Summer neared it's end and the boys were scared. They didn't want to part ways, at all.
Today was July 21st. Their camp ended on the 26th. That gave them 5 days.
They sat alone, both in their separate beds. They listened to the silence, sighing. "Hey Mike?" Wills small voice broke the air.
"Yes?"
"What are we?"
Silence was there again. "What do you want us to be?"
"I don't know."
Will climbed up the ladder and rested his head on the bars of the top bunk. Mike was turned towards him, his eyes droopy.
Will leaned forward and pressed his lips to Mike's. Mike kissed back. It was gentle and soft. He pulled away after the short kiss. "Will you be my boyfriend?" Mike asked. "No pun intended."
This made Will laugh and smile. "I have to think." He paused as if he was actually trying to figure out an answer. "Yes." He leaned forward and kissed Mike's nose.
"Sleep with me tonight." He whispered.
Will doesn't hesitate and climbs up to ladder, cuddling into Mike's chest. Mike placed some blankets over him and cuddled closely to the other. He slipped his hand into Wills, feeling tears well in his eyes.
"I'm gonna miss you so much, do you know that?" He asked.
Will wiped Mike's tears and tilted their foreheads together. "Don't cry, you're gonna make me cry." He laughed as he started crying himself.
"Ill miss you too." He whispered softly.
