"Loki!" , you cried, you couldn't concentrate. You weren't aware of the fact that Loki couldn't understand you, as you were a wolf and he was human. You wouldn't have cared if you had remembered though. You were busy trying to extricate yourself from this freezing chains squeezing your chest. Panic threatened to take over you and you struggled even worse, now that your heart was beating its fast fear driven pace. You knew that you would die if you couldn't free yourself anytime soon. You weren't keen on dying. Especially because suffocating was the worst possible way to die you could imagine. Whenever you had thought about dying you had been sure about one thing: You didn't want to suffocate. This wish didn't matter to who ever controls all the things, though.

Loki now stood on your bed, his fingers clutched around the frozen metal and his feet sunken deep into the laces, covering them with the dirt of the streets. He, too, was about to panic. He didn't know what to do. His plan, if he once had had one, ended as a complete failure. The love for you had driven him mad and taken away his normally cautious behaviour. He knew that you were dying and he didn't want to lose you because you were precious and the first person to ever really love him. There was Thor too but Loki always denied the love his brother felt for him. He just couldn't believe it was real.

"Do not die! Please, love, do not die!" , Loki begged, his voice was shaking. He was desperate to not give up on you but which use was it if you still died? Nothing. In all the stories the protagonists are very happy if they at least die at the side of their true love but this is just not how you feel when you really are being crushed by frozen metal chains. In the main time this very fetters had dug themselves into your chest and blood was pouring out of a wound that could not heal because the chain stayed where it was.

You could suddenly feel the chains vibrate with an energy which's source you didn't know. It was a lot of strong energy in the colour of the dying sun, swirling around your fetters. It looked a bit like small glowing snakes winding around a tree. It was not Loki's doing though as he flinched as soon as the glowing energy appeared. Someone else had come to help you. You just couldn't appreciate it as your vision began to fade because of the lack of oxygen and the frozen chains in your chest. In the moment the world went black you heard the chains crack and then you felt them brake. You were free. The air rushed into your lungs, the wound started healing. You still felt dizzy and you couldn't see clear.

But you could still feel two strong arms being wrapped around you. The hands lifted you up from the bed and a soft voice purred something. Your senses were too far away to make any sense of anything but you felt comfortable, even though the hands were cold. They pet your pelt in such a gentle way that you closed your anyway useless eyes. You wanted to sleep and forget the world, pressed against Loki's chest, listening to his regular heartbeat and inhaling his familiar scent.

Your confidence was destroyed by a sharp yell, a short fall and a hard landing. Yelping you struggled for balance and your tired senses started working again, showing you the world in a strange and very clear way. You saw that the door to your hospital or better prison room was open and there stood Tony Stark, wearing his iron man suit. Thor peeked over his left shoulder and Steve over his right. The were ready to fight. All of them. And they threatened your precious Loki who just stood there, his arms lifted in surrender. They didn't even look at you, expecting you to be weak and unable to fight. They were wrong about this. You could fight and with Loki on your side you felt strong enough to win.

Tony Stark pointed his hands at Loki, showing his palms. You could hear the whirring of the mechanism that produced the dangerous light. He was about to attack your lover. Loki stared back at Iron man, his eyes looking like glowing coal. Angry. Ready to kill. Just how you felt inside.

"Don't you dare touch my boy!" , you hissed, knowing that the Avengers didn't understand what you said. They didn't need to. They didn't need to understand how you threatened them. Even though there is a strong language barrier between wolf and human a growl will be understood from the both of them. There couldn't be any misunderstanding.

"Shut up, cub. You don't stand a chance! Didn't you learn your lesson?" , grunted Iron man, looking down at you. You just growled your low, dangerous and threatening growl, desperate to keep Loki safe. Ready to die and kill for him if you needed to.

"I did reproduce this cute little bullets of yours, the poison inside them was indeed very strong. I changed it a little bit, you know. Just to make sure you die this time" , said Tony, pointing an iron covered fist at you. Captain America jumped out behind Iron man and attacked Loki. You heard him yell and saw how a strange construction rise from within the iron suit of Tony. You couldn't help Loki right now, you first had to get rid of annoying Tony Stark.

The bullet was faster then you remembered it and you growled in anger. Something deep inside of you took away all the fear and told you that you would not die. Not today. Never. At least not through the hands of Tony Stark aka Iron man. Not when Loki was there. Not when your love needed you.

Loki was fighting with Captain America. He couldn't help you. You had to help yourself. Your paws suddenly felt very light and there was a strange glow around you, changing the lighting of the room. The bullet was still on it's way towards your face. You stared at it. There was a flash of this dying sunlight again and the bullet stopped in mid air. A heartbeat later it fell to the ground where it rattled and stayed. Without further thinking you threw yourself against Iron man with a force you hadn't known before. He fell backwards, pushing Thor down with himself.

You rested your paws on Iron man's chest, forcing him to stay on the ground. With a move as fast as lightning you ripped off the Iron helmet, unpacking Tony Stark's face. He stared at you with surprise and horror, incapable of moving. You snarled, lowering your head. Your teeth glowed white in the blue light of the room and the red light coming from you. The fury inside of your chest nearly made you burst.

This man had tried to kill you and this couldn't be forgiven. The man that just now started twitching under your strong paws had killed Hades. Hades, the loyal friend that had been on your side for years. The friend that never left you, accompanied you when you went into the forest and never really feared you, no matter how angry the wolf was. No matter how loud you howled. This disgusting man had taken him away with a blink of his evil eyes. He was not a good guy, after all. Not for you. It's always the person watching that decides if you are evil or not.

"You are evil!" , you howled, digging your teeth into the ugly face of Tony Stark. He yelled in pain and you snarled a satisfied snarl, pressing your jaws together even hared, enjoying the iron taste of blood inside your mouth.

Someone grabbed your neck and pulled you away from the still crying Tony Stark, making your teeth scratch across his face. You knew it was Thor without even seeing him. He held you like a mother cat holds her kitten. You struggled to keep the rigid away that overtakes every animal when you hold it like Thor held you. It was a tough task.

"Stop it! You once told me that you could not be a god because you did very bad things. Do not add more bad things to your list!" , shouted Thor, lifting you in front of his blue eyes. You snarled at him, feeling blood dropping from your jaw. Tony's blood. Thor was right but the wolf was in charge and you didn't care about right or wrong. You didn't really feel the urge to stop the wolf and gain control again. You furthermore enjoyed letting the anger rage. Still you didn't want to hurt Thor.

"Let me go!" , you spit out, twisting in Thor's strong grip. He didn't loosen it, though and he didn't understand you either.

"Calm down, woman of wolf! We can still talk about it and..." , he was interrupted by a dreadful cry coming from Loki. Your heart stopped for a moment and you tried to turn in Thor's hand to get a look at your lover but you couldn't.

"It's far too late to talk" , you hissed, clutching at his arm and setting free the glowing, raging energy. Thor yelled in pain and let you go. You spun around on your heels ,shooting an angry look at Tony Stark who lay on the ground, sobbing, blinded by the blood dropping into his eyes. His whole face was a grotesque mask of blood and flesh. He was no danger to you any more so you focused your attention on Captain America who pressed his shield against Loki's throat, making him choke.

With a loud howl you threw yourself towards him. He was fast, moving his shield in front of him. You popped against it and pain made you groan when your shoulder hit the metal. The light around you grew stronger and the anger grew with it. A strong burning rage squeezing your lungs and your heart, yelling at you to let it out. The meeting with Captain's shield only frustrated you.

"What do you even fight for? There is no need for you to be involved!" , you hissed and felt strange doing so. You were talking to yourself all the time. It slowly got very frustrating. The main anger of yours was focused on Tony but Steve just made you hate him by attacking your love.

Loki took the chance as Captain was distracted by you circling him and punched the man on the nose. In this moment you released the anger and energy, launching yourself high into the air, nearly touching the ceiling, flying over the shield. You caught a short glance of Steve's eyes. They displayed shock but also how impressed he was by your jump. A real warrior appreciates his opponent if he's fighting well.

He didn't have much time to appreciate it, though. You already sailed down behind him, spun around and dug your teeth into his neck, shaking him slightly. The energy was set free. You could see a red string dig into Steve's head and he stopped moving and went all numb. You instantly let go and stepped back staring down at your opponent. He was still breathing but blood was spilling out of his neck.

"Well done, love" , you heard Loki mutter from behind you. You turned back into your human form and took a deep breath. Thor stood in front of you, his hands were red, as if they had been burned by something and you knew it had been you. You had broke the chains, you had burned Thor's palms and you had somehow knocked Steve out. All of this with the energy in the colour of the dying sun. Loki placed his hand on your shoulder.

"Was it worth it, spirit?" , asked Thor, his eyes seemed sad, "Loki? Was it worth it?"

Loki took a step forward so he stood next to you now.

"Did we have a choice, Thor?" , asked Loki, he sounded tired and ecstatic at the same time. He loved a good fight but he didn't take any weapons with him. He had put you in danger and he had to be rescued by you. Not a good day for him. But you were back at his side. He was back at your side. With a loud sigh you placed your head on Loki's shoulder.

"It's not about having a choice, love. It never is about having a choice" , you mumbled, shaking your head.

"Thor, there was no need of attacking us. No need at all. We wouldn't have attacked any of you. We are no danger to any of you. But Tony is unforgiving and suspicious. I never planned to betray you. Not until now. He judged me for loving your brother Loki because he's fanatic. He has this one idea. He's sure that Loki is evil and only bad things result out of his doing but that's not the case. I'd appreciate if you'd just let us go. I know how you think about Loki" , you said with a voice that lacked every kind of power. You felt tired and down. You needed to sleep and to think and to understand.

Without looking at Thor you took Loki's hand and pulled him with you, out of the room. His brother didn't hold the two of you back but you heard him mutter something.

"You always put me in trouble, brother. You are lucky that I love you, boy."
