Melody's POV.
"Wake up. Wake up. Wake up."
I'm gonna kill her.
"D wake up. We have to go over to my place so I can get my things packed."
Shit, I kinda forgot about that.
"Oh and your dad mind linked the pack this morning and told them it was safe. So we're no longer on lock down."
That made me sit up.
"So there's no trace of the guy from last night?"
She shook her head.
"Are you sure? So was he alone or what?"
She shrugged, "Yeah I don't know if he was alone you're gonna have to ask your dad about that. But he did say there wasn't a trace of him anywhere. Only a faint scent and it's only around the outside of the house."
"I'll link him give me 20 minuets and I'll be ready to go." I tell her looking at my clock to see that it's 11:30.
She nodded and left my room.
"Dad?"
"Yes Melody, what's wrong?"
"Are you sure that there isn't a trace of that guy from last night?"
"Yes, and we did a check around the whole island. There's no sign of him or anybody else that doesn't belong here. Everything is okay Mel."
"Okay I just really needed to know, but I'm gonna go ahead and get ready I'll see you later. Love you."
"Okay sweetheart. Love you too."
Now I feel so much better. Though I still have an uneasy feeling, maybe it's nothing.
I grab my things and head into the bathroom. After I get out of the shower and brush my teeth and throw my hair into a messy bun and look for something to wear.
I settle for a pair of shorts and an oversized shirt, I really don't feel like putting a contact in so I just grab a pair of sunglasses.
"I really feel like I'm forgetting something, I'll find out what it is later." I mumble to myself.
When I walk into the kitchen I see both Will and Niy sitting at the counter eating bowls of cereal.
Will pushes a bowl down the counter, "I fixed you a bowl when I heard you walking out of your room."
"Aw that's sweet of you darlin." Somebody must want something, I guess I'll find out what it is later.
After we finish eating we put our bowls in the sink and I wash them.
"Are you guys ready?" I ask them heading out of the kitchen.
I turn around when I don't feel them behind me. I look and see Niy with an amused expression on her face.
"What?"
"Well we're ready but you're not."
I looked at her slightly confused, "What do you mean?"
"You're not going anywhere without shoes or your phone." She says mockingly.
Shit! That's what I was forgetting.
"I knew I was forgetting something, I'll be right back."
I run upstairs to my room slide on my sandals and grab my phone from the nightstand.
When I get back downstairs I don't sense either one of them in the house so I head outside. I closed the door behind me and find them already waiting in the Jeep.
"Well that didn't take long." Niy says sarcastically.
"Shut up and drive." Was all I said to her when I got in.
Soon enough we get to Niy's house and it's a little after 12, so we still have time to say goodbye to the pack and hang out for a bit.
When we got in the house we're greeted by Niyla's dad, our packs Beta.
"Hi girls, it's been a little while since you were here last."
"Yeah that's what happens when your daughter keeps staying at my house." I nudge Niy giving her dad a smile.
"So I'm assuming you're here to help Niy pack up her things?"
"Yes." Will and I say at the same time.
Niy cringes at my side but her dad smiles at us.
"I'm gonna miss that, but you girls go on up. I'll talk to you later I'll be be with the Alpha. Rima should be up there somewhere, bye girls." And with that he walked out of the house.
"Come on come on let's go." Niy says practically pulling us up the steps.
"Remind me why I'm here again she's your best friend not mine." Will says as we walk in Niy's room, looks like somebody didn't get enough sleep.
"Because she helped with your shit last night Will, and she didn't have to so your gonna help with hers." I tell her while grabbing a box from under the bed.
"Sorry you're right. I'm just tired and stressed about this moving thing."
I walk up to her and poke her forehead, "I know how you feel, but everything is gonna be okay. Remember we're in this together." She hugged me and we all started packing things up.
It's around 1:30 when we finish up here so we head back down stairs.
"Mom, what're you doing I thought you were upstairs?"
She turned and looked at us then smiled.
"I was but I didn't want to bother you guys so I came down here and made you guys a cake."
I smelt the chocolate before she could even tell us what kind it is.
"Oh my goddess and it's chocolate!!"
I ran up to her and hugged her, "Thank you thank you thank you Rima!!" I finally let her go.
"You're very welcome honey, you guys help yourselves before she eats it all by herself." She chuckles and walks into the other room.
"Wait mom!" Niy yelled running into the other room after her mom.
"Well I'm gonna eat the cake, do you want some before I eat it all?" I offer Willow some before I keep it all to myself.
"Yeah, and cut a piece for Niyla too. You know she likes chocolate cake just as much as you do."
"Fiiiiiine. And I don't like it, I love it"
I cut her and Niy a piece and put them on two different plates.
I look up as Niy walks back in the kitchen with a big smile on her face. Will and I both look at each other.
"What're you so happy about?" We both say.
"First of all stop doing that and second I just found out what part of Virginia we're moving to."
I knew I forgot to ask that last night, dammit.
Will stands up from the table, "Soo where are we going?" she asks putting her plate in the sink.
Niy started bouncing on her toes, "We're moving to Virginia Beach!!" the smile never leaving her face.
"That's great, I'm just glade we're gonna be living near a beach."
This should be interesting.
"So what high school will we be attending? We gotta make the best out of our senior year." Will says trying to stick her finger in my cake.
"MINE." I yell as I poke her hand with my fork.
"Anyways I think mom said it was Oceans Lake or something like that, but they already started school so we'll only be in school for a few months."
"Well looks like senior year is gonna be short." Will says while rolling her eyes.
"So what I'm hearing is that we can still surf." I state, putting more cake in my mouth.
Niy smirked. "Yes D we can still surf and stop stuffing your face it's not lady like."
"I'm nothing close to being lady like so hush."
"That's true." Willow mumbled under her breath.
"Shut up love, cause you aren't either." I retort.
She held her hands up in a sign of surrender, "Hey I never said I was."
"Stop bickering. We still have a pack to say goodbye to now come on."
Over the past few hours we said goodbye to just about everyone in the pack.
Now that we're done we go our separate ways and head home. Niy wanted to spend her last night with her parents, and so did we. She dropped us off at home and headed back to her house.
"Will, I never asked you but how do you really feel about moving?"
She stopped and looked at me for moment.
"Honestly I'm kinda scared D, this would be the first time that we're going off the island. And I have a feeling that everything is about to change. Like what can we really expect, we don't really know anything about the people after us anyway or if it's only warlocks and witches."
I know how she feels but it's for our safety it's the only option we have. I take my sunglasses off.
"I know what you mean, but everything is gonna be alright we got this. We have stay positive, it's the only thing we can do and it'll give mom and dad some peace of mind knowing we're safe." I hug her trying to reassure her that we're gonna be fine.
"Come on, mom and dad are probably waiting for us."
And with that we both walk in the house and spend the rest of the night with our parents.
Willow's POV.
We literally slept most of the day since we stayed up all night with our parents, it's 12:00 in the afternoon, and we leave to go to the airport in a hour.
From what I can here D is still in her room sleeping, I'll wake her up when I finish getting myself together.
20 minuets later.
I'm dressed and ready to go, now it's time to wake the demon spawn up.
I walk into her room to find her still in the bed. Aw I think this is the only time she looks innocent.
"D wake up, you gotta get yourself together so we can leave."
"No. Let. Me. Sleep." She growled.
See, demon spawn.
Fuck it, I don't have time to be nice.
"MELODY RAINE GET YOUR ASS UP NOW SO WE CAN GO."
That had her up and in the bathroom faster than I could blink. I don't really like to use my Alpha tone but hey, it gets her moving.
My work here is done so I head downstairs to get breakfast.
About 20 minuets later she comes downstairs mumbling under her breath.
"Goodmorning sunshine."
She turned and looked at me. "Fuck you."
"Language Melody."
She whipped her head around to look at mom and dad, just now noticing them in the room.
"Sorry." She mumbled.
"I fixed you a plate, it's beside your sister. Now hurry up and eat so we can get you guys to the airport. Niy and her parents will be meeting us there." Mom told her as she washed her and dad's plates.
Dad stood up from his chair, "I'll go ahead and load your things into the truck while you two finish eating." then he walked upstairs.
My nerves are starting to kick in now, and I know D can feel it cause she whipped her head to the side to look at me.
"Calm down, everything is gonna be fine. Here drink some water."
I accepted the glass and chugged it all down.
"Feeling any better?"
I nodded my head.
"Come on mom and dad are waiting for us, do you have everything you need?"
I check my pockets to make sure I have my phone and earbuds. When I feel them I nod my head and go ahead outside.
"You girls ready to go?" Dad asked leaning on the truck.
"Yes sir." We both say climbing into the truck.
When we get to the airport we see that Niy and her parents are already there.
"It's about time you guys show up we have to board the plan in 10 minuets." Niy snaps at us.
"Looks like someone else woke up on the wrong side of the bed today as well." I smirk crossing my arms across my chest.
"Shh I'm just feeling really anxious and I don't know why, my wolf has been yapping in my head since I woke up. Something has her in a good mood, but I'm not in one." She runs both her hands down her face. "And I asked her what's going on with her and all she tells me is 'just wait and find out', I like to know things."
That's strange, but things are usually a lot stranger for her so it could just be nothing.
"Well I guess we'll find out later, come on we have to get our stuff on the plane." D says walking ahead of us.
"I'll go get your tickets while you girls do that." Dad tells us while walking off.
After putting our things in the back of the plane we each say goodbye to our parents, and we tell them that we'll call when we land and that we love them.
We give our tickets to the woman at the gate and board the plane.
"I want the seat closest to the aisle." I say waiting for one of them to scoot in.
"Why exactly? I mean I want the window seat, but why do you wanna sit right at the aisle?" D asks sliding into her seat.
"Because is something happens I'll be the first one off." I shrug as Niyla takes the seat in the middle.
"Yeah that's a good reason." Niy says sarcastically.
"Attention all passengers we are about to take off please buckle your seat belts."
We all do what the flight attendant said for us to do.
"And we're off girls, don't wake me up until we get there." D says as she makes herself comfortable.
This is gonna be a long flight.
