He sat quietly
Beer in one hand
Phone in the other.
His friends voices
sounded as faded as the jeans he wore as his mind was busy,
looking around the lit up street for something.
Someone.
In the distance a figure came from the darkness and entered the shop.
Coming back out, the door ringed as the bell on it swung and a she stepped out.
Sighing out into the night sky she looked up with such lonely eyes, then down at her hands that held the key.
Opening the box
she stuck the
killing stick
between her lips and lit it.
