As a werewolf, Wonwoo is a light-sleeper. Just try to pass by his room door and he'd bolt awake, no matter how long or short he's been sleeping. He can even wake up by the vibration of his phone when he's got a text or call. He's born very vigilant. Taking it from his late father who was a pure-blooded wolf. More of his qualities and habits are from his mother though. You can say he's more human-like. You wouldn't even doubt him being a dangerous beast except for the small birthmark placed just above his left hipbone. It was a crooked moonshape. He's oblivious as to what is the purpose of that mark, and he doesn't actually give a damn until it started to sting every once in a while. It's sting was sharp that he feels like his skin is being sliced. He asked Junhui, for if someone would know what that means, it'd be the vampire.
"I don't know, Woo. And you better not bother about it that much. Maybe it's just a natural wolf thing or whatever."
After Junhui answered, he left him to go grocery shopping. Wonwoo knows when the older isn't being honest with him. But he doesn't know how to make Junhui confide either. So he ought to find it out on his own.
At school, first day of classes, when Wonwoo and Junhui first stepped foot at the entrance, tagging along with them was Jisoo, Soonyoung and Seokmin, there were already pair of eyes staring at them. Some were awed, some were just curious, some were intimidated and the others just gave them a glance.
The group of boys kept walking through the hallways, shrugging the gossips from the curious students since they were new. Junhui patted Wonwoo's shoulder as they stopped at the door of the younger's first period class.
"Steady your heat, hold back your fangs, don't ever put yourself in danger. Just call me if something happens, I'll hear you." Wonwoo just clicked his tongue in return. He doesn't get it why Junhui gets so worked up when he already made Wonwoo take a full dose of the bitter candy to avoid transforming into a wolf. It's not like Wonwoo would let that happen.
"Who's gonna be in this class with me?" At that question, Seokmin and Soonyoung immediately took their places at either sides of Wonwoo, grinning stupidly. But friendly advice, don't let that smiley idiots fool you, for Seokmin is a vampire and Soonyoung is a shape-shifting wolf.
"Go on kids, play less and study more." Jisoo ushered them inside as he pull Junhui to their first period together. Jisoo is a pure-blooded human. But he is somewhat like a trusted wise advisor of the vampires. He knows more than anyone. The history, and the future. He can forsee them because he was cursed to have that special ability by the late king of the vampires, Junhui's grandfather.
Soonyoung is the first to step inside the cold room, being engulfed by the air coming from the airconditioner, followed by Wonwoo and Seokmin behind, lowkey protecting Wonwoo from anything.
They immediately found five empty seats at the back, taking the first three. The classroom was crowded but the students must be too distracted with their gadgets and conversations that the three did go unnoticed.
The door then swung open, revealling two students, panting ang sweating so hard who was pushed inside. Wonwoo guessed that it's the professor who pushed the two at the doorway.
The couple quickly bowed and ran to take their seats beside the three. Wonwoo tilted his head slightly to peek over Seokmin's head, catching one of the newly arrived staring back at him. He just looked at the boy coldly causing the other to turn away his head, ears red.
The class started after the three was forced to introduced themselves into the whole class. And Wonwoo's wasn't bluffing but is certain that the kid often steals glances towards him. What's even weirder is that Wonwoo, for the first time, stood self-conscious.
