Why is everything dark? I thought as I look around my surroundings. It looks like a small room, but I can't tell. There's no windows or doors, and I don't know how to get out of here. I don't even remember how I even got here in the first place. Last I remember was Xena making me go unconscious, and that's pretty much it. I black out, and now I'm here in this weird black room. It's so dark and I grit my teeth together as I blame Sirius. He's the one who left, and now look what happens. Now I'm stuck in a weird dark room, with no way out. Though I wonder what happened to everyone else. Are they okay? Did Xena do something to them? I let out a sigh as there's nothing I can do, and besides there all demons who can protect themselves. I shouldn't worry about them, but maybe I should worry about me. Who knows where I am, and who knows when or how I'll be able to get out.
I stand up from the ground and try to see how big this dump is. I instantly hit a wall, and I growl as I wish I could get out of this stupid place. Why did Xena dump me here in the first place? What's the purpose? I thought. I then jump when I suddenly hear a squeaking of a door opening. I turn to see light seeking through, and as I try to look it blinds me but only for a quick moment. I blink a couple times before trying to stare out but all I'm seeing is pictures. I tilt my head to the side with confusion, as I realize it's Sirius as a toddler. Wait what?
"Dada!" Toddler Sirius yells.
"I'm coming son." Someone says from a different room.
My eyes then widen as I watch a tall man maybe 6'2 or 6'3 walk out of a room, and he's tan; has shoulder length black hair; dark green eyes; long red horns that curve on his head; has large ripped and torn wings but are bone like; he's barefoot; and he's wearing a black buttoned vest and black breeches. I watch as he picks up young Sirius before he started to talk to him. I couldn't look away from him, he's a handsome guy and that's saying something considering he's Sirius's father. I look away suddenly as I realize I'm drooling over Lucifer. What the hell is wrong with me? I thought disgusted with myself. He's the freaking Devil and I shouldn't be drooling over him, especially since he's like really old and I'm only fourteen.
I turn back towards the scene slowly to see that it's changing, and I had to look away as it's blinding me again. When it starts to dim and I can see properly and everything I turn back. My eyes widen as I see Sirius again, but he looks to be eight and he looks really angry. Of course he's always angry though. That's just how Sirius is.
"Sirius come now." Lucifer orders sternly.
"No!" Sirius snaps.
"Sirius! Don't make me force you." Lucifer hisses.
"Your already forcing me!" Sirius yells angrily.
I then catch a glimpse of a tear falling down, and my eyes widen as I've never seen him cry before. Sirius doesn't cry, he yells and drops people. Why is he crying? I then jump when I heard a door slam, and I watch as Lucifer comes storming into the room with a pissed off look. He glares down at his son before roughly grabbing onto his arm. I widen my eyes even more as I didn't know what to do.
"Hey! Let me go, let me go!" Sirius yells desperately.
I kept watching as I didn't know what to do, and they soon disappear out of the room. The scene though, followed them. My eyes widen even more as I realize they are at a funeral, and it's actually on the surface. I look around, as nobody else seems to realize that Lucifer and Sirius are lurking behind a tree. I glance back at Sirius whose trying desperately to hold back his tears. What's going on? Why are they at someone's funeral on the surface?
"It's only a funeral son." Lucifer spats out bitterly.
"No it's not. It's my mothers funeral." Sirius growls at him.
My mouth drops open when he said mother, because I just thought he had a demon for a mother. Lucifer then glares over at him before roughly grabbing onto his shoulder, and I could tell it's painful just the way Sirius winces. I wanted to help, wanted to stop Lucifer but I couldn't go any further than I already am. I wanted to do something, but it's just pictures, just Sirius's memories.
"You don't have a mother no more! Get that through your head! She decided that once she said she didn't want to join us!" Lucifer hisses at him.
Join him? What like marry him or something? Is this why he's so snippy and is like he's on his man period? He's angry that the woman who gave him his son wouldn't marry him? How pathetic, and I thought the Devil...well actually I don't know what I've thought. I let out a sigh as I watch as Sirius cries, and it actually hurt me to see him that way. I'm grateful when the scene changed, but that quickly went away when I saw my village burning. I took a step back as I felt tears well up in my own eyes, and I watch as Sirius turns towards Cristobal.
"There, we've done the deed. Can we go now?" Sirius asks annoyed.
"Yes, but we still have to look for survivors." Cristobal reminds him.
"Ugh! Why?" Sirius complains.
"You know why, your father-" Cristobal starts to explain to him but he just dismisses him, "yeah yeah, who cares about him." Sirius says before looking over at the village.
I then notice Jessamyn and I running in the far distance, and realize that's how Sirius and Cristobal found us. I watch as he bumps shoulders with him telling him that he found the survivors, then he took off leaving Cristobal there. I watch as he flew into the air, and then landing behind me putting his wings away. I watch Sirius stare at me watching my home burn, then I start running towards my house when I heard my mothers faint screaming. That's when Sirius moves and tackles me to the ground. I felt a tear slide down as the scene disappears, and all I got is darkness. Why? Why did it show me these-these memories? Visions? Why? I thought confused. I shake my head as I lean against the wall, and I just want to get out of here.
I then hear something, like something is trying to get in. I look around as I didn't know what it is, and suddenly my head starts pounding like someone hits it with a hammer. I put my hand on my head as I suddenly see someone in front of me. I slowly look up before jumping from shock, as I first thought it was Xena but it's not. It's someone else who looks like her.
"I hear your memory got messed up." She says in my mind.
Ugh! I hate when they do that! It's so freaky and creepy! I give her a once over, and see that she has some similarities and differences with Xena. She has long dark blood red hair that's in a braid, her skin is slightly different than Xena's; hers is pinkish grayish, and her eyes are the exact same as Xena's. Their bronze with no pupils, and they look like their dancing inside of her eyes; her nose is flatten like Xena's; her mouth is sewed together, but her outfit is different. She's wearing a black strap that wraps around her breasts, and she's wearing a black skirt that has a slit on both sides, and they go all the way up to her thighs. This seer is also barefoot but I'm guessing they all will be, and her fingernails are long and are painted gold.
"Let me introduce myself. I am Mino, the new seer for the King of Hell." She tells me telepathically.
"Um, hi. I am Cordelia, the lost and confused." I tell her with confusion.
"I bet you are. My sister kidnapped you, and messed up your memories. I am hear to help you remember." Mino tells me.
"Um okay. How long will this take exactly?" I question her.
"Only you can tell." Mino tells me telepathically.
"Gee thanks. That's very helpful." I tell her sarcastically.
"Be sarcastic all you want, but if you want to wake up and remember your memories. Then you will let me help you." Mino tells me getting impatient.
"But I'm already awake, and I have my memories. I know what happened, well kind of. I know who you are, your a seer. I know this sister your talking about is Xena, and she's a seer." I explain to her.
"She was a seer. Xena is dead now, and you might have your memories here but out in the world you do not. Your unconscious right now, and you have no memories from after the fire of your village." Mino explains to me carefully.
"What? No, t-that can't be true." I say trying to think back.
"Think about it Cordelia, do you remember how you got here? To this strange place?" Mino asks me telepathically.
"I-I-no. I don't, but how is this possible?" I question her.
"Xena. When she made you unconscious that day, she kidnapped you and she went inside your head. Instead of showing you visions like us seers do, she showed you memories and visions but she changed them up a bit. She made it so when you wake up you won't remember much anymore. There was a goal in this, but she never got to finish as Sirius and his two friends came ruining her plan." Mino explains to me.
"If she didn't get to finish, then why am I here?" I ask her with confusion.
"Your here because your the memories, your the soul of helping your body get back to normal. While your body suffers from the unknowing, your here suffering from being alone and lost. You won't be able to get out of here, until you know the truth." Mino tells me sternly.
"The truth? The truth about what?" I ask her more confused.
"The truth about what my sister has been hiding from you, and the reason why she wanted to change your memories. If you can find out the truth, then you will be free." She tells me seriously.
"How do I do that?" I ask her desperately.
"By watching the visions." Mino says pointing towards a door that is slowly opening.
I stand up as I slowly walk over to it, and I swallow as I start watching the scene in front of me. My eyes widens when it's the scene of when I got a splinter in my foot, and I roll my eyes as I just watched Sirius dig the splinter out of my foot. That really hurt, and he didn't even care. I watch as he holds up the bloody splinter in his hands, and I look over at my face to see that I'm gritting my teeth in pain.
"Sirius! You ripped it out of her foot! Now her foot is bleeding and will more likely scar!" Cristobal scolds him.
"Whatever. Now we can keep moving." Sirius says flatly.
He's so mean, and he's still mean but of course he kind of mellowed out a bit. I've noticed that in him, he's not as bad anymore only when I get on his nerves. Whatever, he's still annoying chocolate poop. Aha! I haven't called him that in forever, and I know what I should call him when I first wake up. I smirk evilly as I can't wait to wake up, but then I stop smirking when I see the scene unfold.
"Oh hell! Your too slow!" Sirius yells angrily before stomping towards me.
"Now hold on Sirius, it's not her-" Cristobal starts to defend me, "Shut up Cris!" He yells at him before he suddenly scoops me up into his arms.
I watch as myself widens her eyes and puts her arms around Sirius on instinct and I couldn't help but feel my eyes widen themselves. It's weird watching myself do something that has already happened. I glance over at the scene to see that he's still carrying me, and I felt weird inside. I look away as I didn't want to watch no more, but then I notice Mino standing there watching the scene with me.
"How interesting." She says as I notice the scene behind me changing.
I turn back to notice it's the scene from the party. I furrow my eyebrows, as I didn't get why until I saw the house collapsed on top of me. My mouth dropped open and my eyes widen, and I didn't know what to do. I then saw Sirius stopping in his tracks, and he looks frozen and frighten. I stare at him almost appalled, as I've never seen that look on him before. He suddenly starts running towards the collapsed building, and starts moving everything as fast as he can. I've never seen him act like this. I kept watching him move broken planks and broken glass, until he finally moved a half broken log. I watch as Sirius's eyes widen as he quickly uncovers me, and wipes away some dust off of me. I watch as he slowly picks me up and carries me over to a bench.
"Can one of you put this back up?" Sirius asks turning to the others.
Chax comes over with a frown, before putting the bench in the right position. I watch as Sirius sets me down on the bench carefully, and then he looks straight at Zakary. He seems to get what he was thinking as he comes over and puts his hand over me with his hand glowing a warm yellow.
"She's alive, but it's going to take a bit for her to heal." Zakary explains to Sirius.
I look away from the scene and I felt my chest tighten as my heart is beating a mile a minute. What does this mean? Why did he act like that? He almost acted like he-like he likes me, but that's impossible isn't it? He's a demon and I'm a human. We can't like each other, can we?
"Did you figure it out?" Mino asks me telepathically.
"I-I don't know. I'm more confused than ever, because he almost acted like he-like he likes me. That's impossible though, right?" I ask her.
"Why is it impossible? After all, Lucifer was with a human and had a child. Xena foretold that Sirius will have a human soulmate, but was never told who it actually is." Mino explains to me carefully.
"Wait, huh? Are you trying to say that I-I'm Sirius's soulmate?" I question her even more confused.
"Uh huh." She says simply.
"What? I can't be his soulmate! He's a demon! A demon prince at that! I'm only a human, a very very poor human at that! We will never work! Who the hell paired us together!" I yell appalled.
"It wasn't me, and I do not know. Just must be destiny." Mino says getting annoyed.
"Destiny? No, no no no! This isn't destiny! This is someone's sick joke, and it's not funny!" I yell.
"I think your ready." She says yawning.
"Ready? Ready for what?" I ask dumbfounded.
I suddenly felt lightheaded, and I look up at Mino who nods at me before disappearing. I then slide against the wall again before slowly going unconscious, but before I went fully under I notice a similar little girl watching me from the corner.
