a short stroll then we go back to the fence.
"Isn't it amazing?" says Jess. "It's PERFECT in there!" says Taylor. "Ha, I told you so!" says Jess. "Alright. Let's go back to my home and we go straight to school, okay?" I say. "Sure." says Taylor.
When we arrive at school, we had 5 minutes to spare. "Bye Jess, bye Amaryllis. See you later at lunch." I say. "Bye." says Jess. Taylor and I were at the same class, so we go there together. They talked about coal and things. Then later at lunch, they gave really scary updates.
