I looked around and my phone started ringing. Pulling the phone from my pocket, I looked at the number.

"Can you give me a moment?" I asked, looking up at the lady.

She nodded and I stepped through the doorway while answering.

"Hello?" I asked into the phone.

"Elena. It's Debbie." Debbie said from the other end.

"Is everything okay?" I asked.

"Fiona ruined my chance at a job she had me apply for by bringing Harry over. Can you watch Harry while I look for another job? I called Lip but he said he couldn't since he's at work." She explained.

I sighed. "I wish I could but I'm doing something right now."

"What about after you're done?" She asked hopeful.

"I have to get back to work." I told her.

"Please. I really need help." She begged.

"Debs." I started but she cut me off.

"Thanks for the help." She muttered before hanging up.

I sighed while looking down at my phone and saving the number under Debbie's name. Right then my phone started ringing again.

"Elena." Sierra said in a panicked tone.

"Sierra? Is everything okay?" I asked.

"Can you come into work? The register stopped working." She said.

"Did you call Fiona?" I asked.

"Yeah but she's not here yet." Sierra said.

I looked around and noticed the lady was looking at me concerned.

"I'll be there in a few minutes." I sighed.

"Okay. Thank you." She sighed in relief.

I hung up and turned to the lady while putting my phone away.

"Is everything all right?" She asked.

"Yeah, just my job. Is it all right if I call you back about this place?" I asked.

She nodded and I headed towards the door.

"Thank you." I called before slipping outside and hurrying to work.

Once I got there, I walked through the door to see Fiona and Sierra standing at the register that was broken. I quickly walked in, causing both of them to look up.

"Where have you been?" Fiona asked.

"Sorry. I had something to do." I said.

Fiona sighed and turned back to Sierra.

"Where you been keeping the cash?" Fiona questioned.

"Twenties, fives, tens, and ones." Sierra said pointing behind Fiona.

I turned to see jars full of cash.

"We used calculators and wrote everything down on a pad." Sierra finished explaining.

Fiona turned and Sierra walked behind the counter.

"Oh. Your Asian Nazi came looking for you earlier." Sierra said.

"Oh shit. I forgot." Fiona said. "This can't be right. This says that we made over a third more than we usually do."

"Grilled cheese was a hit." Sierra said.

Fiona scoffed and put the pad down. She put something under the counter and looked up at me.

"Now. Are you going to tell me where you been?" She asked leaning against the counter.

I looked over at Sierra nervously and she nodded. She was really the only one who knew about it.

"What?" Fiona asked.

I turned to look at her. "I've been looking for a new place to stay."

"You went to look at a place?" She asked.

I nodded.

"You find one?" She asked as she moved towards the back, making me follow her.

"Kind of." I shrugged.

"Kind of?" Fiona questioned.

"I was looking at a place while I got called in." I explained.

"You can go back." Fiona said.

I shook my head. "It's fine. Didn't really like the place anyways."

She shook her head while smiling. After a while Fiona sent me back to the Gallagher's since I haven't gotten enough sleep. I walked into the livingroom, setting my stuff down.

"Hey." Lip said.

I looked over to see him in the kitchen.

"Oh. Hey." I said walking over.

"You all right? You look tired." He said watching me as I joined him at the table.

"I'm exhausted." I said, rubbing my eyes.

"You find a place yet?" He asked.

"How'd you know?" I asked.

"You're not very good at hiding stuff like that, especially since you had your phone out on the table." He laughed.

I went to open my mouth to speak but the sound of the front door closing made me stop.

"Hey." Fiona greeted, walking into the kitchen.

"Hey." Lip greeted back.

It got quiet except for the sound of Fiona setting her stuff down and moving around the kitchen.

"I can't believe how fucking hot it is." Fiona said after getting a beer from the fridge.

She walked over and sat down.

"I'm sweating in places I didn't even know I would sweat." Fiona said.

"Yeah, it's fucking unreal." Lip said.

It got quiet again and Fiona started taking her shoes off. "I'm planning this big, uh, after-hours at Patsy's. Trying to promote our new times, get the club kids in."

"Sounds like a lot of work." Lip said while grabbing the bottle beside him.

"It is." Fiona said.

Lip lowered the bottle after taking a drink. "Why fix what ain't broke, though?"

"I want to do something different, something that's mine." Fiona shrugged.

It got quiet again.

"How's your internship?" Fiona asked changing the subject.

"I found out how the guys at my job have been, uh, flying under the radar. They use these things called proxy servers to reroute IP addresses from places where fantasy sports are illegal to places where they aren't. You know, so when the Feds show up they can't nail them." Lip explained.

"I have no idea what you just said." Fiona admitted.

There was another moment of silence before Lip started speaking again.

"Debbie and Carl were blowing up my phone today." Lip said.

"Anything serious?" Fiona asked.

"Even if it was, I was at work." Lip said.

"I was at work too. And I was getting paid for it." Fiona said.

"Look, um, I have the potential to make a fuck-ton of money. I can help this family in a real way." Lip said.

Fiona stood up and walked to the sink, pouring out her beer.

"You're not doing it for your family." Fiona said, starting to head upstairs.

"Hey. How much does restaurant management pay? You know, I bet it's less than a fuck-ton." Lip called up to her.

It got quiet again and I sighed while standing up.

"What?" He asked.

"You're an asshole." I said, walking towards the livingroom.

"You know what, why don't you just buy that house and get out?" He asked.

"Why don't you stay out of what isn't yours?" I asked.

"Why'd you even come back? We were better off without you." He spat.

I turned to continue the argument but Fiona cut me off.

"I took the GED so you would stay in school. I waitressed my ass of so that you could go to college and drink yourself sick. The past ten years, I've taken care of every single Gallagher in this family except one. I'm done." She said before walking towards the front door.

I looked at Lip one last time before shaking my head and taking off after Fiona.

"Fiona!" I called.

She stopped and turned to look at me.

"I don't want to be in the same place as him either." I admitted.

She looked at me for a moment before nodding her head. I followed her.
