Lance tapped his fingers on his desk. Every second of contact of his fingers sounding like raindrops. Drip, drop.
He wasn't paying attention in class. It was obvious that he wasn't. He suddenly jumped fron being talked to.
"Mr. McClain! Did you hear what I just said?" Lance stared at his teacher. Then snapped to reality. "Uh-urm.. You said that we have a project due on October 23.?" Lance replied, the teacher glared at him. "Moving on!" She walked away from his desk and went to the front of the room. Lance rolled his eyes. "Anyways class. You will be paired with 1 person for the project. Your investigation is on different plants, the subjects are flowers." All the girls perked up. "They can be whatever you want, Lily's, Oleander's , Pansy's. " A kid in the front of the class raised his hand. The teacher sighed, "Yes, Ronald.." "What is the purpose of this project you speak of?" The teacher rubbed her temples, "Relationships, Friendships. All that nice stuff, I didn't really deside this, you know? The counsler made me do it.."
A group of annoying kids behind me asked, "CAN WE DO MARIJUANA FOR THE PROJECT??!" "NO!!" The teacher immediately replied. They snickered.
"Okay moving on, I made a box that you all will draw from to deside your partners, since there is an equal amount of kids here today, ten of you will be split up to draw the cards, and ten of you will listen for your names." We all nodded in agreement. I'm hoping I get someone smart who doesn't want to do Marijuana as the project plant...
"Okay when I call your name I want you to stand next to me."
She starts the names
"Freddie G, Guilia C, Katie H, Deric U, Allura P, Steve V, Naiomi B, Caluseen B, William S, and Keith K." As they line up, I make eye contact with my friend Katie, but we call her Pidge. She reassuringly gives me a thumbs up.
The first peron drew his card, reading the name. And then when Gulia is up next she reads her card, "Ta-Takash-eye Shirogane?" The dude raises his hand, "Its Takashi Shirogane ." I bet that happens to him alot. When the drawing of cards is to Pidge next, she takes a deep breath and gets a card, also reading it. "Hunk Garrett." She exhales in satisfactory. Hunk is also one of our friends. He's really good at cooking. As everyone got a card. They finally reached the end. And I noticed that I was the only one that was left, and so was a black haired mullet hippie that was just plain weird. As he plainly reached into the box, he pulled out the card and read the name. "Uh, Lance McClain." He looked up from the card to look at me, but then turned away to look at the floor. I rubbed my eyes. Are you serious! I get stuck with a nerd, weird, edgy, vampire person!
Hope he doesnt kill me before school does, but either way I die. As the student named Keith sat down at his chair, the bell ringed dismissing us from class. Keith got up super quickly, leaving first. Running after him was the dude that has a hard-to-pronounce-name. But the class calls him Shiro, but Gulia was a transfer student so she didnt know that.
Pidge walked up to me, "Hey! Look its lucky man Lance!" I glanced at her, "Why'd I have to be stuck with him!" I exclaimed pointing at the door. "Hey relax man!" She said patting my back, "If he tries to kill you, ill make sure to kill him with knife dropping or killing drones!"Pidge smirked. "Hey now, I don't want you to go to jail for that though!" Hunk exclaimed "Well worth it for Lance." She poked my shoulder
I laughed, "Its okay guys, I'm pretty good at keeping my self safe." We had already been walking towards the front doors to leave. "Yeah right Lance! Remember that time when your little sister spread her lego's on the floor of your room, and when you woke up and stepped on them you felt alot of pain!" Hunk steps in, "And that time you came over to my house and my fluffy doggo assaulted you with kisses and you screamed like a girl." I groaned. "Stop reminding me of the past!" They both snickered.
We were standing under a shaded tree while talking about this, but suddenly Shiro walked up to us with a Red and White backpack in his hand. "Hey Lance! Would you mind hanging out with Keith? He really needs to be social." He said laughing "I do not!" I suddenly realised that someone was still wearing the Red and White backpack. It was Keith, and he was carried here by Shiro. "Ppphft." Hunk and Pidge laughed in their hands. Shiro let Keith go and made Keith face me. "Keith say Hello." "Hello." He stared at me with what seemed like boredom and nervousness. "Hello Keith. Im Lance." "You are." He replied sarcastically. "Okay bye Keith, I got to meet up with Allura, call me if you need me to pick you up okay?" "Thanks Shiro."
I glared at him. "Do you only speak one or two word sentances?" I asked smirking . "Actually, you asshat, I can speak as many words as I want to." Pidge and Hunk had left me with him. I groaned. "Okay look, I really dont want to start any negativity but we really need to work on this project." "Alright thats good with me." He shrugged, his eyebrows no longer furrowed. I looked at his eyes, they were weird. Purple and Blue? I heard the grass waving in the background from the wind, sounding like waves "So who's house, mine or yours?" I questioned. "Yours?" He replied. I laughed in my head. Oh wait until he meets my siblings...
