I find myself in her bedroom. I'm not sure how I got here. It was all like white noise. We were talking on the bus after school and I think I asked Noelle about why she wasn't at school. She didn't want to tell me in public. One thing lead to another and I'm in her bedroom. This is the first time in a girls room. Her walls are light blue like the color of the sky with posters taped everywhere. There one thats says fight club with two men and one is holding a bar of soap. Snouts says pavement. There are many more but I don't recognize anything on them. She has an electric and an acoustic guitar leaning on the side of her dresser and wall. We are sitting on her bed which isn't made. Her blanket is deep blue like what you'd imagine the bottom of the ocean would look like. Her bedsheets are white and her pillow is patterned with superhero comics. She has a big record player at the foot of her bed and a basket of at least 50 records to go along with it. Her drapes are blue velvet. Next to her bed on a night stand is a Spiderman tissue box, a ring pop, a clock, and a small painting of a rose.

"So this is my room," she says. A room expresses a lot of someone's personality. You never truly know someone until you see their room. "Cool," I respond. "I know you saw me," she says looking at me so sharply I feel like she's reading my soul. "I saw you. That night. The night my brother got arrested." That was her brother. He's so much older. "Oh I'm sorry." I say not knowing how to react. "Yeah so am I. He's not bad. He didn't do anything. He's still in jail. Well it's not jail. I don't completely understand the situation."

"Why did he get arrested?" I ask, desperate to know the answer. "So my sister... how do I put this... uh is a complete asshole." She continues, " In addition to that she has bpd. Borderline personality disorder. My brother was eating cookies or something and my sister wanted some. So my brother being the dick that he is are them all as fast as he could. Not to surprising. But my sister got angry and blew the whole thing out of proportion. She screamed at him for like half an hour and he got fed up and tried to hurt her. Not injure her just push her out of the way a bit so he could leave the room." She sniff and wipes her nose. She's not crying and doesn't even look sad. She starts talking again, "And Adrianna my sister thought that she was getting abused. So she called the fucking cops." Noelle paused. "Woah" is all I can think to say. "Yeah," she says. "So the cops show up and my mom is furious with my sister. The cops said they had to arrest my brother because it was 'domestic violence' and so they hand cuffed him. He's only 20 for gods sake. What the fuck. The cops talked to my sister and they realized she's crazy but they still had to arrest my brother. He spent the night in prison. I hate my sister so fucking much she a fucking bitch." I don't say anything. "Sorry I'm cursing so much I'm just so pissed."

"It's ok I understand," I try to comfort her. She's really worked up and looks super mad. We talk a little but she said she had a lot of homework. I asked if she wanted to work together but she said that she worked better alone. I live across the street so I left. That is how I was kicked out of a girls house.

I immediately head up to my room and text my friends.

It takes a while but I get my first response.

Nathan: Why?! Did u break in. That's not cool.

Me: noooooo. She invited me.

Alex: why would she do that ?

Me: she wanted to talk to me

Alex: why

Me: because I'm interested.

Nathan: no your not.

Me: gee thanks for the support.

Alex: what did her room smell like????

Me: your such a creep.
       It smelled like cinnamon.

Alex: your the creep for smelling her room.

Me: what was I supposed to do hold my            breath??

Nathan: your both creeps

Then I hear my mom call my name. "Sam it's dinner." I run to the table and sit down at the head of the table and grab the remote. "Turn that off," my dad says. "You kids rely to much on television. We are going to eat dinner and actually talk to each other tonight." Me and my sister share the same look on our faces.
