Being famous was something that you wished for when you weren't famous and hated when you were. It was like a wish that was a curse in disguise.
At least that's how Eddie Kaspbrak would call it.
Eddie was born from a mother who always wanted him to be famous so she wouldn't need to work too hard and could stay home whenever she wanted to. When he was two years old he was put into a movie as a younger sibling of a dysfunctional family. Eddie didn't really like acting that much, but he loved choosing the characters he wanted to act out as and usually he chose someone he wasn't like usually the leader or the funny one of a movie or TV show.
It wasn't until he read the script of a new TV show related to 80's nostalgia and mystery that he knew that if he got it right, he might be famous in a show that will be loved for years. So, he chose the leader of the group named "Tommy", the leader of the group of geeks who had parents who ignored him since the death of their older son and when he got the part, boy was he happy.
Richie was born into a family that neglected him since they cared more about their work than his childhood. When he was ten, he turned to music when some of his friends changed friend groups in school and it was the only thing that made him share the feelings that some of the songs sung about.
When he turned twelve, he began a band with kids in his middle school, but the other members just did it to get girls and the band broke apart while Richie was trying to mend it with bloody hands.
When he turned sixteen, he found members that had the same love of music he did and actually wanted to play music in a band. Their band name was "Pastel Kids" to look and appear the opposite of what their music really was which was synth punk. At first, they began to play their songs in bars and places where they could get the best money, but it wasn't until a video of Richie and his band playing the song "Pure Imagination" as a cover and being more 80s version of the song. The video became very popular and to their excitement, many people began to fall in love with their music, including record dealers. Some record dealers asked to see if they could be in their label and they choose the best of the group. Once their full album was out called "The Red and Blue Kids" with a two dolls and one of them was red and the other was blue. The next album they came out that was coming out the next year was called "The Primary Kids" that had a brown bunny in front of a white background.
There was Bev, who was their synth master and knew the piano in her sleep, but she also was Richie's smoking buddy when things got tough. Stan was the keeper of their bass, who once lived with the Rabbi until he had run and lived with Richie and his family who didn't mind him living in the house. Bev and Stan sat on his left and right. Max is the drummer of the band and is the most underrated person in the band because she is also a YouTuber and can barely go on interviews, but always goes on tour with them. Mike Hanlon was the lead guitarist of the band. He unlike the others had lived in isolation because he lived on a farm until he had met the group. Last but not least was Richie. Richie was the singer, having a voice of the devil which made most of the girls fall for his beautiful voice.
