Ryland truly did have a nice life other than a few hiccups. His mom loved him and cared for him more than anything, and since she has gotten old Ryland takes care of her in turn. His father wasn't around when he was younger which in turn led him to grow up more feminine. People didn't understand him, so he got bullied. He also gets really depressed because of it and cuts his thighs, so he has scars littered all over them. He never told his mother though as he didn't want to burden her. His mother is also a very good pastry chef which led him to finding an adoration for sweets of all kinds. Though that also resulted in him gaining weight which also got him bullied. He doesn't let it get to him though and moves on with his life with big dreams to have a successful bakery one day
